This gem from Riderfans: Winnipeg is strange in that other teams often play very poorly against them

  • "If that is a tribute to indigenous peoples. It’s a fail. I’m sure some people appreciate it. I’m sure they could have covered the logo in x’s or o’s and claim it honours indigenous peoples as well

  • Bombers have given up 2 passing TDs and have not given up one since week 3

There’s obviously a back story here that I’m not familiar with…

Got arrested trying to choke his gf out during a spat..I believe or something like that

When we first signed him, he couldn't get across the border because of assault charges against his girlfriend.

Dave Bovell was the most intimidating Safety we have ever had but Mo and Ba are more rounded. BA wins another cup ya gotta put him at the top though he really solidified our back end last year and it's all about the Cups baby.

Hoo boy... that's a story. Long story short, wifey ran up the cell bill so he tried to drown her in the tub. Once he could legally cross the border guess who signed him

That was one of Taman’s specialties…

It’s possible Maier had success vs the Bombers because they had limited film on him… Similar to Cornelius having some success vs the Winnipeg D in the first meeting

What success did Maier have? 16 points is not a successful offensive game. Calgary's defence played lights out against us.

Mo Kelly at S was a physical guy as well.

Those guys were about 78%...

You guys are sleeping on Cauchy Muamba...

Yes! The other Muamba was the most consistent safety I’ve ever seen.

How he never ever failed to be three steps too late was f***ing mindblowing.

My very first Bomber jersey I ever had was #30 Herosian.

Because I'm curious about this stuff... Where did you get Bombers jerseys back in the day? Did they have a Bombers store like today where you could get stuff?

His play on the field was before my time but I know he was a big Amway distributor in Manitoba.

He still is, I believe but he also owns & runs a personal training gym.

They had to walk uphill both ways through 10 feet of snow to buy a bolt fabric to make one themselves.

That would have been late 70's. I believe I bought it at a place called Athletes Wear off the downtown. No, there was no Bomber store. Most fans didn't wear jerseys in those days. They also weren't the highest quality. They got better as the years went by. With quality improving fans started wearing jerseys more & more. Teams soon realized that if they sold team jerseys & collectibles that fans would buy them & they could make $$$ off that stuff.

The choice is there, Athletes Wear....Was that not the commercial?
