Number 2 Pivot: Who Steps Up?

BC - Ricky Lloyd and first-year Leos Austin Apodaca and Cole Sears will handle the quarterback reps in hopes of getting a leg up on sticking behind Reilly on the depth chart. 

Edmonton- Danny O’Brian, Logan Kilgore, Briscoe.

- One big observation in the first week of camp is the depth at receiver. Standouts at the position have included Joey Augustin, Marquis Bundy and Mexican additions Fernando Richarte and Gerardo Alvarez. All CFL clubs are required to keep one global player on their roster beyond training camp.

- Defensive Line: Calling On Another Bookend

With Odell Willis having another strong showing in camp, the big question remains who will line up as the other bookend.

- Linebacker Adam Konar gets to battle some of his own teammates after he was cut loose and quickly picked up by the Lions on day one of camp. He’ll start at MLB

I think the CFLPA is going to have to realize at some point that appealing these rulings places their athletes in a disadvantageous position in future concussion-related lawsuits.

I think its well known around the league that if anything is done to anyone on the Bomber O that it will be taken care of quickly by our Oline. They don't let guys get away with that without retribution.

Completely wrong and out to lunch. Havnt read or heard a single thing that Lawrence shouldn't be punished. Some even advocated 2+ plus games. Good try though.

He will though.  It's his legal right. Rose appealed his shoving an official in the EF down to nothing.

I sort of wanted to see an initial ruling of 4 games, that would get whittled to 2. But I fear this will be 2 into 1 or none.

Hopefully the CFL discussed with the CFLPA before the release so they can put the matter quickly to bed without generating more bad publicity.

Happy he got two games, hope that there is no appeal.

It's his legal right if he asks. Rose appealed his and the league and society at large did not collapse.

We all know the circumstances that led them back to Zach Collaros but, knowing what they did with Collaros, they opted to go inexperienced behind him at QB.

I recall a Bomber win a couple of years ago in Regina when a rider was called on a high hit on Nichols (I think), and a particular poster on Riderfans was mad at the call and posted "Suq it up, Nancy. It's Football".  Shoes on the other foot and suddenly we have a league problem.  To be fair, Lawrence deserved and ejection and a suspension for that hit.

You're right. Of course he'll appeal.  He's not just going to accept this no matter how that release is written..

About as well as we figured it would.  No one thought Collaros would make the season. Sad to see him go out like that, but is what it is. If we have a prayer it will be with Harker and a run game.  Guess we will see.  Better it was game one than game 10

Rider fans had better hope that Harker doesn't get beaten up so badly and so often that he gets to be like Willy and other QBs who looked promising but had their confidence shattered permanently. Quarterbacks are the lifeblood of the league.
