Could you provide a list of guys you think have O'Shea on their enemy list due to your above scenario?

He must have asked for his release if he wasn't going to be on the game day roster. I don't see how else this makes sense.

  • He quit on the team. So screw him.

I know I mean he was a good receiver that our team picked up; it doesn't make sense; he didn't even get a chance to do returns or anything which is something he had also done in college ball.... he will definitely land on another team unless there is something else going on?

WTF, indeed.

This is more than a little surprising to me.

I know Flanders being on the field essentially limits our ability to put Thorpe on the game day roster but he (Thorpe) had tools.  Fought hard for yards, was willing to get dirty ..

this just doesn't make any sense to me...

He probably got tired of playing musical chairs in the line up. He probably should/could get another chance on another CFL roster.

Would he have asked for his release not wanting to be on the PR?

This is the only thing that makes sense... even then, my reaction would be "good point, Lankford can sit".... but then again, I never liked taking Thorpe out of the line up in the first place...

Unless Thorpe asked for his release, this is a move from the Bombers:

While the competitions are loading up for the playoff push, the Bombers is quite the opposite. What if we suffer injuries the next game, you ended up picking up a new player that need to learn Lapos system.

Can we hide Thorpe, who showed very much promise and is a better talent than Washington, in the 6-game IR?

Granted, the cut need to be made, why not make it earlier in the week rather than the last day of practice when majority of the game plan has been made?

Hoping it's a hang around town re-sign next week kind of move.  But he would be a nice add for a team like BC or Calgary who are somewhat lacking in possession YAC guys.

Why cut Thorpe over Washington, makes no sense. He must have asked for his release.

Maybe like Blaszko he will be back in a week or 2 or maybe he didnt like the cold? I dunno. Odd move.

I hope there is a plan B should one of our import receivers go down. This is a puzzlement and it would be nice if the Bombers cared enough to tell us fans what was going on.

One of two things has to be true. Either he asked for his release and it was granted or they are bringing in someone else to replace him on the roster that they feel is better (Eric Rogers please and thank you). I don't want to believe that they feel L'Damian Washington is a better player than Thorpe, that would make zero sense and is depressing to think about.

They had to make some room to bring back Roc, that's all I got.

Right,  we don't deserve, but as a fan we are interested to know. It's a normal human reaction when things happen that  doesn't make sense right away.

IF he comes back to lay a haunting on us I'm going to be totally pi$$ed off....I hope this is just a temp. move and he hangs around town....This is a head scratcher or there's another move afoot...Better be a good one

I was expecting additions to the team not deletions.  The Bombers are doing the exact opposite of the other teams.  Got to say that I'm getting pretty nervous

Wasn't it Walters a few years ago that preached that you are always looking to improve, even by small increments, because it all adds up?

Other teams gearing up for the playoffs appear to be subscribing to this.

The Bombers?
