GDT: Winnipeg @ Ottawa

Last game of the season, game time is 6PM.  Ottawa resting a bunch of starters.  Win and we are at least 3rd in the West and possibly 2nd.  Lose and we are either 3rd in the West or crossing over.

Most importantly, team has to play well to get some momentum into the playoffs after their horrible outing last week.

Another fun fact:   If we win tonight, Ottawa will have 1st place in the East with a sub .500 record.  If Edmonton wins this weekend, 4 teams in the West will be above .500.

Should the Bombers win tonight it will mark the first time in the CFL where every eastern team is below .500. Trying to predict the outcome or even how the game will be played is a complete crapshoot with all the players being out. Its like trying to guess the outcome of a preseason game.

I'd like to see Davis and Glenn get some time in this game if possible.

Ideally we beat the tar out of the RBs in the first half and get a big enough lead to rest starters in the 2nd half and Give depth guys starter snaps.

This game feels strange. It feels like a must win going into the play offs, coming off the last weeks game, and with a shot at a home play off game. On the other hand facing back up qbs invokes many terrible memories from the past of getting torn up by then no bodies who become some one against us. Crossing over seems almost as alluring as hosting a home play off game, especially with this years home performance/crowds.

Really just want us not to S&^% the bed tnite.

Wow!  Pretty dead GDT.

Really want to see Medlock to break the FG record.

Winning is always better than losing, even if it means it gives us a more difficult route in the playoffs.  We have to take advantage of the RB's sitting everyone.  We need to take them out to the back yard and all the way to the woodshed for a beating.

cant help but feel like a cross over is the easier path to the grey cup.

but if we lose to ottawa twice in a row we could be falling into a spiral of loserness.

unsure whats the best thing. if we win, im def cheering for a BC loss.

Without DD it will be almost impossible for the green weasels to win.

Bombers have to show up tonight, no matter who gets put on the field. That stinkeroo last game has to be wiped out of the minds of the players and fans. Where the Bombers start the playoffs is irrelevant by comparison. The team performance last game was so sickeningly similar to the way the Bombers played for most of last two years and to start the season that they need to impress the fans that it was a collective brain cramp and not their real selves.

Geez Tracker. Do you have to make the truth sound so bloody depressing?

My question is, when we play these stinkers, what is the common denominator? What is it that we're doing or not doing that is leading to these performances. We have to identify it and not do it any more. Conversely, when we play well, what are we doing that allows us to perform at that level and for heaven's sake, let's keep doing that! Please!!

By far the most important thing for me tonight is for everybody to make it through uninjured. Losing to the Redblacks B team would suck, but they could make it up to me by winning in the playoffs.

I think 2nd place is pretty much gone anyways. I can't see any way the Lions lose to the garbage roster the Riders will be putting on the field.

As I see it (and this should not be mistaken for gospel), we are fairly close to being competitive but we need a top-grade Canuck receiver (like Fantuz) but it appears that our greatest questions lie at the feet of our coaches.
