Who was that ******* NFL RB who got busted for pot so the CFL let him play up here for a season and he had a huge target on his back. He said he could run for 5k in a season and he didn't do **** because he was old and washed up at that point and every team just keyed on him heavy......

yeah that’s just not true, he went back to the NFL and was still a 1000 yard rusher.

  2. Why is everyone calling him Corny? Is this a nickname I’ve missed out on. Anyways, he’s a good athlete, with a decent arm, the difference between him and a guy like Collaros, and Rourke is that they use their legs to extend the play so that they can pass down field, to me once Corn Hole feels pressure he uses his legs and puts his head down to try and run, for Edmonton’s sake I hope the coaching staff is working on making him more of a pass first quarterback, especially once the pocket breaks down.

Shows how good number 8 is, the way he moves up the pocket with his legs to create time, his head still looking at the receiver down the field and to hit a 50 yard dime without firmly planting his feet, it’s just incredible, I don’t think any other QB in the league makes that throw.

He let Medlock do it but not Legghio. More like distrust in Legghio making the kick.

He had Matt Nichols as his starting QB and his best receiver was Darvin Adam’s. No disrespect to either of those guys but big difference. We played in a lot of closer games where we needed the 3 points and we left a lot of points on the board as it was settling for 3 instead of 7 in the redzone. Something we don’t often do anymore.

Sorry Mike for agreeing with you. I find it hilarious that the "usual suspects" go on the attack when anyone, even Mike, says anything that's not uber positive. It's nice to know that it's not just me.

I think Walters has had a great off season signing our own, but receiver is the only upgrade we've got from last year's shoulda woulda coulda won the Grey Cup team. It may be the only one we need as long as the older guys have one more year in them.

MOS' "We use our MLB differently than other teams" is the same lame excuse he's used before for much less talented people than Bighill. I love Bighill, but he didn't earn his salary last year, especially at the end of the season when he was a step slow and didn't wrap up. I can only hope that was due to injury, not age.

Jeffcoat's another guy who I don't think earned his salary last year. I'd have looked for younger/cheaper and used the extra to upgrade @ DT.

Bryant was still all star quality last year, but not a dominant as he has been. At 36, the wheels could fall off at any time.

Agodusi is a one game wonder, but that doesn't really matter because he'll be the 4th or 5th option.

We're still the top team in the league because Collaros is head and shoulders above any other starting QB in the CFL. Rourke was the closest QB last year, and he's in the NFL now, so it's not even close now.

    Bring on the 'Yah Buts'.

So if anyone disagrees with you it’s so called “ yah but” interesting..I guess that’s a full proof way of convincing yourself you’re right all the time.

People say we aging an old...but if you look at DB's for example....Darby is just 30...Rose and BA are 29....Nichols and Lawrence 28 and rest are 26 and under....lot of tread left right across the board...Not concerned at all, as for the 2020 era football player they are smack dab right in their prime years, or just entering them

Same with receiver...3 guys as it stands at 29...rest are in mid 20's....not an issue at all

as for oline...most dont hit their prime/best until 30....and we all know Bryant is still tops....as has the 2 other "old guys" Neuf and Hardrick at 34 and 32....save for Kolo rest are mid 20 somethings....perfect for an oline

Well said. We’re the best team on paper because unlike most great teams we didn’t lose anyone of consequence to FA, and we added the best receiver in the game to an already great receiving core. With all the injuries we had in our linebacking and secondary last season and the emergence of new starters we’re in a great position. Not to mention like you said our scouting staff is always bringing in new talent to fill our roster.

I don't see how though.... I mean OK let's say you like the Argos front 7 more (highly debatable since I think you are reading too much into age of these guys and some unfortunate injuries last season)... the Bombers offense is very clearly head and shoulders above the argos on paper and special teams who can really say but the argos biggest issue on teams is a kicker who sometimes goes on a mental walk about same as here. Overall the argos are not at winnipegs level.

The 15-3 Bombers who added the best receiver in the game aren’t the best team on paper? I mean fair enough @Mikeplease educate us on who you think the best team on “paper” is it the Toronto Argonauts who don’t have a starting QB currently?

2002 we went 12-6 and lost the West final on a missed FG to an Edmonton team that spent a bajillion dollars in free agency that year, before there was an SMS. Not an apt comparison...but if that is your worst case scenario I will take it.

Not to mention that early 2000’s team won nothing. I’ll take the pedigree of proven winners over a team that never was.

    A fluke...

    Fine. Have it your way.

The only fluke was that the Bombers didn't get killed in their 1 point loss.

I haven't seen anyone hereabouts mention that until we finally got that first Interception that four other ones before that went through Argonaut fingers and would've sealed the day.

We were more physical. That is never a fluke.

And to my everlasting amazement, Ryan Dinwiddie embarrassed O'Shea.

That all happened and the only luck was that it wasn't a multiple score Argo win.

    7-0.

You’re on a bomber forum we’re not going to sit here all day and circle jerk your Grey Cup victory. Congrats on the win, any given Sunday, let’s leave it at that and move on you don’t need constant validation from another teams fan base.
