  1. Call me a hater but I think Maier is extremely mediocre. He Didn’t even look good in Saskatchewan with a stacked offense.
  2. 100 percent would take a flyer on him. If he is even 80 percent of the player he was before our receiving core looks dangerous.
  3. I don’t think he’s a thousand yard guy. He’s a deep threat receiver who has a hard time tracking the ball, he’s going to be responsible for just as many interceptions as he does for big plays, I mean hey Hamilton is a good place for him to go to but he had every opportunity to take his game to the next level here and simply couldn’t.
  4. Don’t see how he fits in with our log jam linebacking core. I know it’s weird to think but he’s 6’1 233, would they consider using him in some schemes as an end?
  5. His highlights remind me a lot of what Streveler looked like pre injury but maybe not quite as quick. He has a great ability to escape from pressure but he doesn’t look comfortable at all in the pocket.
  6. Big catches, excellent blocker, just super reliable.. could have had a bigger role else where but understood the sacrifices it takes to be a champion. Would love to see the bombers make him a receiving coach down the road if he was interested.
  7. There must be discussions. The fact we didn’t pick up a vet indicates I think they’re confident Elgersma comes to Winnipeg barring a last minute NFL opportunity. I’m also curious to see how Bryce Perkins performs as well as I think he’s has a solid pedigree.
  8. Not a bad move, reliable vet. He was pretty good for us last year all things considered.
  9. You’re paying for the potential. Might be a great fit in Ottawa. He’s being paid like a number one guy now instead of being option 3/4 for Rourke. We will see how this plays out. I would not have been happy paying that price for him.
  10. Reasonable deal. He made 235 last year. With a rising cap this is a good deal for a guy we desperately need.
  11. https://3downnation.com/2026/02/01/jake-ceresna-agrees-to-terms-with-winnipeg-blue-bombers-sources/ let’s go!!!
  12. Exactly. I don’t get it. So O’Shea tells the GM he can’t spend money in FA last year but magically this year he’s ok with it? You’re totally right. Who knows why they were holding back, maybe there was a plan to save some money because they had someone on their radar but it didn’t materialize, maybe they didn’t have the money to spend, impossible to know.
  13. Love it! Nield is a baller. 6’3 he’s a big target, only 26.. I can see him taking the next step here in Winnipeg. Surprised we were in on Braxton but pleased. Put Stanley at RT, put Randolph back at guard where he was dominant at, have Wallace and Vanterpool at the other guard position and let Eli take charge and all of a sudden we have a great O-line. Also a little surprised about Moxey. DB’s is one position we seem to be able to recruit well but he’s a good player and will be a welcome addition.
  14. Westerman, Randle, and Legette. Three guys that transformed our D.
  15. Ceresna is straight up nasty. If we’re going to continue the rush 3/4 at the quarterback we need some big boys that are going to get through the interior quick. Ceresna is that guy. Par him with Lawson and all of a sudden I think you’ll see more opportunities from our ends.
  16. I would love to bring a guy like Joe Robustelli to complete our core. 6’3, 220 he looks like a future star in the making. Just stuck behind a deep and talented core. Bring him in with White, Wilson, and Demski and now we’re cooking.
  17. Yes. We need that alpha target, game on the line, makes the big catch. Demski is a great player, Wilson is a very good player but we need someone to replace what we lost in Lawler. Austin Mac is that guy.
  18. Things were going so well this off season, and then they just couldn’t help them selves and decided to get the gang back together. 2019 is going to be 7 years ago this season. You can rationalize bringing back one or two of these guys ( I would have moved on from all 3 but that’s just me) but all 3.. Clearly Walters and O’Shea are still living in the glory days; if teams like Montreal can move on from a 28 year old star because of injuries and objectively not living up to his contract I think it’s a no brainer about Wilson.
  19. There’s another guy in Montreal I would like us to take a chance on that we wouldn’t have to break the bank and that’s Charleston Rambo. Only 26 years old and had nearly 900 receiving yards as a rookie.
  20. At a guy turning 35 this year ? Good player but wouldn’t be my first target. Seems like he signed at a reasonable deal to stay in Ottawa.
  21. I need to see numbers before I pass judgment.
  22. I’m ok moving on from all 3 Amazing news about Vaval. I thought he was going to be one and done and get some NFL looks due to his age, but this is great news. He has a chance to become one of the all time great returners.
  23. Sayles was noticeably disruptive every time I’ve watched the bombers play the Ti-Cats. But if he was our big get on the D-Line I think I would be disappointed.
  24. I don’t think this should be a surprise. If you lock up any young All star player, prior to free agency you already know they’re going to be getting compensated by choosing not to make it to free agency.
