Darby’s salary is guaranteed now - right? Isn’t it after game 9 or so?

Otherwise I could see us releasing him

Why? He’s a Swiss Army knife that could play 3 positions. In a perfect scenario hes your first guy subbing in at one of those positions and if there’s any injury I’m sure he’ll be back into the lineup, plus he’s always been a good ST player. We don’t just release guys because we’re relatively healthy right now, it’s a luxury to have a guy like Darby being able to be plugged in at any hole we need back there.

But if my recollection is correct and I was young but had season tix with the parents the year of Mike Kelly, Mike Kelly kinda turned that Glenn situation toxic pretty quickly. The Kelly year stands out to me big time, I remember sitting by his winnipeg gf, I remember the boat incident.  I remember the handled internally stuff, I seriously have so many memories.  I met Mike Kelly ffs. Just yeah thinking back, crazy ****

Dude was a character but at that time I thought he was great and a breath of fresh air and he was very nice and polite to me

He brought in some good players in his one year with the team. He really built the nucleus of what would be the 2011 Grey Cup contending team. The big problem was he was very un professional, and obviously the big hole at QB.

Still can't get over cutting Kevin Glenn.

I know people have strong feelings about the guy, but just getting rid of a starting QB for nothing is just crazy.

Considering we traded a second rounder for Lefors and had to end up playing Michael Bishop it was absolutely awful in hindsight. Even with horrible QB play we were only one win away from a playoff birth. I’d imagine with Glenn starting with that 09 roster we would have likely been good enough for a home playoff game that year but this regime has made me forgive the short comings of previous teams, I don’t really sweat that stuff anymore.

Just letting everyone know I am alright.... Ha ha. At 22 down, I was cold and soaked from the rain, and was considering heading out and getting to my hotel an hour east of town. Coorsman talked me into staying and, in the end, I'm glad I did. To be able to see that Lawler catch in person is something special...

I told my girl friend at 22-0 we were going to come back and win that game. It’s the CFL anything could happen! Glad you stuck it out, must have been a very satisfying second half to be at the game!

that's a good point... they haven't announced yet, but there is a chance it could be a less-than-100% VAJ this week.

There’s no excuse to lose anyways. We’re almost completely healthy, coming off a bye, at home. If we don’t come out flying and win this football game I think we can agree it’s going to be a tough road to the Grey Cup.

We're playing the Elks folks. Expectation should be a big win.

    I don't like our front 7, but I expect a big win.

I think we should change out either Grey or Neuf, but I expect a big win.

I don't like our roster management, but I expect a big win.

Elks haven't won this year, so I expect a big win.

We're playing the freakin Elks, so I expect a big win.

Hell must be freezing over TBurgess is the voice of reason.

At this point I’m on board bringing Lemon in. One year deal - rotation guy.

He is out there (right?) go get him. I don’t recall him signing anywhere.

Yeah that stinks of desperation like the Bombers in 04 or 08 bringing in a washed up vet to fill the holes because we don’t have anyone capable in the pipe line.

  8. Will the media put any pressure on O’Shea? Does he even know this is an issue. Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. Anyways roster management has been a concern for years now but it’s especially piss poor this season. O’Shea is a great coach but he needs some push back here because these poorly constructed game day rosters are going to continue to cost us games, the hard truth is we are simply not good enough to coast by on talent alone.

Yup that play call to throw on 2nd and 4 backed up deep in your end after Oliveira just rattled off a 6 yard run. Brutal.

Exactly and before anyone asks what the difference is in the situation is with a 16 point lead with under 3 minutes left in the fourth our O didn’t 100 percent even need a first down but if we take off 25 seconds and punt it deep it’a pretty much over regardless, but in the second situation it’s only an 8 point game and the Bombers needed one first down to end the game, put the ball in number 8’s hands. Let him make up for the turn over to win the game.

Everyone did their part in the loss but the offense getting 3 or 4 first downs in the second half, dropping the ball, fumbling the ball, throwing interceptions can’t be overlooked.  If the best defense is a good offense, well that phase was MIA at the worst time as well.

Not to mention Bucks awful play calling in the fourth. Passing when they should have ran which resulted in a pick six, and then running the ball on second down when they should have thrown the ball to get the game winning first down.

Had one guy stood up in the 4th quarter and just made a single play it would of prevented the outcome.   I remember seeing the live odds at one point it was something insane like +3000 ,  for us to lose that game it required an insane amount of bone headed mistakes.     I never seen a collection of fumble, interception,  whiffed tackles,  blown coverage,  dropped passes in such a small amount of time.

If even Schoen catches it he takes it the house and it’s 32-9 and game over. Look I like him as much as the next guy but if he’s suppose to be that super star, future NFL player he has to make that catch. Never saw Milt Stegall drop a pass like that EVER and okay he doesn’t have to be Milt but that’s what a true super star receiver looks like.
