  2. Trying this another way. Took the latest version of the Bomber roster and assumed that if a player isn't listed in 3DownNation's FA List, they were signed for 2023 (at least). Also took into account "stuff I've read". This may calm you or give you conniptions. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy. Always wondered why we accept bribery when it's labeled as "lobbying" when it's a prosecutable crime with a direct paper trail of evidence? The biggest flaw in government today is that wealthy donors, unions and corporations are allowed to buy influence with payouts and promises in order to maintain their position at the top of the heap, it goes against all democratic principles of fairness and equity.

  8. TIL... Collaros is making 600k. Cripes. Good for him I suppose. As long as we can afford to keep him upright. Here's the thing about the BLM "sweepstakes"...... Is he really valuable anymore?? He hasn't shown that he's an elite QB since his shoulder got all buggered up. Someone is going to wildly overpay for a truck with a LOT of city miles on it...

Everyone knew the Vikings were pretenders you'll never win anything with Kurt Cousins as your qb and that last play proved it.

  10. Given the complete lack of star or even 2nd tier qbs available or the ability to build an ol over night in the cfl you can make a pretty accurate guess at who will suck at least.

  12. If that's the plan around announcements, I'm fine with that. It gives each returnee the limelight, interviews etc. Demski had better be next. i think I'd puke if I saw him in another jersey.

I was looking into this further. I work for a union, you have to register to be able to by the looks of it, and we don't. In fact I am required to fill out a monthly report to document any time I talk to a politician, and any time during elections we have to report every penny spent during the period, with a very low limit (like $3k nationally). Unifor does more so (under 1 million), but I'm going to guess that they're an outlier and that it's a veritable drop in the bucket in the big picture when you compare it to corporations. So, do some unions do this- yes- but I think it's disingenuous to lump them together when you look at the big picture. I don't think union contribution amounts are anywhere remotely near wealthy donors, corporations, or right wing organizations.

  15. I'd roll with Vernon Adams over Fajardo without even thinking twice. Fajardo is back up material only at this point in time.. and that's if you can't find any sort of prospect to bring in.

  21. A few days ago, when Yoshi's re-signing was announced in the Free Press, and he was described as ecstatic to be here. He said that at one time, he was reduced to living on mayonnaise sandwiches with only $18 and change to his name, so this is his best life. From the sound of it, he will be a Winnipeg lifer. Good to hear.

  24. great coach to learn under... no doubt about that... but he's QB2 (at best) behind the guy expected to be the face of the franchise for the next decade... so not a great choice in terms of opportunity

  26. I thought it averaged out to 550k. And I believe they used the remaining bonus cap to front load cash to further minimize his yearly cap hit. That’s what I recall atleast though cap info in the cfl is mysterious at the best of times. The big difference imo is that it is much easier to budget around an expensive qb when you have a great team. Having a good team and then trying to add elite qb money is gonna be soo hard especially to do with out getting worse little on getting better. Faj is going to be the funny one to watch imo. I like Masoli and ott has a lot going on for them. But man I wouldn’t want to rely on him to be qb1.

  34. Again the pieces aren’t available for a bad team to rebuild their ol or get a game changing qb in fa. Unfortunately the suck teams have only a lottery chance of getting to the play offs and that lotto ticket isn’t in cfl fa. I mean with that management no free agent class is going to save them.

  40. Honestly if it’s 600k to your starter you run thin at his back up. That’d mean no more vaj imo. It’s only 50k more a year than zach. You can’t even get a guy on league min with the difference. 600k makes it harder 700k is borderline crippling. the lions however we’re going to have a hard off season no matter what. When ever you build around big free agent pick ups with a cheap starting qb it’s going to be hard to sustain once you turn it around. The lions will have to add probably 250k in hard salary at qb and try to keep an insane amount of cap flexibility this coming year. Doing that and maintaining your core will be a nightmare doing that and improving will be impossible with out hitting the lotto on rookies. It’s going to be an insanely hard off season for the Leo’s. Do you go all in on a blm or over pay a harris do you cut guys mid season if rourke gets cut? Do you run that much under the cap? It guts their ability to compete in free agency this year too. Who wants to sign with a team in that qb situation? I would love to see the stats on how often starter quality or better qbs go to the nfl and then return to their previous team. I feel like the returnees would be in the minority.

Outshot 40-23. Tons of traffic, plenty of point shots, plenty of tipped shots. The rubber was going to find the back of the net, no matter who was in there. No chance on the disallowed goals either.
