  1. [citation needed] We are talking about an Athletic Therapist... not an orthopedic surgeon or anything too right? His job is to do non-invasive tests and then refer him to specialists. It's not going to be malpractice if he goes 'his knee is ******' and the specialist agrees, and the team allows him to trot himself out there in a huge ass knee brace to approximate the support a functioning ACL would give him. It might rise to the level of malpractice he is failed to (or incorrectly gave) give the Lachman test, and then sent him back out there with a couple strips of KT Tape or something... but obviously there was a plan, go on the 6 game, attempt to rehab, go out there in a brace and give it your best shot. Some choice quotes about this https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2025/09/05/schoens-2025-campaign-ends https://www.sportsnet.ca/cfl/article/blue-bombers-wr-dalton-schoen-out-for-season-with-torn-acl/ But I think this argument is starting to miss the forest for the trees... what is absolutely fact is that going into a crucial home-and-home series against your biggest rival, immediately after a game where your backup QB (who also was less than 1 year removed from ACL surgery) had to take significant snaps at receiver, they decided the best thing for the WR corps was trotting out someone they KNEW only had one good knee... it was mostly just dumb luck that he made it all the way to the end of the game or else we would have been seeing more of Streveler WR4 again. https://www.bluebombers.com/alain-couture/ It would be funny if a team had a page for their Head Athletic Therapist and didn't goose him up a bit "Hey this is our Athletic Therapist. He's pretty mid, but he tries his best and we love him anyways"

  6. My dude, you are the only one who is going against what is being reported. Let's see your evidence that it was partially torn. We have one tweet from Tait saying it was torn. We have a sound bite from O'Shea saying yeah he tore it in Calgary. Not one time has the word 'partial' been uttered in the media in regards to Schoen. It follows that we should probably trust the team when they say it was ... torn

  10. Hardly...what we do...and what other teams do is rather insignificant. We used an import da spot on a fullback for 6 snaps a game....didnt see anyone else run out and replicate that move of genius

  16. Which was his problem last year too. He was solid when he got in last year though. Just seems odd to me the idea some people have that anyone we cut MUST go be a superstar somewhere else ornelse they are a scrub... there's a whole wide area in between... plus we already dress and play more than our own fair share of scrubs.

  17. Yeah I think we all agree to some extent...with varying points of view Fact of matter regardless of partial...full...or he grew a third one that was dangling in the way...he was gonna go down for good...or make it worse...and just delayed his comeback date a season essentially ..and well he went down for good the first game they tried it...applaud him for wanting to but the powers that be should have thanked him but said no beueno And he was kinda gimpy...no explosion...couldn't separate...and had alligator arms...also on the pick that went back to the house...he couldn't cut and come back effectively...and yhe db jumped it...he was playing in a limited capacity OSH also has a history of playing guys Cleary not good to go...so id give him zero leeway there

  24. Option 1A and Option 1B cannot both be always "one hit" away from being compromised which then results in sub par performance. I could not understand why this season they would use Strev as a "battering ram" or run short yardage when Wilson is healthy and helllllllluva better at short yardage. Our o-line is not great, but we've had games where the QB has had time to throw and they end up holding onto the ball and/or tossing it into triple coverage. In the old days, Glenn played behind some poop o-lines but his ability to take two steps back and rifle the ball out made a huge difference in negating the rush. With Zach + Strev it feels like they must roll out and need several seconds for a play to generate only for Zach to toss it into triple coverage or Strev dumping it down for a 6 yard pass. We used to carve up teams with quick strikes where a Demski / Lawler / Schoen would catch the ball 12 yards out in stride and then gain the extra 5 - 15 yards. It's part of the combo of why we are limping badly this year. My order of issues would be 1 - OC 2 - QB play 3 - O-line I don't think the receivers are a huge problem and clearly Brady is the only one playing at an all star level.

  33. Prove it. I've had one and rehabbed by way through it. I have not heard a single shred of legitimate evidence stating it was fully torn. You posted up a tweet by Ed Tait saying his ACL was torn. Guess what? A partial tear is also referred to as a torn ACL. When I had my partial tear the doctor told me I was lucky it was not fully torn because that would require immediate surgery before the ends of the ligament shorten. So, the bullcrap you guys are trying to sell is that Alain Couture in his 23rd year with the Bombers and widely regarded as one of the best athletic therapists in his field, either misdiagnosed Schoen or committed medical malpractice by letting him play on a fully torn ACL. Contrary to the BS that you guys are selling Alain has final say on whether a player plays or not. Not MOS, not the player themselves decides that. Alain Couture is entering his 23rd season with the Winnipeg Football Club in 2025, overseeing the health and well-being of every player on the roster. Couture provides constant updates to the head coach on the health status of every player, and ultimately has the final say on whether they can return to the field after being injured.

  34. Sort of. You have high ceiling vs high floor guys, and guys like Dru brown will always take polishing before they produce. But High floor guys do exist and are findable. Shea patterson came into the league in 21 and broke out in 24, dolegala was in one year and broke out the next. So they didn't just walk in and produce, but strev has to be able to produce. The mafia has become the Sultans of Stink. Decent, is a very long way from good. We ran a fast passing game back then with a balanced run attack, which helps the OL. Glenn, also had a fast release and elite ability to get the ball out when pressured (shovels, couple alley oops, changing arm angles, once even threw the ball with his off hand.) and blink was very similar. He was constantly met in the back field then would slip out and gain 5-7 yards. That is the most over rated OL in our history imo. They had every thing tailored to them and weren't dominant.

  36. Ottawa will be interesting. Crum has played well in the last two games. Curious if Zach is back or we see Streveler again. I would like to see Echols for Mitchell.

  37. *There ...and our problems start with the OL and get worse from there. Yes, Strev has been bad... His knee is absolutely not right. But he, as with Zach, don't have enough to work with.

  38. Ahhh that's fair. I just feel like MBB has devolved into a place where people encourage their coaches acting like lunatics because it's anti-Osh.... Let's not allow ourselves to get to that point, regardless of what the Bombers are doing on the field.

  42. Do any of our DL have the ability to bend and get under a tackle besides Person? Willie just backpedals or shifts over and goes for the knockdown most of the time, Vaughters doesn’t get much pressure at all and everyone else pretty much bull rushes with not much success.
