I think it’s pretty simple to decipher … you’ve wanted the guy for a while, bring him in and make him make the decision for you

I'm rooting for Streveler, he has a mental and physical toughness unlike many. IF he is used as s real QB and not a gimmick I honestly do believe he can be a true starting caliber QB in the CFL. I could be wrong but, with his attributes, experiences, and the stage of his life he is in combined with how hard he has rehabbed, I would be very surprised if he gets beat out for number 2.........but if he does then I will be very happy as the guy who beats him would IMO be a real stud QB!

Wilson is easily as solid in qb3 as Strev is at qb2. I don’t care for either. Glad one is gone. One more to go.

Both of those guys are near useless and were barely camp arms. This year is indeed the Strev and Collaros Show, and while the 3rd spot MIGHT be open, Wilson certainly has a leg up if for no other reason than he's been here awhile, has played some, and be pretty much plug n play this year (with the caveat that it's a new OC with a slightly different playbook)

agreed...at worst ....he can be Faj when Faj plays that odd game outside his ability....at best I see him as a Tracy Ham type....that tho has to be allowed to be an actual QB and with a Co-Ordinator that isn't stuck in a box and has no clue how to use players.....Realistically I can see him as a more polished Kerry Joseph....a guy who will lead and have guys go thru a wall for him...as thats what he is gonna do...and give you more wins than losses and a guy who can take a game on and pull out a win from time to time on his sure will alone....Camp should be tres' interesting

If nothing more comes of this, I assume precedent set in this series. Next time Kyrou, Thomas etc head is down looking for the puck and a Jet player leaves his feet and steamrolls him, expect a two minute interference penalty just for consistency? The obvious strategy employed by the Blues from the start of this series is to target our top guys as much as they can get away with and at this point it seems they continue to be given a lot of latitude by the referring crew.

Yup...for a regime that puts at times...too much relevance in vets...no way they going to war in 2025 with ZC..Wilson and rando scrub....not happening...And I wont be shocked to see Strev taking reps and situational work away from ZC

I think Pattersons days are numbered Strev isnt limited.....thats just the assumption based on how we basically mis-used him here.....take away his rookie yr....his 2 yrs as a qb in college and his NFL work....he passed just fine.....and would be even better in a game plan and system tailored to him.....

and was behind Harris before that....was a solid guy in the end....and didnt hurt you when he needed to step in....how that would projected as the bell cow...who knows....but guy was nowhere near being a bust by any stretch....he was a complimentary piece on a team outside the starting 12 on offence like 2/3rds of every other teams roster

Club has confirmed. Not surprising in the least. Patterson will be next. I'm not sure what regime people think is in charge. But it's not one that will let Strev walk after convincing him to come back with, according to streveler, at least some kind of guarantee that will let him be a bit more active in the offense.

You can't gain anything from that observation based on what we gave him to work with...scheme...and not running anything in practice in that BB... Lots of games last yr as well ZC accomplished nothing other than giving ball away...and that was an offence tailored to him...and taking all the reps Drew brown looked like hot garbage a lot in the beginning but was allowed to grow as an actual QB..Strev was never afforded that here...ever Cherry picking one game when have no clue whatsoever of what all the circumstances involved were proves nothing..and was pretty obvious all yr..last 2 really that we couldn't make any adjustments on the fly or in game for the most part it our life depended on it...or how to best use our personelle He was only a SY specialist here in his late part of first tenure and the idiotic role we had him play last yr...if Brown was all that and a sac of plums he'd have been on a 4 yr nfl journey ...was he? That's exactly it... if faj can be a starter there is 0 reason streveler can't. He was a much better prospect coming in as a passer than faj, has a better arm and a better attitude and showed insanely more as a rookie than faj did.

I believe in him as well. But the offense he needs to be successful and the one that fits Collaros style are extremely different Streveler is more RPO, less vertical/drop back style and I think he can be very useful if he stays healthy. But that's the rub. No one is going to bank on him playing 14 or 15 games in a season. I hope we make use of his skills generally even if he's not the starter, and that we don't have him running wedge plays. Build that run/RPO package for short-yardage around his skills.

Not a chance this regime goes into the season without a veteran backup who is a clear leader on the team. Streveler will be qb#2 with the slight chance Wilson beats him out. But that's unlikely given the guy who is currently HC. If i had to bet, I'd say Dolegala and Patterson won't even see the first preseason game.

Thats an assload of substances all in system at same time and several of which just negate each other and only thing they doing is putting undue stress on his liver and body's own testosterone production...100 percent gaurantee he's shut down and on some kind of...or better be on a PCT of some kind to kick start his system again.... With the half-life of the SARMS he obviously was dosing at combine time for the combine to up his numbers...Likey the Anavar too (Oxanandrolone)....Be interesting to see how he comes into camp for 2026

yeah....I saw him in April....he will be ready to compete And the notion he cant pass is almost laughable....watch him run thru a route tree....or make throws from all spots on the field....then get back to me He has a stronger arm than ZC...had a stronger arm than Brown....Wilson currently has best arm in camp .....the last 2 yrs ZC has tossed a lot of ducks out there....above and beyond all those pics...and was real lucky he didnt throw more....and thats not just due to him getting "used" to new receivers or "injury" issues on offence. A QB with legit arm talent....and cognitive ability to grasp whats going on around him can be successful with any group of pro receivers and a solid OC.... This camp and first 3...4 weeks will be interesting in my opinion with ZC to see how he does, and if he is on serious decline...until shown otherwise I'm leaning on the latter

I've been following Chris Streveler on Instagram this entire off season. The man is more than ready. He's completely healed from his injury. His workout routine was insane, The Bombers have known that for months that he'd be ready to go. Two qbs will be ultimately released, probably the two former Rider qbs.

Refs are suspect to say the least. Like I’m pretty sure they bought and paid for. Anti Canadian thing cuz caps were running Habs to no calls then habs get called for BS like the jets. It’s painfully obvious some funny business going on there.

This brings us to 6 plus elgersma. That’s fine for rookie camp if you want to limit Zach/chris throws before full tc. But you gotta cut atleast one out of rookie camp, and then another if elgersma signs. In tc you just don’t have that many snaps first and second unit get lots of reps. You can rotate in 1 guy with each unit reasonably well. Balancing a full 3rd unit on O means a full one on D and leaves it being led not by your co or your primary position cosch (oc then qb coach) but by a 3rd depth coach. And it means you don’t have qb coach / oc eyes on those snaps which heavily devalues even having them. In the nfl, a third unit is run by guest coaches with help from in league scouts. We don’t have that luxury any more. So more than 4 QBs in camp isn’t good unless you have a hurt qb. In rookie camp you have fleets of WRs and dbs running drills over and over. You end up with an insane volume of throws in even 30-45 minutes. An extra arm there is great. You often see coaches winging balls at times when you have 4 or less or need to spell one guy. I expect we have known if one of a group of guys comes available, the lowest man on the roster is gone. Likely a certain former rider qb.

5 reps would be 5 more than they'd ever see in an actual game (ZC excluded) so they might be happy with that!

I don’t think Wilson is guaranteed anything. That competition is for his spot. But I’d imagine unless the UCLA kid comes in and shines, it’s Zach Strev Wilson and Elgersma stashed for a year. They may stash both ucla kid and the Canadian cannon. I’m tired of military nicknames but dudes got an arm. Kid Canada taken. Air Canada taken. Canadian Cannon it is.

Far better backs have have more over larger sample sizes and been cut. Small sample size ypc is meaningless.

It’s a suspension in the regular season for sure. These refs tho have allowed St. Louis to get away with it tho. Schenn only got 2 for interference and 2 for roughing which was extra cuz our guy got 2 minutes also. Refs almost evened it up. Gave them a 2 minute power play really when should have been a 5. And a game. If Schenn got 5 and a game I’d be ok with no suspension but he got 2 minutes for the hit and 2 minutes for roughing. That’s not enough. And it’s not the first time a hit like that was thrown on a jet with no call. St. Louis almost has to legit murder for a penalty call.

Dude can play....and if he is not totally a fraud then it's probably much the same as picking a guy who you knew was gonna exhaust all NFL interest for a yr before showing up...this instance it's a certainty he will be in camp fr 2026 as no NFL team will even give him e second thought now....

I would think Elergesma would not be in the Bombers TC early, probably at late stages if he becomes available. Streveller and Wilson will be safe. I think it would be either Dolegala and Patterson will be taking the axe, if not both.

I just can't wrap my head around a CIS QB actually becoming a good Pro QB. I still haven't bought any Nathan Rourke stock, and he's not even a CIS guy. Until I see otherwise, it really feels like a wasted pick... Or at least a wildly unnecessary reach.
