So great that they took those airhorns away from those asshat fans in Montreal. Funny how the Als fans didn't miss them either. Sounds like a good time was had by all last week vs the Argos. As usual. a small group of fans spoiled it for everyone else. 

Next time Montreal comes ppl should bring kazoos and blow them all at once. They kinda look like Vape pens now so you could get it in. Be hilarious. 30000 kazoos. 4.95 on temu. That’s good enough.

Watching this Hamilton-Sask game .. why didn’t Walters sign Lawler again? Just didn’t want to change course late in FA after hearing the cap was higher?

No. Lawler signed in Hamilton before we knew the SMS went up.  That happened on 02/12.  Every team might have tried harder to retain some players they lost in free agency if they knew more money was available.

That was during the tampering period. Lawler was going to sign with them....but technically WPG could have upped their offer to entice him back. However, it wasnt technically clear then or even now I believe where that extra money is supposed to be going. I dont think there has been an official announcement that the cap has actually increased.

I think the bombers made the decision that maybe lawlers production health and other off field indiscretions weren’t worth 300k. Cuz they could have matched. They got 300k or more on the 1 game IR in Mitchell and Jones. I don’t think the bombers ever got that 300k value out of lawler. That’s crazy for a guy that hit 1000 yards once maybe here. Yup once in his career actually.

Concur. Ahhh mean, given Thursday's performance, the prudent approach would be 'wait and see.'

Lawler now 3-11 record in games he's played for other CFL teams.  

His career record with Nichols, Collaros and Brown....34-8. 

6-17 with any other QB's including Streveler.

 

 

I still wouldn’t give Lawler the money Hamilton did. While he’s performed well, and sterns/mitchell/white haven’t worked out, wheatfall/schoen/demski is a very good core. 
 If any thing, I’d a still tried to spend that money on ol/dl. 
 

Lawlers character faults aren’t toxic or horrible. But they are a lot for price, and not going away. 
 We are already spending too much on the wr core. And we need youth.  
 

Also, schoen vs lawler, I take schoen every day of the week. Even dollar for dollar. 

Yeah Lawler can go out and play a dominant game like few others... but I feel like he has been too iffy the last few years to be worth the huge price tag.

For what its worth i work with a guy who is buddies with a relative of Oliveira, and he was told Brady's going to be out 4-6 weeks with a sprained shoulder.

He thought Peterson was an American till he was told after the game he played at UofA lol

Peterson is a dual citizen, born in the US, grew up in Brooks, moved back to the Iowa as a teen for a couple of years, came back to AB for highschool and Univ.

Day 1 of Bombers practice:

RB Brady Oliveira is here, not dressed.  Same for LS Mike Benson.

S Josh Hagerty was running in warmups...an improvement on his injury situation.

Watching for the ratio change that the Bombers will make with Oliveira's injury.
Could be receiver, maybe more likely it's at left guard.

They'll certainly bring RB Quinton Cooley on. So an American will have to come off.

That might be why white was cut. Zach back means artopoius goes to the PR.

 I like wallace and I want to see him develop. But man sucks to take vanterpool out. Id rather flip kyrie/wil or throw cobb in for sterns.

You're right that they might still change their fortunes. But to date, they haven't done what was expected. Considering the money we gave the 3 guys, as vets who have succeeded in this league, being at best replacement level with rookie wrs is deeply underperforming. 

 Id really like to see mitchell step up, and I like sterns effort also his play in the sweep. But neither guy is starter level at this point. They are just thrust into that position because none of them have stepped up. 

I don't like the oline change since they played so well for game 1. Seriously take Ayers off for Cooley. It seems better to lose a guy who basically plays teams than to mess with the oline. Bailey could take Brady's spot to give you a back up de.

Or Sterns.

Having Sterns out there instead of Corcoran/Cobb isn’t going to make a lick of difference if we aren’t dominating up front.  Dominating, not just trying to survive.  Vanterpool is a significant difference maker.
