Kicking Discussion

I don't even care if that's the right spelling of his name, it's been perfectly obvious since he got here that he's a terrible place kicker. I don't know how in the world a management team that can win back-to-back Grey Cups still keeps trotting him out.

I’m wearing shorts until Liegghio makes a Grey Cup winning kick.

  • Legghio is, if not the best kicker in the league (is he the only one doing all 3 jobs?) then he's second best after Paredes. Kicking 90+% on the season. **** anyone that wants to **** on him.

At least he owned his mistake rather than claiming his prior bad take was the result of being hacked.

No harm no foul, Booch. You are, after all, our MOST poster.

'Def. Facetious' I always thought it was throwing feces at someone.......Okay....I will show myself out

As much as I hated the last second attempt against Montreal, it is clear that the Bombers and Legghio have handled it extremely well.  O'Shea had his back from the start and Legghio noticed that the sun still came up the next morning and there was no manure on his driveway.

Maybe you have to feel that crushing disappointment in yourself to realize that you are not going to be defined by a bad attempt, life goes on and you'll get 'em next time.  Pretty clear from the dodged punt block that he isn't that concerned about what can go wrong on a play anymore (or at least now).

It is fantastic to see him recover his confidence so well after the Montreal game. His emotional maturity will be what decides his career longevity and this was a very positive first step for him in establishing that he can be clutch even after a poor performance.

Having done a bit of it......the mental concentration and confidence...... is as important as technique....Leggs can use the Rider game as a springboard.

I'm out of the loop... we like Legs now and do not want to airlift Lirim from down south anymore?  Boy things change so fast on these boards it's hard to keep up!

It's a message board if you don't like other opinions then you probably should stay off the net?

The lack of self-awareness is priceless.

Both my brother and I were saying "go for the Rouge to tie for now, he won't make the kick."  Proof as to why none of us are qualified to coach a professional ball club hahaha.  That go-ahead LDC kick was amazing.

his punt Houdini move too was huge...before he panicked...this time....just was cool and collected....big progression there too

Not only that.. it was 49 yards, angled perfectly with very little return. It was a thing of beauty.
