The Canadian players have an impact on the overall product.

But I'm curious - what do they complain about?

Mostly that the CFL isn't the top football league, the product and coverage can be bad, sometimes things like rules or reffing.

To these folks, who only want to watch "the best," it doesn't matter if there are 7 or 0 Canadians playing. They aren't going to watch and the league is unlikely to draw them in, in my opinion. The CFL should still try to attract new fans obviously, but you also don't want to lose the ones you have.

Best available in Canada...it should be assumed....not in world...when I say best players...I mean best realistically available to a CFL squad

A couple notable names released during the 1st round of cuts today.  Stamps drop JWL and Toronto let's Pipkin go.

Who is JWL?

The Argos traded Arbuckle to the Elks last season when they brought in Pipkin. That cut makes no sense.

Assume Jordan Williams Lambert

We should give him a shot. He's young so maybe the Bombers luck would change.

Brown looked alright but I'd rather have Pipkin go in if we needed someone to actually play for a stretch.

DL Pae cut by Stamps would be one I wouldn't be surprised we could see in our camp.  Seem to be trying to find another rotational DL.

Maybe Pipkin to B.C...... BC. Backup out for a while.

also Lions and Ticats serm to have problems with their kicking game

It WAS built in Winnipeg…..in 1955.

Tim Horton’s was modelled after Canadinns because that’s what their budget allowed for. when IG Field was being constructed I spoke with one of the project managers for the club when I got to view my potential new seats, and he said both Hamilton and Sask sent reps to see what they could learn from the build. Sask learned that their build would cost triple what the Bombers paid, and Hamilton learned that for the same price as IG Field all they could afford was a design similar to Canadinns but with no end zone seats. They were very jealous of the deal we struck.  Of course, we paid for our sweet deal once construction deficiencies and repairs upped the true cost.

1953 actually.

Bringing in an American receiver who was mediocre and was cut among the first cuts??  Why?

More of a joke on how bad we are at signing older FA CFL receivers.

He'll be lucky to find a 500 sq ft 1 BR apt for that price.

I wonder what that deal is worth to the league.  Is this the start of CFL 2.0 becoming profitable for the league?
