He also legitimately cares about this city, and this franchise.

Glad he was part of the Cup winning team.

Huge, huge loss for us. Lapo is known around the league as an offensive guru. I hope our offense doesn't take too big of a set-back next year. I'm happy for Lapo though, he is a genuinely great guy.

He came though for us. 

He deserves a good send off..

 

I wonder if some of our players (Nichols) or coaching staff goes with him to Ottawa now?!

Given the right tools he should succeed, took a lot of flack here, some deserved some not. Good Luck Lapo

Congrats to Paul and family. Just a matter of time now before Buck Pierce is promoted to #Bombers OC. Likely doesn't happen until Mike O'Shea is extended though.

I'm sure that Lapo and O'Shea had that conversation. I would think they would be up front, courteous and honest with each other.

That will be interesting. I’ve been pumping up pierce for the last couple of seasons. Does O’Shea feel the same way?  Or does he have other ideas?

Hamilton seems to think it is a done deal.

Congratulations Lapo! Underrated around here but a huge contributer to our longterm success. I know he wasn't happy about not being able to interview in Saskatchewan last year but I think we saved you. 

Ottawa is a good fit.

Interesting that as far as I know lapo’s name was never linked to the Ottawa job. 

And now out of the blue he’s got the job. Someone’s good at keeping a secret.

Good for LaPo. He gets a promotion after being on a championship squad. That has to be leaving on good terms.

I could see Matt Nichols as Redblacks QB if he can still throw a football after that shoulder injury.

A real good guy. He deserves another HC shot. Hopefully he can inject some life into that franchise. They do have great fans.

 

I am good with Buck as our OC. I’d be shocked if he left if He was offered the OC job here.
