First time in 29 years where the off season is a not a time to be bemoaning a missed Grey Cup- how sweet it is.

Figured we can park all Blue Bomber going ons for this off-season here in this thread.

okay, not EVERYONE in EVERY town........but........south of Red Deer = Stamps/Riders...... Red Deer+North = Esks/Riders.......... for anyone that's actually a CFL fan.

nah I'm not doubting the fandoms, just the diehard part. Band wagon jumpers as far as the eye can see.

Apparently he has been on our neg list since 2016.

There have been several articles on our neg list about McKay, hope he proves to be worth the wait. Did we not get him in a trade?

McKay could honestly end up being a huge signing

and if he’s not, maybe re-evaluate what the hell we’re doing to assess receiver prospects that we’d wait 4 years for him

Exactly. Normally no pressure in terms of signing a negotiation list player. This time - Bombers better be right about him for the reason you stated. I hope so, but, he didn't exactly light up the AAF or XFL.

Any clips on this guy.......I want a glimpse of what 4 yrs. of waiting looks like

Whoa

Just to curb your enthusiasm, people… You know the Bombers record of recruiting game breaking deep threat receivers. I'm hoping that this was just a Lapo problem. Hopefully, we'll see.

fwiw, I'm a really big fan of Rasheed Bailey and Kenny Lawler. I know we've said it before, but I think both of those guys could really be something.

No receiver could shine in that LaPo offense. Look how Drew Wolitarski was just wasted for 3 seasons. I just hope that Buck Pierce isn't a clone. That he has some ideas to bust these guys out throwing the ball.  And it isn't just business as usual. I want to see some 300 yard passing games & a couple of receivers make it to a thousand yards. Even though he won a GC as OC, I was so happy to see LaPo leave.

Never mind Woogie....poor Petey stuck on the PR. That guy could really be something on pretty much any other team's offense...

Lawlor look good down the stretch last year, he should continue to develop.

He has the size, fights for the ball and has breakaway speed if the clips mean anything. What the heck, if the Bombers have been watching him for 4 years he's gotta be worth a look.

My favorite part of both of their games is the selflessness of providing blocks to receivers or whomever as necessary. Hard to come by gritty receivers that do that. Adams does it away from the ball well as well.

Lawler Setting Sights High For Sophomore Campaign With Bombers

Lawler said that Darvin Adams and Drew Wolitarsky both helped him out immensely when it came to learning the waggle and other nuances of the Canadian game along with the playbook.

...“It was just infectious. There was something in the air and it felt like if you were a Winnipeg Blue Bomber, we knew that we were going to win and we knew what was going to work from that preparation.”

...Not many people are able to achieve that in their football career. I feel very grateful to be able to call myself a Grey Cup champion. Now, I hold myself to a standard and I know what it takes to be there. I’m going to hold it very highly. I’m a father, I’m a husband, I’m a Grey Cup champion.”
