Off topic , Stegall was on the radio earlier this week and outright called out some of his former team mates for going out and not being ready for the big game when they went. I assume he was referencing Roberts ....

Bombers are underdogs heading into this game according to the casinos. Good. I want HAM to be fat and happy before we punch them in the mouth.

As a team leader, Milt should have done what he needed to do to get his team focused.

He can't just distance himself from it. Comments over the years from  guys I considered leaders on previous teams have been very telling/disappointing as to their contribution to the drought.

The leaders on this team...no concerns

Some pretty cool storylines shaping up...

Osh v. Steinhauer - they two 'next great coaches'

Collaros v. Lawrence - you know Simoni is going to try to take him out of the game

Davis v. WillieJ - who's the best DE

Richie Hall against the best REC core in the league...

Banks v. Harris in the big game

I was hoping to pick one up but then I saw their tweet about All the signs being gone. I thought it was crazy that they would be out of 3000 signs so quickly. Hopefully they’re good to go tomorrow and I can add this one to my other lawn sign.

Just picked up a Grey Cup sign at the IG Bomber store. Pretty busy but there was still a pile of signs left. Picked up some merch and Christmas gifts while there. Was a costly trip though as my vehicle got rear ended on the way home. Ah well. I’m just happy to have my sign!

Did you not watch Nichols this year? You realize at one point he was behind only Mike Reilly in deep plays right?

I dont understand this narrative. Do people forget how games went earlier this year? Nichols when he needs to/is able to can and will throw the ball deep.

I'll give Collaros the edge in escaping pressure and getting the ball out, but people acting like Nichols didnt throw it deep is just weird.

The anti Nichols bias in some it way to strong.  They don't see the facts or stats, they just don't like the way he plays.  Agree on the deep ball.  Agree on escapeability.

Another interesting off topic thing is Holly Jefferson (Willie's wife) commenting on Instagram

" you changed your life when you changed your environment..this season has been a complete blessing"

Goes to solidify and confirm the power of a solid lockeroom and core of guys..and individuals who battle for each other..like in Winnipeg...as opposed to where he was...which shows in the amount of individualism and douchbaggery seen out to our west..be shocked if he didnt re-up here

Couldn't disagree more, that's a horribly unfair comment. He can absolutely distance himself from it.

You have no idea what those teams were like (neither do I). Roberts for example, smoked and didn't work out. BTW he was STILL one the best RB of all time. You're telling me a guy like that is going to "listen" to Milt telling him to go to bed early and put in some extra film study?

That stinks - sorry to hear about the car...hopefully a quick and easy fix.
Roads were terrible yesterday.

Disagree completley,  be a leader and go do something.

I dislike Milt the more I hear him talk

What should he have done exactly? He led on the field and in all likelihood led in the locker room. Stegall has been praised by basically every teammate he's ever had. The man is a consummate professional. What else should he have done to get another player in line? Roberts did what he wanted off the field because what he typically did on it was so insanely positive; he led by example on the field consistently.

I'm not sure what any teammate of his could've said or done to rein in his off field behaviour. I think the issue is this: Roberts took for granted his natural talent as he aged, failing to realize late nights and partying take a toll. He has nobody to blame but himself for that attitude.

That being said, it boggles my mind to think what he might have been capable of had he committed to taking better care of himself (not smoking, less partying, etc.).
