There still has been no mention of any actual firm numbers..all is speculative..and the beauty part is we dont have to declare a number..so we gotta be in drivers seat u would think...and Willie must be seeing we retained most of the team..so a repeat or at least deep playoff success has to be appealing to him

Well I'd say its a done deal then...  time to start bashing WJ and pumping Laing's tires

If Hamilton does get Davis, you never know that could influence wj to go there too. He might see a good opportunity to win.

The bomber fan in me wants to agree with this, but I’m not 100% sure about that.

Jeffcoat is pretty darn good..and always shows up in big games...plus is a buddy of Willie..they train together even before Willie landed in wpg

Will hamilton even have the money to sign Willie now? Cant imagine Davis came cheap. I think it's down to Toronto or Winnipeg and WJ knows he'd be the anchor for our dline,just csnt see him signing in Toronto unless they're chucking insane money at him.

Hamilton wants both and made that pitch to WJ. I wouldn't count them out. 

they may...but they would obviosly have to have a limit on how they can go moreso than T.O and WPG...They have a lot of $$ tied up in 5-6 guys

Hypothetically, if Davis is $230,000 and Jefferson is $250,000 and then Laurent must be at $200,000, can they spend $680,000 on 3 DL?

Hamilton has a pretty cheap offense and might be counting on half of Masoli's salary not counting if he starts the season on IR.

Yeah I would see a good opportunity to win in Winnipeg and Hamilton regardless of Davis re-signing in Hamilton. 

 

No not many holes at all... besides MLB, SAM, Nose Tackle, Right Tackle, Canadian Receiver... and umm some kind of depth... everywhere

 

 

 

See on the twitter feed that SJ Green is in fact signing in the XFL...WTF? Did not see that coming. Seems like an odd choice. To from a legend in one league to a nobody in another. I guess he must be getting a raise?

not to mention that o-line looks horrible, and thats witha couple guys still unsigned...and the backup depth there is a bunch of nothings

36 yr old end coming off surgery...no canadian reciever depth..or proven starters to be seen...yup...no holes there

i don't think a 50k salary is a raise...more like a 100k drop

I thought the salaries were low. This makes the move even more confusing.

It is in USD though.

So he may just consider it a chance to make some quick money and then retire all together.

Deal goes to May 30th so could realistically sign a CFL contract after that and double dip.
