Im not saying Ottawa can compete in the West but against Toronto and Montreal I'd take them in a heart beat.

The #Bombers haven't been having much luck with receivers. There was some interest in DeVier Posey, but the money didn't align. Sources out East tell me Posey got the $200,000 he was looking for from Montreal, which was clearly too steep for the other teams making a bid.

That's why the play the games. I would say that it's going to be interesting but I'm not sure I can say that about the East.

Well somehow the Bombers were still one of the highest scoring teams in the league with our abysmal offence... and no receivers...

I really could see Lapo/Osh going three Nationals at REC... and I don't think I'd be too upset

Both Demski and Woli should be 800+ yards this year - maybe one surprises...

Argh Stephens to Stamps... I really wanted him in B&G

Posey got $200k from Als... wow.

Has Ottawa found much anyway? They got a pile of their receivers through free agency...

When you think about it.. Simonise could be our deep threat guy.. Woli and Demski with Petermann backing up isnt that bad. Who is the 2nd import receiver? Adams and ??

200k for Posey is absolutely riddicious. Hard to imagine Chris Matthews getting less, but I’d rather have him anyways, he proved in Calgary he could still be a dangerous receiver.

I guess we're assuming Charles Nelson is going to be a strictly ST guy?

With his familiarity with Bo Levi Mitchell & the Calgary offense I would think he'd sign with the Stamps over us even though he has said he loved the Bomber organization.

I have this dream where we give a receiving prospect like a full season to emerge instead of 3 games before cutting him...

...cutting him so Lankford can get back in the lineup

Just checking in.  Losing Chung and JSK is a punch to both nuts.

Those numbers are pretty insane but when you’ve proven time and time again that you can’t find ANY half decent import receiver yourself, you have to pay a premium.

Guess the teams signing them are forced to pay the premium.

The ravaging of the Riders with the bailing of Chris Jones after taking a massive dump on the organization and the signing of nearly every good player by other clubs almost makes me feel sorry for the good fans out there. Almost. They are going to be wandering in the wilderness for a loong, loong time.

Never will I feel sorry for Rider fans. They sure as hell would never feel sorry for us. Too much water under the bridge to have any sympathy for that fanbase. A perfect Rider season for me is 0-18.

The next half-decent receiver Walters finds will be the first. Since we’re resigned to playing Nichols as long as he’s healthy, I’d rather he had as much support through great receivers as possible.

200K would be my limit on a receiver...so Kudos for kyle for not caving in..

I too think Washington can be a dark horse...has the tools...got his feet wet and made some nice grabs last year....maybe he will be developed...he is still young enough

I would be shocked if Washington ever amounts to anything. Happy to be proven wrong, but in the games he got into he looked like another L’Damian Washington to me.

You're just a big ol ball of disappointment, aren't you?  You're not one of these guys by chance, are you:

Is Mathews still as good as he was? I could be wrong but he really didn't stand out a whole 5on after he came back from the nfl. I'd still take Roosevelt first and then Mathews.

Week 20 in a loss against the Bombers Matthews went 5/113 yds., in the W.F. he went 3/39 yds. I'd take him at $160k.

He probably wouldn't take that so why say it? That's like saying Sidney Crosby is seriously on the Jets radar but only if he signs for a million. Wouldn't happen.

Still young. Was it Jorden or Daniels of the Stamps who sat on their practice squad for a year or two. Didn't really do anything and then boom. Had a break out year. Some guys just need time to get used to the game up here and mature a bit. Hopefully Washington is one of them.
