Bomber News: 2019 Off Season

For minor off-season Bomber news.  Any significant stories or news that are likely to generate significant discussion may have their own thread created.

Going to try going with the two threads again for the off season.    One for Bomber news, one for CFL news.   These threads should be used for general / minor day to day news, tweets, etc.  A catch all for tidbits that people want to share to keep everyone up to date on the goings and comings of the league.

Any news, tweets, and signings that is likely to generate significant discussion may have their own threads created.

I knew this was Walters fault.

It's Walters fault when MOS doesn't have the best players.

It's PLAPS fault when the O doesn't work.

It's Halls fault when the D doesn't work.

It's the players fault when they aren't prepared.

It's the kickers fault for talking MOS into going for the stupid long FG's.

MOS is Teflon.

Its all the fault of Lord Lyle and if you guys don't agree, you're all vermin.

Community owned team - it's all our fault

Speak for yourself.

3 years ago to the day we signed Weston Dressler. Our team went from hopeless to one of the leagues biggest contenders. The 2016 offseason was arguably the Bombers best off season of all time!

O'shea has taken his fair share of criticisms over the years but it's undeniable that he's been instrumental in turning around the state and reputation of this franchise.

We were the absolute laughingstock of the league and slowly but surely Walters and O'shea have turned the Bombers into one of the premiere destinations in the league and year in-year out contenders.

I have no doubt that O'shea will win a grey cup as a head coach at some point. What I'm glad to see is that he didn't "learn" to do the job here and move on to Toronto to lead them.

I'm 100% on board with O'shea's extension.

I hope he wants to play another year. Terribly underrated player

No coach should have a job for life unless he's Vince Lombardi or Bud Grant.

There’s only one way to find out - maybe O’Shea will peak as Bud Lite.

He needs conditioning and to stay healthy.

If Lapo can call plays as if we are down by 3 TD's even when we are winning, they will run all the misdirection which is totally suited towards him, Adams and the rest of our receivers which make us a huge threat. If he plays vanilla offense then having Dressler on the field is just a waste of money.

Need to use the tools effectively.

I love Dressler but he can't play 18 games anymore. I would love to have him back at a discounted rate.

We need 2 big time receivers if we want to win the cup this year.

Stamps showed you can win with your backup receivers - so long as your QB consistently steps up and doesn't fold.

Dressler ......  coaching?  Teaching receivers how to get open.

I would have cut Dressler before Randle...

The back up receivers were better then our starters...

I thought Dressler is a FA so why would we cut him?

yeah but given that this regime hasn't found **** for receivers but find DBs all the time the move makes sense.

This and the fact that they may have already moved on from Dressler.
