Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

BC's roster will be about 6-7 all-stars surrounded by rookies... if the rookies perform reasonably well, it will work... but if not, they will be in trouble...

Im expecting them to go with rookies at a lot of positions to make up for all of this.  Hopefully the AAF left some players over for BC to fill out the rest of their roster.

If thats what they do they are going to struggle in the first half of the season.

Jennings in Ottawa...  I guess a small upgrade over Davis.     Rider fans will be pumping the ZC bandwagon soon enough...

Jennings and Davis in Ottawa is no better than Collaros/Bridge for the Riders, and might even be worse...

I'll take Jennings and Davis over Collaros and Bridge.

Jennings has potential to improve, I could see taking a flyer at him.
Collaros/Bridge/Davis are what they are. QB depth with any of those 3 playing an extended time and you're in trouble

I'm honestly not convinced Davis can't start in the CFL. He has shown a lot of flashes. Just needs the right fit. is it Ottawa? Likely not.

In the last 5 years Collaros has started 58 games, or 11.6 games/year average. He's pretty much Buck Pierce 2.0 at this point.

Well, after all the migration of players from East to West in this Free Agent thingy, and the ensuing fallout surely to come, is it time to have only one division in the CFL?  

Hamilton must just be in a total happy emoji zone after today.

Barring disaster, they have a clear path to an Eastern first place finish.

I don't hate Jennings as a qb. I think with a good oc he could be a decent player. I'd take him over Collaros. It's too bad what happened to him. He had star written all over him before the injuries got him.

Jennings is a Hail Mary QB... he was never going to become a star.
