It would still be nice if Walters could recruit a half decent receiver though.

American talent, yeah they had a lot of that. Canadians and quarterbacks though not so much. Walters wishes he could bring in Americans like Joe Mack did. With very few exceptions, the talent on that team was terrible. I invite you to google that roster to refresh your memory.

It's weird that receivers have been so hard for us to find, when they're supposed to be the easiest to find, yet we can't seem to miss on the dbs we bring in. rebusrankin

Captain Blue
I feel like football people love Kavis Reed despite not having much success. This arranged marriage seems doomed to fail, but both have been around long enough that maybe they figure it out.
Dr. Blue
I thought that I read somewhere that Reed was recommended for the GM position by Chapdelaine. I'm glad that's not us!

But, the Bomber staff recognized Hardrick's potential and didn't dismiss him as another failed talent. They got him to lose 20 pounds so that he'd be more mobile and look what happened. To me that's a strike against the Lions and Riders if anything.

GCn20
I would hire Mack and Moll in a heartbeat to recruit for us. Mack and Moll knew how to recruit at a few positions that's for sure.

I get that people want to pretend that Joe Mack was the worst person in the world and he did make mistakes, but when it came to recruiting players from the states he was damned good, but he relied on that entirely and didn't make good coaching choices so the whole thing didn't work. WinnipegGordo
Yeah, there was the myth that Mack lived in the States and therefore was never around the team. Fact was that during the season he spent most of his time in Winnipeg.
Mike
I'd bring back Mack as a scout under the condition that he spend no time in Winnipeg. Wanna-B-Fanboy, Tracker and Floyd
