Yup, just pathetic that nobody had the balls to overturn that on the review.

They've cost us more than this1 game so far this year.

You want battle level, look no further than Damon Allen, his Grey Cups were no fluke. You can take all the Calvillo's you want, but in the end if we're talking CFL with this wide open field and all the running room in the world for a QB, I'd prefer Damon Allen in his prime any day of the week. But sad truth is, almost nobody can do what he did as well as he did it throughout his career, just too bad more people don't have the ability to fully appreciate what he accomplished.

I've already explained, despite his drops, he is currently the most reliable receiver in the league. It's not even really a debate, it's just the cold hard facts, if you want an opportunity to get a big play he is your man, if you want to waste a play targetting players that can't even work their way open and let your QB get sacked or have to throw the ball away or throw it 2 yards on 2nd 10 and proceed to watch the receiver not even get close to the first down, then be my guest. With the game on the line, I'd rather take the small risk that he fumbles or drops the ball then the huge risk that we don't even get the play off at all, period. You also state it like Bowman might get 1 big play a game if he's lucky and if he drops the ball then he pisses away that one big play. Truth is he's practically guaranteed multiple big plays each game whether he drops the ball or not, he's not pissing away the one big play his team can get a game, he's getting more big plays than any of his teammates, almost every single game. It's not even just big plays, he's helping his team throughout the entire game, consistently getting first downs and receptions throughout the entire game. This season alone, he's on pace for more receptions then Ben Cahoon ever got in a season, that's saying something, and what it's saying is definitely not negative. The other thing he does, unlike Ben Cahoon is he takes5-6 yard catches and consistently turns them into 15-20 yard gains by dragging would be tacklers like they are little fleas. No other receiver in the league can currently do what he does.

    That is the big picture.

Stop posting links to his articles, I'm sorry I even clicked it and read it. Previous article calling the Bomber brass underhanded and shady and now this article calling the team lucky and not good. Just seems like his main goal is to prevent people from buying tickets, and evidently he plans on doing it with as little amount of effort as possible because his articles must not take very much effort finish off.

He's only leading the league in rushing because other teams can't decide who they want as their running back or are suffering injuries.

    1. Saskatchewan:
Started off with Allen but switched just because of a couple of fumbles, then moved to Ford, then Messam. Add their stats up and you're at 692 rush yards in 125 attempts for 5.5 yard average.

    2. B.C.:
Enjoying the successful tandem of Harris and Logan
They combine for 786 yards in 147 carries for a 5.3 yard average.

    3. Edmonton
Same thing for Edmonton with their running John White back showing off 334 yards in 51 carries for a 6.5 yard average. Oh and if you add in Kendial Lawrence then they combine for
558 yards in 79 carries and a 7.07 yard average.

    4. Calgary
Suffered an injury to their star running back Cornish. No doubt in my mind he'd be leading the league right now if not injured.

Then there is TO, they are just a pass first type of offense, however their rush game is still much better than ours. With their running back currently showing off 332 yards in 57 carries for a 5.8 yard average.

The rest of the teams, their offense has been so shitty and inconsistent that it makes sense that their rushing totals would be behind ours.

With all this said, give your head a shake if you think Grigsby leading the league in rushing actually proves he's doing a good job. I would have cut or traded him yesterday already. If running backs are a dime a dozen, god knows why we're so content on sticking with a < 5 yard per avg running back. Completely unacceptable.

Biggest point of this post is, our running back is not deserving of being #1 and our running game absolutely freaking stinks compared to the top 3 teams on my list above and we should be making a bigger deal of Grigsby remaining the #1 back then we are.

Not looking at the whole picture.

In 2009 we also had: 17 lost fumbles, 28 passes intercepted, 157 punts, so not including turnover on downs or MFGs we gave the ball back 202 times.
In 2010 we had: 16 lost fumbles, only 16 passes intercepted, 140 punts, which is only a total of 172.

Yet in 2010 our defense gave up 395 first downs vs 388 first downs in 2009. In 2009 they gave up an average gain per pass of only 7.1 yards, vs 2010 an average gain per pass of 7.5 yards, and they also had a lower percentage of passes completed against them. Finally in 2009 they only gave up an average of 5.2 yards per rush, where as in 2010 they gave up an average yards per rush of 5.8.

In short, the ONLY reason any of the stats are worse, like yardage or points against, is because they spent far more time on the field, despite having far more interceptions. Which is pretty amazing considering half the games got so out of hand they just got mad at the offense and threw in the towel.

Shame on people pretending the cheering was solely for BUck, 95% of it was ingnorant sarcastic and senseless cheering. Had we been winning there would of been no "we want Buck chant" and no standing ovation when Buck finally came into the game.
