  1. lol @Noeller laughs because he thinks that reality mirrors his feel good storybook dreams O’Shea is finished. This is what you get when nobody is fighting for anything. Performance doesn’t matter, trot the same bums out every week. The only thing that matters is loyalty, so if you show up and go through the motions your job is safe .. why invest anything beyond that? Hogan, Younger … proof that all you need to do is put the time in and you will prosper. Bridges, Case, Bonds … more of the same. the reality is we need a major adjustment and if O’Shea can’t be the one to make it then we need to find someone who can. This is ******* pathetic and he’s the main reason why it’s gotten to this point.

If Packers like him but Carney & Trump don't get a trade deal this week, then Packers might have to pay an extra 35% tariff on Elgersma's contract (since he is imported from Canada) of $294,350 So that could be a factor as to whether they keep him around.

  7. 2 of the biggest free agency signings were Mitchell and Jones... neither one can get a sniff on the roster and to me that speaks to a huge disconnect in how the team is being run.

My guess is that ZC may be out for awhile. Just a hunch but he may be dealing with a recurring injury from August 2023, after which his efficiency as a QB began to decline. Right now, six games or 1/3 into 2025 season, ZC has the worst QB efficiency rating among all the 9 regular starting QBs. Collaros also has the highest INT percentage with 8 INTs vs 7 TDs. Colloros's QB efficiency rating isn't just the worst among starters, at 89.1 it is significantly worse than the others. You could argue Zach has the weakest receiver unit in the league which would contribute to this inefficiency. But looking back at 2024 with a better crop of receivers, Collaros threw 19 INT vs 21 TDs - this includes 4 INTS in the GREY CUP and 4 TDs in West Final - which gave Zach the worst INT percentage last year among QBs who started 10 games or more. That is a total of 28 INT versus 28 TDs in the past 25 games in which Collaros has appeared. Yes you can lay some of that on the receivers. But still. This is not to take away from Zach's substantial contribution since he arrived here in 2019 - respect! But the decline in Collaros's performance since around August 11 2023 neck injury vs Elks (when Dru Brown came off the bench to win the game) is clear as day.

  10. I don’t have a good feeling about this game (or season right now tbh) but I’d like to be horribly wrong.

  11. The decision is one that teams who contend for a long time have to make. Collaros has been on borrowed time since 2018. Dru Brown was insanely productive and with enough reps to know it wasn't a mirage. Like double the reps Mike Reilly had before Edmonton handed him the keys and contended for the next half decade. Wally Buono made similar decisions about 4 times in his career. Basically could have handed Collaros back to Hamilton or maybe even Toronto to play out his career. Not the worst thing, it's where they live (his family). Tough decision, but those have to be made. No one would have been worse off. Collaros playing pretty poorly in terms of putting up points in playoff games since the 2019 playoffs would have helped my decision making.

  14. Honestly after 2023 we should have made some hard decisions and focused on this year and hosting the Grey Cup. I get it would be hard moving on from some guys, but we let a young stud QB go, and kept guys like Bighill, etc around longer. It should have been the time to cut the cord then.

  17. If Younger/O'Shea endorse Bridges' decision making on that touchdown it speaks to their system on D having no ability to manage a QB outside the pocket. Most immediate threat if you're a corner with nothing but green turf behind you is a receiver, not the QB 30+ yards away who might run. Bridges' quote from yesterday sounds like a guy who has no ******* idea what his assignment is after the first 3 seconds of the play. Field corner unless they are in a 2 high cut look, your only true responsibility is to not let the widest guy behind you in basically every single defensive coverage in this country.

  22. It's pretty obvious how deployment of our defensive players has changed in the past two years. The change was Younger taking over. It's more DB's, fewer DL. He doesn't use the Canadian/Global/DI depth guys nearly as much. Most plays we have 7 DB's on the field. I'm counting Kramdi and Griffin as DB's. Griffin is basically a starter to me, even if he's not listed first at any position on depth chart. He plays more than Wilson or Adams. Jefferson is an every down player under Younger. Never was under Hall. O'Shea has been the head coach the whole time. The only thing I think O'Shea has done this year is given Miller more choice on guys he wants on for cover teams. In past years they probably would have put a guy like Cobb on over one of the LB/DB types to give the offense more depth. IMO the bigger issue is likely O'Shea not pulling a bit of autonomy from the coordinators when things are going south than the opposite.

  23. That's kind of where the league is though. Terrible QB play and development. Brown vs Collaros gave two distinct paths, but look at Ottawa. Brown is turning out to be their Drew Willy. He's been healthy less than Collaros. Matt Shiltz has started games for 4 different CFL teams since the 2020 shutdown. Hamilton and Sask are resurgent on guys who are pushing 40 who haven't been healthy or consistent since before 2020. Montreal rolled with the guy who can't play a quarter without aggravating his hamstring. Great player, but is he going to be the guy who can only play 10-12 games a season like Dickenson? Edmonton pushed all-in on Ford who is nowhere near ready, if he ever could be with his arm. BC is paying Rourke an amount he could probably never out play. Calgary is on the up slope of the VAJ rollercoaster. The only way to make sure you have a basic floor level of QB play in this league is to sign MBT.

  24. This is an online forum, for a cfl team, that dates back some 20 years, filled with a bunch of middle aged and older posters. I don’t think any one is confusing posters here with the average fan, on fb or rum hut bro. Never satisfied? You don’t have to go back far to find out that’s not true. Not sure what you’re on about, what kind of business has some one giving 1 star restaurant reviews? Take a look at the training camp media reporting and none bomber media in this city. It’s been close minded positivity and fluff pieces for years, and it’s on the verge of death. Puffed up unrealistic “review” content like that or 3dn/tsn pandering to markets erodes credibility. But if that’s what you want, you can find it. No one is expecting firings to happen in some short period of time. We all know the reality of the situation with the mafia. Changes, and accountability mid season are what people are talking about and hoping for. How do you think the 31k feel when they show up expecting the dynasty bombers to show up, and instead sit through us getting blown out? How long until those more casual fans turn on the team and stop showing up? you don’t want to get $h!7 on, but you get what you give bud. Do you legitimately think it’s better/less annoying to complain about people complaining while not actually contributing to discussion? Are you really fatigued by people saying these things, or is it that it keeps being true? Realistic expectations, when you’re talking about a hc/gm thatve been in the same job for 10+ years, and lost back to back championship games, the reality is we are near the of this mafia run. Some parts of it will continue, but some will not. The least probably out come is we go into next year with the same power structure top to bottom. Especially with the heavy reality of the front office cap, and the amount of younger guys we’ve lost to the league. Look at how much of the architects of 19/21 are already gone. You seem to think that the downward turn and reduced levels of on field success is some how sustainable. A second year with a bad start and losing streak, 3 missed championship opportunities, these things are compiling and leading us to change. It’s only a matter of how extensive and when. Personally, I think Wade will retire with in a couple years. And I think one of Walters/mos will be gone in the off season, likely Walters.

  31. “People aren’t going to like to hear this, but I’m very relaxed about the situation, because you see what’s happening, and the answers are easy,” O’Shea said. “There’s a bunch of guys in that room that have seen it go down a pile of different ways, so I believe we have a bunch of guys that just understand, ‘Let’s make some corrections, let’s go to work and let’s be better,’ So that’s one of the reasons why it’s easy to just stay even keeled.” If the answers were that easy, why weren't they made after the first Calgary game?

  34. Beyond anything else...the Bombers have like 2/5 of a CFL receiving corps. Schoen probably won't be close to 100% this season. They have no chance to win anything just based on that position group in this league.

  43. Bullshit. Fox and garbutt as examples played well when they weren't on the ir. Problem is that they insisted on playing thrnold guys on dl and never truly used the youth. Even this year. Person gets a handful of reps, we keep Kornelson on the roster to take a handful of reps... we waste spots on special teams only guys as opposed to guys who can take reps on defense or offense as well as teams. The roster usage blows chunks.

  44. Key for me...come prepared and well coached today for a change....play and coach with urgency and wanting to lay a licking... We lose and look like we have for most part this season...that's coaching and we need to change our ways Hopefully we use whats our bread and butter...varied run plays...we don't have the receiving group to attack down field..take whats there and own the clock...short leash ZC too if he is forcing stuff and trying to chuck deep all game...we do and we toast Unleash the defense...non this passive crap and hope the QB cant find holes in the secondary...cause with 3..4 guys we employ with regular reps...there is a ton of them....attack the Buckle for facks sake!!

  49. Just think back to 2019 and 2021... they used 8 guys regularly in rotation on the DL who could contribute and it worked spectacularly. So why now do we think using basically 5 guys, 3 of which are well over 30 is going to be the answer?
