  5. I hope we are done with the import kick returner who can’t catch punts or play receiver spot on the roster. That’s McDuffie and a worse version in Lankford.

  11. From 3Downnation: Dwayne Johnson opens up about depression, says release from CFL was ‘worst time’ By Elahe Izadi Posted on April 2, 2018 by 3Down Staff // 45 Comments Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is speaking publicly about his and his family’s struggles with depression. In an interview with the U.K.’s Express, Johnson spoke about his mother’s attempted suicide, which took place when he was 15. “Struggle and pain is real. I was devastated and depressed,” he told the outlet. “I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.” After the interview published, Johnson tweeted that he received “tons of responses. Thank you.” “We all go thru the sludge/(expletive) and depression never discriminates,” he continued. “Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone.” Months after her family had been evicted from their apartment, Johnson’s mother attempted suicide. She walked out of her car on a major interstate in Nashville and into oncoming traffic, with giant trucks and cars swerving out of the way. Johnson has previously revealed details about his mother’s suicide attempt. In a February Instagram post about filming a scene involving suicide in his HBO series Ballers, Johnson wrote that the moment had him reflect on “how many of us have been affected by suicide of our friends, family. Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another.” “I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road,” Johnson wrote about his mother’s incident. “What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is that to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.” He added: “We got lucky that day when I was 15 and that ain’t always the case.” Years before he became one of the world’s wealthiest actors, Johnson pursued a football career but was beset by several injuries and was let go from the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League within a year of being signed. Soon after, his girlfriend broke up with him. “That was my absolute worst time,” he told Express. The candid comments about depression from such a successful actor, known for both his bubbly personality and tough-guy persona, brought on a wave of responses, including from advocacy organizations promoting the help they offer. The Lifeline tweeted “If you feel like you have no reason to live, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) for help and support.” On Twitter, someone wrote: “I know it will help a lot of people to see someone so confident that also had issues with it. Myself included.” Johnson replied: “Hey man I get it . . . Stay strong and make sure you’re talking to good people about it . . . No shame in getting help and wanting to be better.” Johnson told Express that he and his mother “both healed but we’ve always got to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain. We have to help them through it and remind them they are not alone.” – Washington Post

  18. I believe that was the issue with the former coach and why they put Pascal in there. They wanted Moose to play the same systems and that wasnt happening before. We were talking about this a bit in the office today about the difference in the Moose from before the Jets to now. Before, they hated when the Canucks made call ups because True North wanted the Moose to win every year. Now, they still want to win but its all about making the Jets a success first.

  24. McDuffie sucks. He has one exceptional skill which is running fast in a straight line. Shaw was pretty good for the Argos, Stangby was average as a receiver last year, elusive but meh hands.

At this point it looks like Trump is just throwing **** against a wall to see what sticks, he's getting bad advice from his Fox Cronies because he doesn't know nothing about anything and was not smart enough to get people in his inner circle that did, now he is just flaying away taking shots at anybody and everybody.

  32. We had more trouble with the Minne back-up this year, IIRC. Plus, they have Bruce Boudreau as coach, king of the regular season and playoff choke artist.

  34. We are Better at the QB position (Nichols and Durant and any rookie are Better than what we had last year) Status quo at RB (Possibly better as we may see looks with Harris/Demski/ Lafrance/Flanders all in motion giving defenses fits) Better at receiver ( with or without having to start 2 Canadians) though depth is suspect at this time O-line we are weaker with loss of Bond ( Still a top 3 team in terms of O-line tho...depth could be issue if we get nailed with injuries) D-line we are better even with loss of Westerman. (Being able to go all import is going to help and Corney and Ekakite are going to be better as they grow too...no concerns there) DB's are better as more depth and more experience. Heath loss if you ask me is a no big deal... Linebacking...weak last year...and still concerns this year until we see who..what..and where is on field and if scheme was issue last year or personnel. ST's...status quo...and most likely better this year as Medlock had off year and punt return was non existent for better part of the yr...so any production at all from there will make us upgraded..and our cover teams were lights out for most part and we added Fenner who is a demon This team should be a 12-6 team again and if the defense steps up at all and corrects the issues that plagued it you can maybe factor in an extra win there..possibly 2...especially if the offense keeps evolving...can't see it taking a step backward this year..so a 13-14 win season if you ask me isn't far fetched...

    2018 CFL Draft

To be fair, his mock draft makes a lot more sense now than the actual draft... and he's right about Schram over Gray... Augustine is his only real flop... Mulumba and Boateng should have been early picks - every GM over-thought those picks

  40. It has nothing to do with nostalgia. It's just a poorly written and directed movie. Cinematography is fantastic and the acting is good. That's where it ends.
