Zach wouldn't have survived that game. He is drastically slower getting the ball out and forces shots much more. Even though he's been much better then the previous couple of years this year, that type of game is his kryptonite. The problem is we are a team full of old players, and a bad team. If we can trade off old bad players for value, we should. Maybe prime doug flutie makes a difference. Short of that, it's a question of who you are serving up for dinner to the D.

Watching this team slowly die over the last few seasons has been depressing. Every symptom that was visible early was allowed to fester. So frustrating.

Yeah for as bad as they played, the Bombers had 3 opportunities starting possessions on the Stamps side of the field and did not get a TD out of it. Handed Calgary 2 TD's (the McAllister reception and Missed FG return) after also spotting them a TD on a first drive we didn't impede at all. Hope Calgary feels really good about this one because they are flawed as hell too. Our O just doesn't attack. Streveler is very politely picking Condell apart on OB lol.

In free agency, we need to change our focus from old players who might have a good season to two left to young up-and-comers. Example: Ayden Eberhardt, not Tim White. We need to change training camp from "it's about what you've done in the past" to fighting for your job every day, every play, every rep. No vet days. No pre-season games off, at least a quarter for every vet. Highly competitive practice = highly competitive play. Relaxed practices = relaxed play. We need to "Buono" the old guys a year or two early rather than wait until they are obviously done. Example: Stanley Bryant MOS needs to change and get with the times. Use every rule to its best advantage. Make sure players are ready before putting them on the roster. Start looking for problems before they become glaringly obvious to the fans. Be ready to change plans ASAP when they aren't working. Less LB's on the AR. Bigger receivers. Change the offense to match Dru's abilities at least until Collaros is back. More Brady O. Less deep balls. We need to find a way to stop making so many errors on defence. Too many wide open receivers deep = too many explosion plays = too many points against.

The D didn't make more mistakes than Calgary's D. But the level of performance and compete from the secondary in particular is completely unacceptable. The Nichols bust on the TD pass to McAllister in 2 high coverage is one of the worst football plays I've seen in my entire life at any level. Like does he seriously think when he's the high man in that coverage looking down at the routes where we have 3-4 other guys sitting on them that there maybe isn't a reason why he should look again to turn his hips and make sure there actually isn't a deep route coming at him? It wasn't even really disguised. McAllister came out of the backfield and just ran right up the seam. 2 high....you're high, you've got to be on top of the deepest route on your half of the field. He's not reading the QB/ball, he's not playing his zone, he's reading an area where we have 4 other guys covering 2 Calgary players. Remarkably poor play by a veteran player. My opinion of this D almost halfway through this season is that we don't have the players to execute the scheme in the secondary. So a good coach would drastically simplify to put a competitive secondary on the field. I think it's beyond making one personnel change. Either way Moxey needs to go. Guy just doesn't show any willingness play in and play out to compete.

I know that football is cyclical, I get that. Nevertheless watching the team this year is a huge burn because they built a top-tier football club and let it go to mediocrity (at best) Scouting, front office personnel, coaching. It’s all been frittered away.

I think Brown ****** around in that Ottawa game and got away with it... Today he found out. You can't make decisions like that against a team like Calgary.

Brady could have had 200+ yards rushing if they used him properly.

This team is just not that good. Their record flatters them. They are as bad as Ottawa.

One helluva disappointment last night ....particularly the pics Dru chucked up and the bloody play calling...IF that sort of crap continues we're going to be on the outside looking in come playoff time...Abysmal secondary work ....tackling, positioning and overall poor play calling...I don't know how the hell a receiver can be 20 yds off the db coverage and laughing all the way to the end zone ...Also did some of these guys forget how to tackle....time for them to go back to tackling 101 for a refresher course...pathetic....Even the special teams guys were off their game, coverage which is a decent part of our game was sloppy ..We were out of this game from the start and a good indication was the opening march downfield with little to no opposition....Coaching has to be addressed ....Hopefully something can be improved before the BC game or we could drop the next home game

I hate watching Bryant like this. He’s probably the best in CFL history but he’s in the late stage Michael Jordan/Muhammad Ali career path where they clearly hung on too long. O’Shea and Walters failed Bryant and the team by bringing him back.

So he is supposed to just throw the ball away all night? Because when you don't get time in the pocket and your receivers aren't running routes to challenge the secondary where the **** is he supposed to go with the ball? In that situation you need to be able to run the ball and back then off but guess what! Tommy Condell thinks our bruising running back is a wide receiver

I know it wasn't the teams plan, but at this point you have to find a way to get Singer on the roster. Stop sending out Brady out wide and giving the defence an extra defender to clog the field. Have Brady available as an outlet to keep drives moving when the play collapses. I can't fathom what Condell is doing with his play-calling.

Condell's scheme is basically all within 15-20 yards of the line of scrimmage so the D is just bunching up their coverage in there. And like 80% of our dropbacks not run threat in there at all so all the guys with gap responsibility other than the rushers can just lock on their coverage responsibility. I mean even if you jet one receiver through the backfield to give the visual and be a checkdown at least you're drawing down 1-2 defenders to think about it. No challenge on the deep zones to create space in that area either. Just horrific to watch as a fan of a team. Only way that can work is if you're amazing at quick timing routes. We don't even have the receivers to run that. We have a bunch of mini speed receivers, no possession guys, no vertical threats in coverage.

We're missing the Derick Armstrong, Darvin Adams type boundary WR who can make plays at all 3 levels and open up space for the 5'10 180 pound guys. You can't run a CFL offense without that guy. Hell in the start of this regime we had a shitty version in Aaron Kelly. Still better than what we're running out there now.

Why are we kicking 58 yard FG's with 3 LB's, 6 linemen, 2 kickers and a long snapper out there? Should be like 3 lineman and all those LB's we have, even a couple DB's on the edge on the deep kicks.
