When you're down 27-9 at the half why would threy run the ball?

BC is getting beat up early this season. Receiving core has been wiped out and now they are forced to use a DL on offense after a couple o-linemen go down on the same drive.

I think the new rules work better for offensive football overall, also how many holding calls have you seen this year. The QB's have a lot more time.

What do you mean no receivers, I'm heading out there for next week. I'm not fast or uber athletic but I have heart.

I get it it's raining but did the fans in Edmonton not know there was a game today, it's pitiful what's happened in that city in terms of the CFL.

Really do think he's one of the best scouts in the league though. Not a coincidence win cups with him, then our American talent has fallen off a cliff

Watching that game, everytime Rountree touched the ball he got 5 yards minimum. The Lions were down so quickly they couldn't utilize a run game. QB talent this season is reminding me of the 90's. If this keeps up we could have multiple qbs throwing for 6000 or more yards this season. Mike Benevides will be gone as OC by Labour Day. Ryan Phillips will be calling the defensive signals in his place. As a GM, I think Ryan Ringmaiden is overrated.

I believe its you that is mis-remembering. They averaged over 29k that season. Not that I think swaggerville was anywhere near the 2021 juggernaut. But swagerville sold tickets in 2011. I mean....Jefferson has lived here year round for more than half a decade...no passport, but...come on.

Lawler just makes catches

In a game where you know your O is gonna have issues because they're short staffed... Inexcusable for the D to not show up...

Well they did play in a Grey cup... that's kinda close

BC's db's have not come out of the locker room yet

BC's receiver group is decimated with Cotty, Berryhill and McGee out and Hatcher a GTD. Buck is going to be calling some of us to play if this continues.

2011 was supposed to be the last year at the old stadium originally but delays made it 2012. The 29k had more to do with ppl thinking it was the last season there.

How hard is it to build a rum hut in every stadium in this league? Seriously.

Spring football isn't a popular spectator sport on either side of the border.

Not a good look. Need bums in the seats, optically sucks a**.

Ottawa and Toronto both look awful so far. They'll hype the hell out of Kelly but he's lucky he didn't throw about 12 picks in that one. He's got nothing on the ball, but some great receivers.

Since day 1 I’m not seeing what some see in JM as a bonafide starting CFL qb and fascinated by the contract that was given to him. I’m sure he’s a helluva guy but wow.

Lots of empty seats showed up for the Edmonton game today.

Maier was given every opportunity to win today. He cant throw the deep ball to save his life. Dru must just be steaming mad watching this

Whatever happened to ‘nothing and/or no one is put ahead of/ above the team’?

Swaggerville sold tickets but we didn't win a Grey Cup.

He had NOTHING to work with... Definitely not on Rourke.

Hamilton's D looks pretty good, though of course BC has no receivers so there's that too.

There's gotta be something going on that this many defenses... Not just ours... Look like **** to start the year.

Ticats got a warm weather O. That won’t work when it’s colder, the explosion big play O. That’s another 10 pack In a 20 pack box tho attendance wise.

Probably my fault but I think you are taking it way too literally. He understands the rule. He is just showing his disdain for the idea that an American can be considered Canadian. He was the biggest holdout against the rule. He knows how it works and chooses not to use it. He's just being stubborn on principle.

If he could rationalize not using the rule, I'd be ok with it (even if I disagree) but the fact that he can't even be bothered to understand it, is completely different. We're in a era where a lot of rule changes are happening so i hope we don't see more examples of this kind of thing.

It's a coaches duty to seize every advantage. Nothing makes we want a coach fired more than pissing away opportunities to improve.

More fodder to combat the bye-week blues...Chapter 2 from Strevelation:

I’m just stretching out the hammies but should be ready to go.

I tried a hot dog, with their seasoned fries

looks like there's maybe 2,000 people there today. How does that franchise survive?

Yep, its the Lions year alright … to suck. Sounds vaguely familiar 😉

Mitchell seems to get better with age. Zach seems to get weaker with age.
