Bob Cameron of all people gets a punt blocked! Returned for a td as well. Just pisses me off thinking about it even still. I also maintain that if Westwood makes those first few field goals we win that game. Jumping out 9-0 is a hell of a lot different momentum wise than 4-0

2001 was the most gut-wrenching GC loss for me: the drought, plus that talent gap between us and the stamps. You sure are right about that. The pre-ship teams played everyone so tough. The magic with finding Zach, moving BA to S, etc, in 19 was insane. And the 21 team was a monster that played like they had a chip on their shoulder. That unit could've hung 50 in every single game. Zach got to sit and chill in so many 4ths lol. I think the 21 atmosphere of being unbeatable from the outside, and the fact that we kept scraping our way back to GCs, softened things up a lot. Mos needed to tighten the reins in those years, not loosen them.

30 years old, had a torn ACL that forced him to miss the end of 2024 and almost all of 2025. Not exactly what the NFL looks for.

Bane's release screams you've been hurt and we are not going to bring you back to me.

93-Matty got hurt and we had to play Garza 94-Hit the upright and lost by 2 and a call in favour of Baltimore that would be reversed if there had been replay.

Mack has been good at that, yes. But Eberhardt last year was better downfield than Mack has ever been. 14.8 YPC vs 19.2, which I believe lead the whole league. Eberhardt also had a better catch rate, and in 85 fewer catches has the same amount of tds, just 400 fewer yards, and 140 ish les yac. Eberhardt also hasn't missed a game since he broke into the league. If you give him 100+ targets in a year, you will get some kenny lawler type production. I'd be very happy with either, but Id take the upside and health of Eberhardt over Mack.
  10. 3 points
Ya Mack is the make a big play on the ball down field guy. Would be a good fit with ZC
  11. 3 points
Yes. We need that alpha target, game on the line, makes the big catch. Demski is a great player, Wilson is a very good player but we need someone to replace what we lost in Lawler. Austin Mac is that guy.

The physicality and willingness to go to wall for their coach, from 2017 to sometime in 2022, cannot be denied. 2022 to 2025 are somewhat of a head scratcher, it does seem that complacency set in, much of it for the reasons you always cite.

We both share the same sentiments on a lot of the problems the Bombers have and a similar ideology on what will be required to fix it. I am just not as opposed to MOS being our HC. I think you share similar sentiments to me on KW's job performance. I have said all along that MOS has serious flaws that require the GM to step in. That's the difference of opinion you and I have, who has final say on what players are signed. I believe it is Walters, you believe it is Oshea. I think Osh has final say on what players are kept and how they are used, but i don't believe that Osh has final say on who is signed or resigned. Osh should have input but believe that Walters should wear the hat for who is under contract. If he has ceded that authority to MOS then that is a dereliction of duty imo.
  14. i’d be counting the days till contract is up yep
  15. So if your Smith or Shay, how pissed are you? I'd be pissed to know they signed an aging vet whose going to get pencilled in.
  16. Up to the Bryant signing, I was onboard with what they are doing. The Wilson signing I don't like at all. I assume there'll be maybe 2 or 3 more signings of older veterans before the FA window opens Feb 1st. Then Walters will tell us that we don't have the money left for any impact CFL free agents. Now, I'm thinking same old, same old with the emphasis on old. Younger guys will be screwed over. Osh & Walters gonna ride these guys into the sunset.

He would be the best pass blocker of the 3 from last year's play, but the worst run blocker of the 3. Eli is better overall and needs to step up in the pass game from his guard play to take the job. He should easily be able to do that. Id say Ciraco in pass pro is the bare minimum for what we need at C, and Eli run blocking is the minimum on that side. We haven't seen significant snaps from Eli at C in ages. It looked to me that he struggled out of position at Guard, which is not common but does happen (Yoshi is the biggest example). And that he, like everyone else, struggled with kola at C. I expect to see a significant improvement from him going back to his natural position full-time. If not, I'd cut him. I would expect to see that increase in the level of play before the first preseason game. Ciraco would be the backup plan imo. If we missed out on Woodmansey, I'd take flyers on guys like McEwen. Failing that, I'd try to target a C in the draft if possible. Ciraco would be the guy I would look to bring in during camp, if Eli fails, we don't get another FA, and Vibert doesn't step up. Basically, the contingency plan is the backup plan. He's a good pass blocker, but he fits our system really poorly. We'd have to give up on our zone run scheme, and even then, he isn't a guy who is going to feast in any run scheme. I believe in Eli, and I also really like Vibert. But I would bring in a plan A, and look long and hard at Cs in the draft.

Im surprised he didnt get more of an NFL look, but then I also think he could've gotten nutty money in free agency. Curious too. Imo, Wr, DL, Ol those are the position groups to spend money at. OL can be a bit hard for team-to-team transitions, though. And of course QB. Better to spend a million on your 4 wrs and go all young guys in the secondary imo. Gittens is yeah. I like all those guys. Johnson had a decent run in the NFL before coming up, older than I thought as well but still in his peak. I'd be very, very happy with that. I think you still need some insurance policy, guys, like sterns. And more Canadian WR depth, but that would be fantastic.

and u had 1 decent yr...not a priority signing in their mind which is smart....and best not be landing here When Mack...White....Rhymes...Eberhardt...Brisset are available...Is Gittens still a FA?? I thought Johnson was younger...29 hardly old but I thought he was like 25..26
  21. 2 points
No surprise that Johnson nre-upped. Corey Mace has created the same atmosphere Osh had from 2019-2022.

GM yes I believe has final say....or should....that being said Osh has too much sway...was even reported as such, and Walter's even has been on record more or less saying Osh has had hissy fit/temper tantrums about roster...that is not a good thing, and needed to be rectified. We need the G.M to do his jib, and H.C to do his from what the G.M gives him....I dont think thats 100 percent how it's going here, and it's obvious from what we witnessed last few yrs...but when you have buddies all in the role they have here...those defined lines get blurred Walter's prob succumbed to the whining that if you pooch Jake and Kolo....I want this player...or that player kinda thing...and again...bad management all around really tho....thats a poor argument that if Osh was coaching those teams they'd have won, because of amy of those coaches had been in control of the 2022-2025 teams...we prob have 3 more cup wins One the yrs u cited we had the QB go out in EF and also got boned on 2 calls in the pre-review era another a kicker who couldnt hit broad side of a barn and a RB who was essentially still drunk come game day....
  24. outside of clercius/woli, our wrs haven’t been those guys for a while. with demskis more demanding down field role, schoens injuries, and baileys departure we lost that culture. We got a couple guys who are alright. But not much, nothing like what we used to have.

I dunno...Any NCAA center how was twice nominated for a Rimington watch list candidate and was a widely regarded standout center over 36 ganes in Div 1 football, and is not undersized yet still athletic....former Rugby dude too....to me in my experience is a better option than a CIS slug..who was dumped on the scrap heap and unwanted for 2+ yrs, and if was given the chance to suck for as long as Kolo was...would have likely turned into one the best Centers in the league..Thankfully he is still in his prime as far as centers go...kinda just entering it so he still likely will But that's just me
  26. There's nothing wrong with a gm bringing vets to camp... but it's up to the head coach to assess camp and decide the vet has lost his job.

We need two receivers. One who is a guy who pushes the ball downfield & is a deep threat. The other is a possession receiver who isn't afraid to get his nose bloodied blocking for others. A Darvin Adams or Sheed Bailey type. I think Robustelli, Nield or Eberhardt fills that void. A deep threat downfield is much harder to find. That's why letting Lawler walk was such an insanely stupid decision last year. Especially when he said he was willing to take a bit less than he got in Hamilton to stay here. Hopefully that guy is now Ontaria Wilson. Do you think we bring back Keric Wheatfall? Should we?

To be fair Eberhardt has a higher YPC than Mack in more games played...BUUUT he's never really been "that guy" like Mack has. I would be ok with taking Eberhardt if Mack proves to want too much $$.

No. I might be inclined to take Eberhardt over Mack honestly.
