It'll be interesting to see when they get everyone on the field for a few days where the new Americans end up. Obviously one corner spot up for grabs, maybe safety/HB (Nichols could move to S). Most of our rookies have been in multiple pro camps already and even have some games in either NFL or spring leagues.

People sleeping on him thinking he’s like the late stages oft injured Hallett boys. Kelly’s a legit run and cover guy. Impressed me with physicality and ability to play down hill against the run. Small sample size, but he’s shown a hell of a lot of promise. I’m not a fan of the token Canadian at S that teams have frequently run out. Including us at times. But Kelly isn’t that guy. if he was QB here for us iun the grey cup the last 2 yrs...I bet we win those games....with the supporting cast we had....He got boned hard last yr by Campbell...and has been in situations in 2 of his stops where it was less than ideal inside the organizations.....if how things are here as many claim....he would have a couple rings easily

It’s pretty rare that a guy who otherwise would have made the team leaves the team and goes back to school. So in sum I think it really won’t make a a difference for individual players. Could see teams cycling Canadians through camp to find what they are looking for. And easier to do that when more players available. So really for the player probably a better shot to actually make a team vs the “come to three camps with us because you don’t count against the roster limit but we don’t really want you” situation we have now.

The trick is to get guys here. Then they fall in love with the atmosphere and the team approach. Just like demelo. I’m not sure there’s a closer group in the league. Listen if you want fancy stores and bright lights, Winnipeg ain’t for you. But if you love hockey it certainly is.

Once they hit 300k is when they lost their 2nd pick. Had they been 100-300k over, it would have cost them the first round pick only. Anything under 100k is a dollar for dollar fine.

He's emotionally unstable and lacks self confidence which leads to hot and cold spells, sometimes within the same game. Pointing to the sky every time he completes a TD pass is also looney.

Yeah I think in the long run it also gives the Canadian players a better chance to make a team because they'll be available to everyone. They should also fix the draft so players declare when they are done playing U Sports. They were on that track at one point instead of the automatic eligibility 4 years after they first enroll. The guys like McEwen would just wait until they are done playing U Sports to sign with the team that drafts them.

He’s soo much like Glenn it’s scary. Doesn’t have that hyper speed release, bit better athlete though. Soo many similarities as passers though. The same mistakes and turn overs.

I don’t think the return to school then back to the pros to the drafting team the following year has provided much though I like it in theory. We’ve used it a bunch but not it any success I can recall. We don’t expand the coaching staffs with guests much any more, and tc rosters are massive these days. I think we’re past the point of diminishing returns on having soo many guys and not enough time eyes or footballs to go around.

The mental part of the game is where he suffers the most.

7 is a stretch right now until camp breaks...sure some will throw out the Kramdi argument...but as much as many glom on about him..he's not the best option for the spot here..especially when it doesn't need to be manned by a Canadian.. if they feel the need to start him..and hes as smart as they say...throw him at safety as the field general and guy in charge of the back 6...Ala how BA's smarts made him so valuable...tho I don't think he has the athleticism there for it..and if he doesn't have it there then at sam where he could be in coverage on teams top targets...he is even more deficient. Hopefully we get 6 nationals on offence so we only required to have 1 on defence on any given snap and it would make us a way better defence Which is a poor roster decision..and makes us not our best

Adams is an interesting QB. He’s been hyped so much for so long now but he really is just an average cfl QB. Sure BC started off on fire but then it all went down hill and that seems to be a thing with Adams career. When things going good they go real good. When they go bad he never really turns it around. I don’t get the hype with him. He’s been around now. Not a rookie anymore. No difference between him and Harris who just can’t win when it matters.

19 3 and 4 last 26 at home. 3 regulation losses. Getting that bang for your buck this year.

Sorry to burst your bubble of hate-on for Stanley, but that was Schenn’s man to cover. Stanley was playing the puck carrier as he should have.

I like Woli as much as the next guy, but he isn't a 1000 yard guy that never got the ball thrown to him. That's just fallacy. In his first two seasons he was getting as many targets a game as Demski and for roughly the same YPC. In fact, that never really changed. Where Demski left Woli in the dust to become our 3rd receiver option was in his YAC and big play ability. Honestly, I don`t get the grousing when our 4thé5th receiving option received 4th and 5th option targets and opportunities. How can we say he was held back. He sure as heck wasn`t better than, and never will be better than, Schoen or Lawler or Demski or Brady O in the battle for targets per game. I am unclear why anyone would think Woli deserved targets over better receivers. He may get that somewhere else that doesn`t have the talent of our receiving group, but that certainly does not mean we held him back. We gave him the targets that he earned according to his place on the depth chart. That`s not holding someone back.

Year one is adjusting to pro speed for most guys, year 2 should see many guys begin bringing their game. Sucks they are doing that but I doubt it has any real impact whatsoever on anyone's roster.

The draft is going to be huge for depth. Hopefully we land at least 3 guys who can contribute this year. As well, hopefully guys like Sampson and MCI can play a larger role in year 2.

It’s not bad faith, it’s actual football eval vs bad impressions. Acting and treating woli like he’s Jamie stoddard is arguing in bad faith. What you’re missing is, if he came up as an imp he never would’ve been used as a primary blocker, and bc wasn’t a run heavy team. He would’ve been looking at a lot more pass catching volume. He has all the tools and has shown that here. He would’ve been much better off being viewed as a wr first and foremost. People sleep on what woli is in term of size athleticism hands and football iq. He’s an excellent route runner and there is a damn good reason he is instantly a clutch target for every qb he’s played with.

You arguing this in bad faith. The presumption of the argument is that Woli never comes in as a NAT but an IMP with the Lions. In that case, I don't see him getting any kind of a sniff of quality playing time or touches with the Lions either. The fact of the matter in all of this is that Woli could have been a reasonably productive WR for us or an outstanding possession/TE type of receiver. One will get you more touches and yardage, the other is way more valuable beyond the stats. Woli had an extremely important role within our offence and he did it well. We did not hold him back.

Honestly, I'd love for them to continue being #9thForLife and continue to get crappy draft picks and still accomplishing nothing each year... But I could settle for the Jets crushing their hopes and dreams.
