My concern with vaughters is outside of power he’s really marginal athletically. Hes not Jake Thomas slow, but he is slow as hell. If his bull rush fails, he’s basically sol. He’s at that age you wonder when he will lose a step. When that happens, it’s over for him imo. At least on the edge. He could probably be a strong pass rusher from inside for a while after that happens. imo, inside as an imp, he’s behind woods fox and adams, in that adams can develop a lot still. While also being behind Lawson. And the inevitable wasting of the entire game in one spot on Jake Thomas. I don’t expect us to make the best use of vaughters. If he loses any thing on that first step he’s cooked on the edge. He’s tied for the highest paid db on the team, tied for 3rd on the D. In an off season we are looking at losing two starting Canadians in free agency, both of whom are better at their position than Kramdi is, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Kramdi is 70% a contract problem. He did step up last year and if he continues to play at that level it’ll be tenable. It sets a horrible standard for us with the NI and dbs though. It’s a real boat anchor of a deal.

Thing is we need a vet/known commodity in addition to what we have currently to fill out our receiving Corp Schoen shouldn't and can't be assumed to be 110% immediately...and who's to say he doesn't have a Lil set back...We have Mitchell...Demski as what you can consider proven...after that a 2nd yr Clercius and ??? The savings we could see on lawler and schoen are significant. which makes me look at Demskis deal in an even worse light. He would be on track to be the highest paid wr in the league at this point. I love Demski and I’d like him to be back. But not to the tune of 225k+. In a choice between Demski and ceresna I’d like ceresna. I’d rather pay ford to stay than give Demski that kind of money. I’d rather have kept woli and let Demski go while saving 100k+

I was down south in the maga belt for work during the campaign and his win. Then till now a good chunk of the people I know who voted for him are even embarrassed and regret it. I’ve been working on crazy lil impact preparations for things that no one would expect to be impacted. 175k for schoen 225 for mcinnis. I’d say that means lawler and Gino are in for low 200k range.

Some people blinded by what Osh claims...he's by far a complete player to be paid what he is and he doesn't just "make plays" He's good in a couple facets..but he's horrible in coverage...he at times out in space looks lost and misses his play and he is not a good in space tackler...he's good crashing down and in the scrum but in space was prob our worst db And that salary and the others tied into the secondary are killing us...his 140 would be better served with Ford and SAM is easily replaced for under 100k

Wheatfall wasn't physically lacking so with a year under his belt hopefully he has a better grip on the playbook and the CFL game, at least he should have a step up on the rookies. He's a good placeholder until Pokey comes back. VA throwing to Lawler could be scary.

I’d look at upgrading the DL. Definitely a guy like Ceresna or Brinkman would be nice. Either or there. Good with either one of the 2. I wouldn’t overpay for lawler. Cuz Schoen Demski Mitchell Clercius with Brady is already a solid group. The O sucked last year. Think we need to try a different approach. More Brady and short gain than Hail Mary circus catches to one guy. I’d love lawler back tho. Think they can grab lawler or Lewis still and a Brinkman tho. it wouldn’t shock me to see a release or 2 before camp also at this point. I’m looking kyrie and Jake’s way regardless of signing new deals. Jake has the Canadian passport tho so that does matter a bit here.

Love Lawler but think we may lose him and I understand completely if Walter's won't show him the money again. We haven't got value for his pay the last 2 years. He likely has a very similar contract to Schoen in front of him. He can choose to be here and take an incentive laden contract that will require he bets on himself or take the money and run I guess. Vaughters is very similar DE to Jeffcoat in style of play. Not sure what he's got in the tank, but I like the move. Last year the Stamps DL was on the field a lot and got worn out imo
