I’d takes Lewis fully cooked over a never ripe Cobb

Hope to heck they let Brown start next week in Ottawa. Let him personally make Dinwiddie eat his words I could really see a game like that brining the team together in the locker room.

Team deserved to lose wearing jerseys like that.

It is interesting the approach we are taking with our draft picks. Seems like we hold our picks with the one exception that we freely use them to acquire QB's. Zack, Brown, TE... And there's somewhat of a strategy here in terms of going more American on the offensive line. Clearly we won't be drafting a Canadian lineman next year who will factor in anytime soon without a first or 2nd. But we've been using later round picks to draft NFL bound offensive lineman who are basically Americans. But these guys when they come here will have no problems staying in Winnipeg because they aren't from BC or Ontario. it was my understanding that typically American QB's are paid more than league minimum even as rookies. But maybe times have changed.

I’m hoping we let Elgerma do short yardage at that size he should be really good at it. It’s mostly about size. Perkins does seem crafty at it but can we really afford to pay Dru Brown, Zach and Perkins who would be getting more than the minimum contact that TE is getting. I wonder if Brown restructures.

I just hope we play enough Canadians so we at least get a 2nd round pick next season. Surprised we had to give up so much for him. More than we gave up for Zach.

In regards to Daniels not getting targets…. Is it possible that they view him as a bit of a surprise element for week 1 and didn’t want to put anything about him other than blocking on film.

Not wrong

Only 2 Americans kept at receiver on the active roster and 4 American offensive lineman. Seems like we are trending towards starting 3 Canadians at receiver and more than 2 Americans on the offensive line. How the number 1s line up in practice will be telling. Hypothetically we could start 4 Americans on the offensive line. We could use Willie Jefferson as the nationalized American and split kramdi and Allen at safety or something to that affect.

It’s pretty typical of any sports league to have to pay for more than one service to get every games. Thats how you maximize money. Essentially the cost of acquiring all games went up for consumers and some of that increase is being passed to the league. Services will pay for right if it will drive subs.

When are cuts due

As league revenues grow it should help to make some additional teams to be viable even with smaller stadiums.

This announcement is boring without financial details…

Yeah.. So we'd be trading one identical situations for a cheaper younger version of the same thing. Ok.. So you're against this why?

Id be down for that.

“- 0 drops on 88 targets in 2023, great ball skills“ the knock on him is a big slow coming out of the breaks but man if he can master the waggle. Also doesn’t make anybody miss after making the catch. Good be a great endzone target especially starting in 2027 when the endzone is smaller and the goalposts are gone.

True but in the context of what he’s saying I think he’s right. Finding an American who can play a better guard than Nuefeld at league minimum shouldn’t be difficult in fact we already have vanterpool who can do that.

Teams need up using it in a specific way last year because it was announced so late. Can’t imagine it didn’t become apart of the normal cap going forward.

Have we adjusted the numbers based on the cap going up last year and this year ? BO not getting that much of raise really based on cap percentage.

Am i safe to assume that we didn't qualify this season for one of the bonus draft picks for being amount the top 2 teams in overall Canadian snaps?

I would like Oshea to return and would even be ok with him receiving gm duties with Brock doing all actually GM stuff save for making the final decisions on players. This would free up operations cap space to hire LaPolice as OC. Talk of moving on from O’Shea is crazy to me. Yes his roster management is annoying but we won’t a lot of games over the past several seasons with his linebacker heavy lineups. Be carefull what some of you wish for.

Those guys sure looked good and will give us some nice options next season. We should move on from at least one of our aging defensive ends and spend money elsewhere.

I’m not convinced the bombers need the goalposts removed in order to produce more touchdowns
