  1. https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/01/20/winnipeg-blue-bombers-re-sign-receiver-drew-wolitarsky-to-two-year-deal/ Woli back!

  2. Dom Wooganowski.... was never going to play anywhere else. I know that it can sound like bullshit, but the last time he signed he said that he's not going to play anywhere else in the CFL. That he'd retire if the Bombers didn't want him anymore. He just wants to live in MB, play music, and a bit of football on the side. Glad he's going to (likely) finish things up with the '25 GC...

  3. I honestly forgot he was a FA. Great to get him back on a two-year deal.

  4. KSB is a horrible route runner and technically awful...was so hyped by Suitor and TSN for a few good games and play...suspect hands too. Woli has great hands...great routes...knows where soft spots are to help out his QB...great in run game and pass protection...as solid as solid as u can get...and he's a leader

  5. It's not stove persay, cause before him we had Nevis... we just really need that big strong as an ox body at DT to disrupt the interior of the LOS. Haven't had that since Stove left.

  6. If Wolitarsky wasn't behind guys like schoen, Lawler, demski etc he would get a lot more attention league wide.

  7. Gray is the swing guy we need....plays all spots well ..not spectacular but he's still young in regards to oline I'd like to see Dobson overtake him and he be our sixth...but also be the guy to come in for what Jackson been doing...he did do it some games already...he's athletic enough and that's all he knows....moving bodies and he always one of first lineman down field blocking....frees up the DA spot and allows an actual impact player on the field as well

  8. If we had a player like Stove the past two years, I think we'd be talking about going for a record tying 5th straight GC. Instead, our D took a hit for some reason Walters, Osh & Hall never thought it a priority to upgrade our interior DL. I never understood the logic of doing absolutely nothing.

  9. Kaion Julian Grant and Tyson Philpot would be there with Woli imo.

  10. Good to see Woli back. Demski, Woli, Dobson, Eli, Neufeld, Kramdi, we're looking all right at our National spots.

  11. I don't wanna lose Gray (he's the Manitoban that nobody talks about) but IMO, he's the 6th man right now. I'd start Dobson over him at G, and obviously Eli at C and let Koala go anywhere else. But Gray's versatility is still useful.

  12. not bringing in at lest 2 legit NT or at least beastly DT's to compete in camp....legitimately compete against incumbents would be a recruitment failure, as that would be 3 yrs now running ignoring a glaring hole....much like the Rider woes on o-line

  13. Bladek wouldn't be an upgrade over anyone we have now...Maybe Machino and Kolo if we resigned him but doubt we do...

  14. If they're not dressed in a Bomber uni, they rank ****. Sorry, my 12 year old side is coming out.

  15. He’s top 3 NI WR in the league imo. Behind Demski and Gittens Jr. I’d rather have Woli than KSB for example.

  16. Or we had Poop....Brandon Bryant...Bryant turner...guys who were hard to handle one on one

  17. I’m honestly getting tired of seeing Stove’s name over and over. He’s done nothing but be injured since he’s left while we’ve been the top rated defence every year. we’ve done nothing. Jesus. How can you even make that claim?
    3 points
  18. With the XFL and USFL merging and eliminating a lot of their teams, there should be a bunch of NT types on the market. Those leagues favored the big NTs and now a bunch have been freed up.

  19. I don’t think we bring in any vet ni ol from fa. Rookies for depth beyond what we keep. I’d actually take bladek over kola, the only guy with less mobility than kola is Thomas. That said, Dobson Eli and gray would be miles ahead of bladek. I respect kola for his effort and toughness, he over achieved a lot and was enabled by our ol and the sheer fact he was a centre. He’s the worst ol we’ve had in a long long time.

  20. I think most on here, lament the loss of a dominant interior lineman when he played, whether that was stove or nevis. I dont recall anyone calling for the Bombers to sign him.

  21. Emilus had over a 1000 yards last season. There's quite a few Canadian receivers last year who put up some good numbers who flew a little bit under my radar.

  22. That’s what I mean. I wouldn’t want him here other than depth. I think someone’s going to overpay and start him for sure. So many teams with trash OL’s. Sask most notably.

  23. Woli's signing is a good indication things are starting to move....Best budz with Streve and a just a great go to guy when we're in tough....I wonder if Wolitarsky has some inside info on where Streve is headed??

  24. Although they're starting to, so the clock is ticking.

  25. Gray is a liability in pass pro who can play guard and edge in goal line set. He should be a tackle long term but needs polish. Woli resigns for 2 years. Nice to have Strevys room mate locked up.

  26. I never said that. Do you think twisting what I said for your purposes makes you a strong man? The replacements are the guys we already have on the roster. Like Tui, Dobsen, and Jeremy Murphy. The draft picks are to rebuild the depth after elevating some younger players. That was made clear in my original post. Looking at the roster now what's the drop off from Gray to Tui vs the drop off from Schoen to Ontaria Wilson? The drop off to Tui is nothing. He's probably better than Gray.

  27. Gray's not replaceable. Name me another player who can play Center, Guard or Tackle? As someone said, Gray hasn't reached his peak yet as a player. Thinking draft picks can replace veterans & we keep rolling along is a fallacy.

  28. TBF, the post was better than The Tommyknockers

  29. Gray is a starter & can play multiple positions. We need him.

  31. https://3downnation.com/2024/01/19/east-west-shrine-bowl-will-not-invite-u-sports-prospect-for-first-time-since-1985/ Kinda sad news, the east west bowl is no longer inviting cis players. The writing was on the wall going down from 2 - 1 which was nonsensical enough.

  32. From where he came from to where he's at now, you could say he is (relatively speaking of course). He was a 6th round draft pick, who was out of football for 2 years and then had to drive down to one of our FA tryouts just to get a look. That screams TCF but he's made the most out of his opportunity here.

  33. it's a hamstring... those can be tricky. Best to let him get fully healed rather than rush him back and lose him for a more important part of the year.

  34. thats why if we landed a Payton Logan in FA....or a rookie clone in lieu of BO if he gonna hold us hostage where we would excell in the screen game...guys like that...get a small hole...or get edge outside with the explosive speed are eating up huge yards....we have lacked that aspect and at times it has hurt us when our deep to intermediate game was off...or taken away and we had no answer to it

  35. Emilus needs to put solid seasons together first...but he doesn't do it all either...Mcinnis too...one yr really of good production...but also was in a pass first and pass heavy offense....Cottoy I would put in the teir with Woli....Smith...had to look him up ..let's see what yr 2 thru 4 holds...he seems like right now a 1 trick pony

  37. Prediction time Bombers sign Schoen and Streveler Brady goes East. He is replaced with an American RB.

  38. I think that the selections of Canadians were political anyway. Not always the best U Sport players went down for the game. Besides, why should an American Senior Bowl promote Canadian players over Americans? Bladek would be an upgrade over who we have now. He certainly would add more depth to our OL position.

  39. Argos cut bladek ahead of free agency. Some one wake up the riders and their fan base time for them to get all hyped sign him to a big deal and anoint him the starter and cure all to their ol.

  40. Jodie Foster has shocked the “Star Wars” fandom by confirming she was offered the role of Princess Leia, but turned it down because she didn't want to break a contract she had with Disney. https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/pop-culture-news/jodie-foster-says-turned-princess-leia-role-star-wars-disney-contract-rcna134711 Now, you would think her portrayal of a 13yr old hooker in Taxi Driver would have broke her contract with Disney.

  41. They gotta work on screen game and other quick stuff this year. Lawler is great at it. Will absolutely bind defenses in combination with their and Demski's ability to get downfield too.

  42. I don’t think it can be disputed anymore that the better defensive team wins 99% of the time. You look at this year’s Eagles, they started 10-0 but everyone knew they couldn’t defend, and it would eventually bite them. They got exposed vs San Fran, and then they fell apart. As it’s well known here too, an interior DL is wildly underrated to a good D. You can have the best DE in the world, and it won’t matter if your interior guys aren’t doing their thing properly.
