For sure tremendous room for growth but talking more of the way they call the game tends be in favour more for the O than the D e.g not calling blatant holding calls at times.

I vehemently disagree. If one goes they both have to go. It would take a forensic expert months to find the separation between the two. It is absolutely nauseating how ppl here want MOS fired but Walters retained. The Bombers problems, if they are a fireable offense, are the fault of both men. A true chicken and the egg scenario. MOS wont change his roster but Walters gives him zero young talent to do so.

Firing MOS but keeping Walters would be monumentally stupid. Walters and the scouts have been horrid since Rigmaiden left

They came together in time for the playoffs & dominated but the 2021 defense was something. We hadn't seen that type of domination in decades.

GMs usually have one or maybe two head coach firings in them before upper magmt cans them as well. Walters has never exercised that option. Therefore, they'll go together but it won't be until after the 2028 season.

You cant upset the apple cart and fire whole regime...especially if it's not a complete dumpster fire...You start with the HC...almost always and that G.M gets his second attempt to see if the coaching was the issue...if things still tilt downward with no relief in site...then yeah purge city

A G.M and HC purge..which essentially leads to total staff turnover and a lot of times admin pieces too...is last resort and will really set you back a few yrs...a HC canning wont

This isn't a usual situation. Its 11 years of available evaluation on both of them. It is extremely clear that Walters cannot use MOS as his mulligan. There is no world in which anyone could believe that Walters did a good job only to be screwed up by MOS. MOS compounded the problem to be sure but our management group has not brought in or retained a reasonable amount of talent. Anyone blaming MOS solely for that is doing so out of bias. They are tied at the hip. If it is decided that the trinity must be broken up then the broom needs to come out and we do a full reset or we end up in the exact same situation.

If that sets us back temporarily so be it.

That being said I believe that we are in much better shape in all areas than last year. Our D will come around and our O and coaching is far better. Even Younger is just getting a new lineup to row together, that will come.

I do actually agree that if one goes, the other should go too. Despite how disjointed it looks in it's execution, the line we've been fed for years is that it's one unit working in unison and every decision they make is made as a team. I don't think Walters deserves to keep his job if O'Shea is let go, if for nothing else than because he's spent too much time allowing what could be his subordinate to have an equal say when it hasn't been or shouldn't be needed.

If we are going to reset then we have to fix it right from the roots up. Walters giving a new coach carte blanche does nothing.

I'd toss them both out just for the stand alone reason of this bullshit with the refusal to use an American as a Canadian even though we're allowed to. It's borderline negligent and I know that's not going to sit well with some people but there's a reason we are the only one of nine teams that doesn't use it.

There's no chance they are making a move on O'Shea or Walters right after they extended both. They're 1-1 right now. Lots of season left.

Yeah, absolutely agree. In case it wasn't clear to anyone, I wasn't suggesting we can them. I was just saying that IF we were to do it, I'd see no reason for it not to be both. That call is far away from being made at this point in the season though.

It shouldn't ruffle any feathers as it's a true statement...And as I've mentioned before in the voting process to impliment this...there was a lone detractor of it and a "no" vote when voted on...and that lone voter made his disapproval/displeasure very clear, gee...guess who?

And the fact his pouty attitude over it and refusal to not use to better the roster should have been reason to can him right there...especially if it was brought up internally and was a directive from his bosses..aka Wade and Walters and he still acted childish over it....and there are other reasons which compounded this as well that should have been adressed

If this was brought up and nothing done...or was failed to be brought up...then yeah...Can them both and reset...for all the glowing talk and chatter about model franchise...great trio...etc...there sure is a lot of piss poor things going on

I'd give it a little time before we put together a lynching party....We have an idea but not quite sure where to put blame, even if everything starts to go off the rails...Got to say that piss poor defensive effort doesn't cast a great light on Younger BUT does he take ALL of the blame...I think we have to start changing players before coaches cuz maybe we just don't have the right mix on D...We'll see who shows up next home game, and IF we get more of the same, there has to be changes....I don't know where the term FIFO went when referring to the attitude this club had ....but they better get it back and the term should apply to coaches as well
