and not 27 yr old receivers...who was already passed on....our gain, and he can forge a nice career up here and make more than decent money doing so...he barring injury has a good solid 5...6 yrs in him here and being a main fixture

Mind boggling the politics in the NFL. Can't believe a team won't even give him a contract/ try out.

He lit the league on fire, pro football. Can't even get a sniff. I feel for him

Keep in mind he's been there before. They know who he is.

If they look on tape and see the same guy, why bring him back?

Schoen like I said....was behind the 8-Ball in a few different areas...which is too bad, and its the meat grinder political world BS that is the NFL....That being said too, he may be one those freak guys who just excel and become all world due to the waggle....it's a real thing and sometimes is just that lil tweak some guys need to go from good...to great...and NFL scouts surely have dissected the 24 man tape and went over every big play and analyzed it

Of course you have guys down south like "Boomer Esiason" & others and their thoughts on the CFL, its players or the style of play in the CFL... Schoen will be a welcomed addition to the Bombers and the CFL fans....

Wrs sayles and a couple back up guys. Wr is the only position that’s really deep in fa too. Great position to be in.

Going to be interesting to see what we do at DT. Curious that Sayles hasnt been brought back yet. Wonder if were going after a bigger fish.....

This. I suspect we are not going to give sayles good money. It’s a lot easier and cheaper to bring in a first year nose and continue to rotate Canadians at the other dt spot.
I think sayles is in grants position last year. Has an offer and it’s not huge. Gonna sit through fa and see if any one wants to pay him or if he wants to continue to play enough to play for a last year type salary.

Gotta save money somewhere.

Yeah fair enough but he wouldn't stand out before his time in the CFL. What he accomplished in the CFL was nothing short of amazing. A lot of guys with loads of potential on paper but can't get it done when the lights come on

He's the complete opposite. I guess that's why I'm no scout lol. The fact that he absolutely dominated pro ball in Canada --- and the talent is here. Is extremely impressive for me. Some guys just know how to contribute. He's one of them

The waggle is a good point And something I never considered. Stegall would be a good example of that

What was it

He tweeted that he didn't like living in Regina but the people were friendly. Rider fans took exception to the first part of that sentence. LaPo deleted that tweet after there an upswell of negative Rider comments. He then posted another that he didn't like Regina because it's too cold & windy which didn't help.

Honestly, why would you like living there? Guys go for money and that’s it.

Regardless of what they say, in the CFL the cap is low, so that is Regina’s only ability to compete with other places that can’t fit people under the cap.

The cap should be at least a million dollars higher.
