Too soon?  Too many truly painful Grey Cup losses have taken the sting out of yesterday's loss already.

Time to look forward while we cope with the recent disappointment.  

Who do we keep?  Who do we let go?  Who do we go after?

I've said this about a hundred times. Here goes 101... His Interior DL in front of him wasn't as good at stopping the run as it was in 2021. No Stevie Richardson or Kongbo as they had departed. Jeffcoat was out for stretches this year as well. That left it up to the interior linebackers to step up into the A & B gaps themselves to stop the run. Play after play for 18 games. Just look at the injuries back there. Shore up the DL & watch our defense bounce back & play better. Biggie & everybody else.

Not just run stopped but stove and our previous chain of nose tackles demanded double teams leaving the ends one on one. On top of that stove would still push the center back onto the qbs lap and create pressure. 
 The big loss with kongbo and hansen for most of the season is we couldn’t rotate des much at all this year. Not only was wj playing with no protection from double teams and no forcing the qb to move the pocket he played way more reps than he’s used to here.

It could turn out to be true, but based on what we know factually thus far the odds of it being a mistake are very low. Especially when you look at the state of QBing around the league. If Collaros, the b2b MOP, wants a 3 year deal you would have to be absolutely idiotic not to jump on that. If you are signing players based on the worst case scenarios instead of what they have demonstrated then that could explain 4 cups in 100 years. Agree 100%. A dominant interior DL is nearly un-schemeable

Haha I meant more we could just fill in and keep rolling along, Calgary has done it (minus the winning Grey Cups at an equivalent rate part). 

I had no doubt Mike O would be extending and therefore giving a big reason for continuity with the club....coaches and players alike....We're going to be a force for the foreseeable future

The thought, or should I say lack of thought, process over at Riderfans was that the Bombers losing the Grey Cup and MOS not being extended would lead to players and coaches exiting stage left as other teams picked up our entire coaching staff. Currently the suggestion is that Marty Costello is ripe for the picking and would move laterally to them to take on their OL tire fire. 

Today they have discovered that most of their good pending FAs have snubbed extensions in favor of testing FA. lmao. Sankey, Dean et al, have apparently informed the RIders of their intention to do so. TIRE FIRE!! They are going to be worse than last year.

EDIT:

Just a moment ago the same poster that stated that our extension of ZC for 3 years is a big mistake, has now doubled down and stated that MOS for 3 years is also a mistake. SMH. You can't make up stuff to illustrate how delusional a fan base they are that is more golden than that. There is no sane reasoning as to why the Bombers would not lock up MOS. Even if the team completely aged out and started losing in a couple years, I could think of no better CFL coach to begin a rebuild with.
