3 stars plus hh de clawed the cats part 2

1 Zach collaros. Carried the offense till we got the run going. Took some hits and made a lot happen with his legs.

2 Brady Oliveira. Huge night. A big catch lots of grinding runs. And a couple good blocks.

3 the dl. Every guy had big plays and lots of pressure

Hh woli didn't get much of a looks but he had a huge block on the 2nd td pass.

HH to that guy that brought the "Riders Suck" sign to the game lol.

  • the make-up of this team and the character of the guys is pretty damn impressive, and is a huge key to our success...leaders across the board and nice to see Biggie healthy and being...well...Biggie.

Biggie had a big game. Him dropping more and roc rushing helped that. That's the biggie we expect to see

I loved Lawlers play. Made some tough catches.

1. Oliviera - dude had his coming out party in front of his friends and family.

2. Collaros - just so mobile.. so many of these plays don't happen early 2019.

3. The D - 6 points against says it all

HH gonna go to Casey Sayles who I noticed a few times making big plays

1. Jefferson: one interception and created another with his pressure

2. Collaros: they don't win this game without him, no matter how well the D played

3. Bighill: superb gap control and run stopping

HH: #45 in the secondary

D line was ferrous against a mobile veteran QB excited to see them play this year.

1. Brady Olivera ,what a debut.

2. The big boys up front for opening the holes for him.

3. That entire D line. They are scary.

HH. Collaros ,I didn't realize he could move like that.

1 - D line... can't single out any of them all were fantastic.

2 - O line... how can you single any of them out either.

3 - Oliviera - The guy found some great holes and made great cuts which completely exhausted the Hamilton D in the 2nd half.

HH - Lawler, Demski (first half),  Bighill, Collaros for being handsome

Some honorable mentions, Hansen had 3 teams tackles and was flying down field. Mike Jones with a big hit on banks forcing a fumble and putting him in whine mode. Lawler and demski were great in the first half too.

Did Majuro play - the Japanese guy?

He did but he got hurt and didn't return in the first half

1. Brady Oliviera. Off to a slow start  but started finding his legs in the 2nd quarter. By games end he was dominating. He better take the Big Men in front out for dinner as they blocked hard for him.

2. Zach Collaros. Suddenly it's 1984 again & it's like Tommy Clements stepped out of a time machine. He made plays with his arms & his legs to avoid the rush & extend plays.

3. Gonna give it to the entire defense. They dominated the LOS & pressured Massoli all night. They played smashmouth again & the Cats couldn't handle it. I'm sure other DC's are watching & now have a good idea how to stop that Ti Cat offense & take Brandon Banks head out of the game.

HHA: Offensive line. Always the unsung heoes. They dominated.

Not sure why I never thought of Tom Clements comparison before.  Kind of fits.

When Zach gaining those 20 or so yards for the 1st down I was reminded of Buck.

He has a better arm then bucks but not as quick! Otherwise I had some of the same thoughts lol

The DB's also must of stuck to the receivers like glue.... Masoli could not find anyone downfield outside of the first two drives.

1. Oliveira - took a quarter but he found his legs. Ground and pound.

2. The leaders on both sides of the ball - Willie and Zach. Both led by example and produced great games.

3. Bombers D - Lots of questions about the secondary but, overall, a tremendous performance to hold the Ti-Cats off the board after the first drive.

HH - Nelson. Took a bad penalty but stepped up on P/K returns and still lined up on offence to get some yards.

1. Collaros - His scrambling was THE reason the offence got started and THE reason for the big plays.

2. Oliveira - Hard running. Good vision. I'm not so worried about Harris being on the sidelines anymore.

3. D line - I like to pick a single player, but how do you do that when the whole line played great.

I think by mid season a lot of CFL watchers are going to be talking about Sayles and Kongbo, in addition to the Jeffs. Kongbo was disruptive, quick. Sayles looks like a player with experience in pro camps, which he is.

still a whinny lil *****...I cant stand him...never could

Collaros......and to think in 19' a few people thought it was a mistake to bring him in......guess they were wrong

Oliveira.....the kid is coming as advertised....great camp and I hope he keeps it going

Jefferson/Lawler......two spark plugs that give this team the edge on most days
