Number 2 Pivot: Who Steps Up?

BC - Ricky Lloyd and first-year Leos Austin Apodaca and Cole Sears will handle the quarterback reps in hopes of getting a leg up on sticking behind Reilly on the depth chart. 

Edmonton- Danny O’Brian, Logan Kilgore, Briscoe.

- One big observation in the first week of camp is the depth at receiver. Standouts at the position have included Joey Augustin, Marquis Bundy and Mexican additions Fernando Richarte and Gerardo Alvarez. All CFL clubs are required to keep one global player on their roster beyond training camp.

- Defensive Line: Calling On Another Bookend

With Odell Willis having another strong showing in camp, the big question remains who will line up as the other bookend.

- Linebacker Adam Konar gets to battle some of his own teammates after he was cut loose and quickly picked up by the Lions on day one of camp. He’ll start at MLB

The Alouettes franchise has been a festering wound since the moment it started up again.  Had some great years on the field but off the field always a mess, losing money.  Will be very interesting to see how this plays out.

I actually thought the league had already taken it over. This doesn't seem like such a huge thing...it's just a transition piece before the new owner takes over...whether it's the Dragon's Den guy or Eric Lapointe's group (my personal preference, for the good of the league...) I think this will work out sooner rather than later...

It gets under my skin when the league has a vested interest in a team doing well on the field.

When is it our turn?

it really sucks that the league is so dependent on Toronto and Montreal to be successful....

Way to flip that coin and pat self on back. You had a 50- 50 chance of being right, Herb 

 And if the league had found an owner you would have called it a "surprising development" with zero admission of being wrong and quickly moved on to what is "troubling" about said owner.

CFL fans should be thankful for old school print reporters who still find the league interesting, I suppose  but often he comes across as a bitchy negatron so common in the industry.

I believe hes been ar practice a few days....Solo El... hasnt even put pit stick on yet.

Reminds a me a little of the 2013 pre-season... you don’t put too much emphasis on x games but when you lose 37-1... it should be a bit of a red flag...

P-Riders have gotten a preview of their season.

Turned out that the Stamps-Rider game was a NO, anyways.....

I sort of like a coach that takes every game seriously, pre-season or not.  Sets an example.  That's what leaders do.

But that’s the point. There was really nothing to gain by winning the challenge and they stood to lose their next challenge if they were wrong. 

Serious or not. Pick your spots.
