Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion

Training Camp is over, the roster has been set, and the biggest Q is who should MOS start at QB.

The Bomber Brass are comparing notes on that and have yet to decide so its not clear cut by any means. The default is Ross by a nose but we could have 3 legit thoroughbreds in our stable all at once.

I personally believe Steveler has the most upside based on pure talent, scrambling pizzazz, and the ability to see the whole field. He is also the most likely to turn the ball over and make gigantically good plays. Ross will protect the ball best and run the short game well.

Ross may have played the most regular season downs but Bennett has the most experience especially in the Bomber system. I can see us saying later in the year "why didn't we start using Bennett earlier?" He is my pick for short yardage QB but I would be happy with Steveler in that role too.  My best guess: Ross starts but Steveler comes in as soon as Ross has two or three bad series in a row.

and uses his hands to get the ball. A lot of rookie wrs look lost early on. He really looked the part in game one. Had that one brain fart on the deep ball but i didnt think he had the angle to run it in any way.

I actually agree with you... it didn't look like he was going to make it either way... but he still looked pretty goofy just stutter-stepping for no apparently reason...

His experience showed......runs crisp patterns and made a nice delay cut, to spring himself on the long gain.

Imagine everyone was perfect. With the amount of times i've heard about that you would have thought he fumbled on that play.

Would put in, but haven't checked with Dr. Nick Rivera yet...

At 30 years of age I don't know that I would categorise him as a rookie.

Spooner has been suspended for 2 games for testing positive for banned substances

And Walters' statement on the matter:

Bombers very forgiving.

Wow on Spooner.

There will always be those who think they can outsmart the testing. We can only hope that Spooner will benefit from this lesson.

"I don't know how that happened" works for surprise pregnancies as well.

So once he is off the stuff will he still be as good a player ?

Well, I will give the same response I would give if this happened to any player in the league...I will reserve judgement on his intent. He is paying a price for this - 2 games pay - so regardless, he needs to be more careful.

In other news...according to the depth chart the Bombers have both Fenner and Leggett listed at SAM.

this is a good point. He is new to us, but not new to the pros.

lol. I have no idea if he takes any thing, but contaminated supplements are a HUUUUUGE thing.

I like spooner, I hope this was an accident, and if it was an incident I hope he smartens up. To be honest, I dont know that spooner makes "steroid money" 😛

I hear the more LBers you dress the better your chances are of winning.

Maybe its apart of a new deception tactic. They wont know who is playing what until we line up! list every one as a lber!!!!!!

A football player caught with PED's in his body and he doesn't know where they came from? That's a story I've never ever heard before. Surprised he got caught? That I believe. Sorry that he got caught? I believe that too. A pro not knowing what he's taking? Nope... I don't believe that.

Well since he has no clue how it get into his system there's nothing to prevent him from getting it again right ;)

By my count, 22 words.  I'm separating the hypenated word into it's components.  Taken as one word, the count is 19.  Hope that helps!
