Love it.
At the time didn't realize how lucky we were to go from Roberts to Reid. That 260 game was something else.
Walls was fun to watch and made a lot of plays. Didn't know he stayed in Winnipeg after football.

Could see the possibility of signing him to let Leggs focus solely on FG kicking.

They wanted to show the world that the tyranny they imagine is backed up by actual jackbooted new world order cops. That'll legitimize them, bring in more believers and more marks. When they were controlled nonviolently -- like when they were blockaded in at Billings Bridge and Riverside -- they are helpless.
I think the authorities' working theory is that this is a fringe movement that won't be popular in Canada, but it could go more mainstream if people get sympathetic to it, and scenes of good honest canadian whiteboys and their kids getting kicked around by evil NWO cops is a great way to build that sympathy and legitimacy in their target audience.
They absolutely want to become martyrs. They want the cops to get violence so they can claim to be victims. Why else would they put their kids out in front of them and dare the cops to do something. Disgusting cowards.

As much as it would have disgusted me, if they had just gone and camped on the front lawn of the Parliament building, without trying to disrupt the daily lives and businesses of Ottawans (???), they could have camped their until spring. But, when they went after the people of Ottawa, that was over the line. The racist stuff is just to be expected from them.
Exactly, these occupiers have no clue. They have a right to protest peacefully just like everybody else. Trucks don't have a right to protest. Commercial vehicles don't have a right to protest.

I think he'd be worth a look for that 3rd import spot if the price is right. I thought he was older but he's only just turning 30.

Professional Athletes, coaches and management are humans too. The stuff that happens behind the scenes can really complicate things that is way more impactful and complex than some people think. He was struggling like he said. He owned it mostly, could have handled some things better but still was pissed at not feeling wanted. Life is messy for all involved.
Good luck, thanks for the years of entertainment and hope when the dust settles you retire a Blue Bomber where you belong.
Oh and ps Argos suck.
Well said. It is crappy situation all around but it sounds like the team had reason not to trust the AH would be 100% ready for this season AND AH had reason to feel hurt by the way the team handled trying to sign him again.
That article didn't come off a as a one-sided hit piece to me at all.

Sad to see Darvin and Harris go, but it had to happen eventually.
Darvin isn't the receiver he once was, but he was still a hell of blocker and great guy to have on the team. Made some big plays when it counted in the 2019 and 2021 playoffs. Nice finish for him in blue and gold catching the game winning TD in the cup.
Harris clearly struggled with injuries last year but looked great when on the field. Too bad they couldn't work out a deal but had to move on to younger guys at some point. He no longer had to be the focal point of the O with Collaros around. For a few years he carried the team, but the team improved enough that he didn't have to carry them anymore. Wish him good luck in TO and glad he's not playing in the West.

They did not not give him a signing bonus so signing bonus is taxed at a much lower rate so had to compensate for that
How is a signing bonus taxed at a lower rate? Is that a US thing?

Just want to add to my post... Huff spends big bucks on Noodle Arm & Jake Maier. And he lets his left tackle go to free agency. The first big one was Stanley Bryant in 2015 & now Ucambre Williams. Not saying Williams will become another Stanley Bryant but what's the point of paying their qb big bucks & they don't have anyone watching his backside. It makes no sense as left tackle (for a right handed qb) is usually the anchor position on the OL.
Didn't they sign Dennis again? I assume that's who they are going with at LT

I wonder if you see us try and get someone like Ellingson as a veteran or if we’re just prepared to make Bailey the vocal leader of this group and roll with two rookies.
Could be plan to roll with rookies but seems risky. Management could think that Woli is ready to take the next step and be a feature guy too.

Is that Bob announcing Darvin is back or encouraging him to come back?

I am not sure I would call them rumours TBH. More like verbally expressed thoughts.
Kenny Lawler should leave us if it is for 250k. We simply cannot compete with that offer. They will have a super stacked WR group no doubt about that.
I can't imagine Williams asking for less than 250k.
The Stampeders got a great deal for Begelton.
What the hell? I don't remember the knee injury at all. Is it possible he injured himself after the Grey Cup?
Just glad he is coming back, if true.
I think it happened on the last play, might have even been during the celebration on the INT.

Brandon Alexander is the most important DB he has basically become a coach on the field. Need that strong communication in the secondary.
Totally agree. One of the Hallett bros could be a decent safety, but BA is what makes the D elite.

I'm 2/3 there. Do I get a prize? Before remote learning, I went from being a teacher to being a lawn care guy so I could keep myself and pregnant wife safe and to be able to see my parents. I've been literally on my death bed in ICU because of my condition before (when I was 24 no less), so I've been playing it pretty safe, especially since each of the 3 vax shots I've had are likely not super effective on me.
Not expecting the world to stop for people like myself, but just for people to be aware there are many people who can't "accept living with Covid" and have had really sh**y lives the past two years. When our hospitals are full and access to medical care is limited, that is the time to have restrictions that actually mean something.
Agreed that the conversation on here has been great. A lot of the drivel online is disgusting and not representative of the real population that actually has compassion and awareness.
Thanks for sharing. This must be incredibly stressful for you and your family. Don't have health problems myself, but have two kids under 5 (one born during the pandemic) and ya that 2 years have been tough. The kids are doing great, they don't know any different but my wife and I are going crazy with stress trying to manage covid risk and having to think about it for every little thing we do.

Trying to figure out what the endgame is going to be for this whole thing, and whether a certain segment of the population will ever feel comfortable again. I keep reading discourse online from fully vaccinated (and boostered) individuals that would like to lock everything down, mandate masks forever, etc. I get the idea that we want to reduce pressure on the hospitals, but isn't the science pretty clear that an otherwise healthy and fully vaccinated person is extremely unlikely to end up there? And if we think that unvaccinated folks are also the least likely to follow public health orders, what else can we do conceivably do at this point that is going to make any difference. Short of locking down until we vaccinate everyone, it feels to me like this is as good as it gets at this point.
I feel for teachers, but when I read things online like "THE GOVERNMENT IS SENDING US TO THE SLAUGHTER WITH NO PROTECTION!!!", I can't help but think "You have protection. It is called a vaccine and so far all the science says it is pretty damn good".
I get these thoughts but everyone isn't eligible for the vaccine yet. Kids under 5 namely. How many of those teachers have kids under 5, or kids with compromised immune systems, or elderly parents they take care of. We are going to have to learn to live with the virus, but basically nothing has been done to make schools safer (improved ventilation, etc.). The govt just put all eggs in the vaccine basket and didn't do anything else.
