I like Mack a lot but he's 5'10" and injury prone... That's concerning.

And without knowing what any of the contract details are for guys we signed, it's impossible to say we have no money. Could be a bunch on the '25 cap... Could be a bunch of Appearance Fee money... It's not time to whine just yet.

Mack is over 6 feet no?

I'd be happy bringing in one of Rhymes, Hardy, or White. Overpaying? Depends on the market. None of those guys are going to get Lawler money.

Sounds like Hardy re-signed in Ottawa unfortunately.

Rhymes would fit the need for a big outside receiver. I like what I've seen from Robustelli from Sask too. He could be ready to break out.

    Mack now available too

Yep, the litmus test will be free agency. If he does well, I'll change my tune. Until then, nope. Bringing Thomas & Hogan back as coaches is a big red flag for me.

Not sure about Logan. His SMS was reported at $107K. Obviously if Vaval comes back then we're looking for a PR player as injury insurance and development on an ELC.  Saving $26K on Logan not a big deal but we don't know if he's asking for more either. There will always be DB's, receivers looking to win a spot that includes depth as a returner.

Logan showed nothing at returner last year. Don’t see a need to pay him at all.

No real need for a backup American RB on the roster, better to find a DB or WR that can return if Vaval signs down south

Teams are using up what's left of the cap money from this season before January 1st. I'm hoping we still have some money left over for players we'd like back & not given to deadweight veterans who shouldn't be here. I'd like to see Sergio Castillo back for sure. But this is Kyle Walters our GM we're talking about. He's just as likely to sign him as to let him walk.

I have no idea what this means. Walters is just as likely to sign someone or let them walk? Every GM signs some guys and lets some walk. That’s how it works

anyway you slice it...an upgrade and we can only benefit from his hire...Hopefully he realizes he has a feature back to ride, as he tends to neglect the run and force the passing game, and based on BO comments I'm sure he would not have signed here yet...if at all if he didnt get some input and or re-assurance that Condell is gonna use him as the focal point of his offence...He was likely agreed as OC before BO...and Demski signed

Can't discount that he knows Zach too.

Hell maybe he'll bring Hardy with him as a bonus

Thing is...we dont really need a Canadian starter at SAM especially when we can getter production with an American...and for cheaper....I agree with your point tho about locking up top Canadians...and ones where they give you more value...at SAM...thats not one

Lawson can technically fill the lone Canadian spot we could need on defense if we go RB...2 RECIEVER...3 Oline guys again, tho with Shay and Smith let them take the Will and  go a DT with  Bailey as a rotate or a new draft pick/Canadian FA  and designate 2 on defence...actually use the Nationalized American for his allotted snaps and run 3 Import olineman or 4 import receivers

Should roll with 2 Cdns on D with a rotation of Lawson, Shay, Smith, Kramdi, with Bailey as a global too.

I'm a broken record about this but RB's are about 7th to 9th in terms of average salary paid by position in the NFL due to availability of replacement level talent and overall impact. Why are we going against a trend run by much smarter and wealthier football organizations? Don't tell me it's because he's Canadian. Yes Canadians get a premium in terms of salary, but a smart team should still be paying that premium at the impact positions based on the bigger, smarter NFL - Dline; WR's; all star OL; QB's if you have a unicorn Canadian star (hopefully we might). This was a decision to appease the fans who value the local community impact over good cap management.

    It's because he's Canadian

One only has to look at how Osh is handling Hogan. He knows the guy has a lot of shortcomings as a coach. That he isn't ready even after a year under fire as OC. He knows the players aren't happy either but that doesn't seem to matter to him.

The season for us ended 5 weeks ago. Other teams have announced coaching changes. Here we are still dicking around with the question of whether Hogan will be back or not & not a word fom our hea coach. My gut feeling is the longer this goes on, the chances of Osh keeping him  as OC  increases. If he was going to change OC, I believe we'd have known it by now. So, Osh says he needs to change the way he coaches but in the end, nothing seems to have changed.

Truth is you have no idea whether the team made the decision to move on from Hogan or not but ALL indications are that they have by actively interviewing other people for the job. Some arbitrary deadline you make up in your head doesn't mean anything.
