  1. Truth is you have no idea whether the team made the decision to move on from Hogan or not but ALL indications are that they have by actively interviewing other people for the job. Some arbitrary deadline you make up in your head doesn't mean anything.
  2. His plan of chuck it up for Lawler got figured out
  3. He talks about it but there's no number in that article. Doesn't want to be top 3, so all the means is less than $600K. Big difference between $450K and $590K
  4. Where did you see terms for Hatcher? The drop from Demski to the next Cdn receiver on the roster is miles
  5. Toronto announced theirs as Mike Miller already. He's going to be OC and call the plays. Haven't announced the rest of the staff though if that is what you mean.
  6. https://3downnation.com/2025/12/02/head-coach-mike-miller-to-also-be-offensive-coordinator-rest-of-toronto-coaching-rest-unclear/ Looks like he will also be the Argos OC and play caller. Lots to take on as a new head coach that wasn't even the OC last year.
  7. Big money for Philpot https://3downnation.com/2025/12/02/montreal-alouettes-make-tyson-philpot-highest-paid-canadian-receiver-in-cfl/ Per three-down league sources, the Delta, B.C. native has received a $100,000 signing bonus as part of $275,000 in hard money for 2026. He will earn $285,000 in hard money in 2027, which includes a $100,000 base salary guarantee.
  8. He has signed a two year extension. He just had an NFL out clause.
  9. Didn't Chris Jones quit during his contract for a better job?
  10. That doesn't make sense to me. OSH only had one year left. Why would any coordinator contract exceed the head coach in length.
  11. I’m just glad they aren’t ignoring the problem and are looking to improve
  12. Clercius didn't really take a step forward this year. Nield is fine depth but wouldn't want him starting.
  13. Bombers didn't have 45 free agents all wanting a raise after those years. Ya Sask greatly benefited from a healthy Harris this year. That isn't the norm for him either.
  14. I'm not arguing that ZC over Brown was for sure the right call at the time. What I disagree with is that it was a slam dunk that every team would have made the move to Brown. Zach had just thrown 33 TDs in 2023 and narrowly missed out being Winnipeg's MOP nominee. Was back to back MOP in 2021 and 2022. If Dru had one more year on his contract and played like that in 2024 while Zach struggled I'd agree with you.
  15. He didn’t even attempt a pass this year
  16. I’m not even saying that keep Zach over Dru was the right decision but this is too much. It was absolutely conventional to keep the QB who just won back to back MOPs over the back up that showed well. Rourke was established in BC before VAJ got there. Toronto and Montreal moved on from MBT and Faj not really comparable.
  17. This is crazy https://3downnation.com/2025/11/20/robbie-smith-remains-one-of-cfls-highest-paid-players-on-extension-with-edmonton-elks/
  18. Because we were talking about team's long term hopes at QB. My point is that only a couple of teams right now have a QB that they groomed over the long-term. Everyone else acquired a QB
  19. Ya Allen is going to get paid. I've always liked/hated Emilus. He'd be a nice add.
  20. You guys read that I said Alexander and Rourke? I don't count Dru because the Redblack didn't groom him.
  21. Like every team in the league the long-term hope at QB is the neg list. Not a lot of teams are grooming back-ups to take over. That's why we're still watching Bo, Zach, Faj, and Harris play. Only recent success there is Alexander and Rouke. I guess Kelly too for one and bit seasons.
  22. https://3downnation.com/2025/11/20/the-saskatchewan-roughriders-potential-2026-free-agent-list/ Quite the extensive list. I'm sure lots of guys will want to cash in on the championship success. Good luck keeping the band all together.
  23. Why the hell are we arguing about the 2024 cup right now. Toronto's D came in hot and would have diced up whoever played at QB. It doesn't matter.
  24. Yup, making the grey cup is hard. Can see why they would delude themselves that everything was working. Especially when two of the loses were 1 play away from wins. Kyle made a comment today that it is a lot easier to re-tool with 1 year contracts across the league. Maybe a sign we'll be players in free agency.
  25. Walters presser: Taylor Elgersma - sounds like he's waiting on an NFL futures contract for now. Window closes around Feb. Kyle expects if not then, then he will be expected up here. Ya he's acknowledged that last year wasn't good enough. 10 wins, but didn't beat most teams with their top QBs. Didn't beat Trevor Harris, VA, Alexander. Saying easier to do a quick fix with all the 1 year contracts across the league.
