Yup being a DB fan of the game, that was not pi imho. I would have been incensed if we were called on something like that. DD needed to call a challenge but hey he gave up on the game the last two minutes so don’t know where his head was at.

I was waiting for a challenge myself. Disagreed with the call myself.

You guys just broke TBerg's heart.

Ok fair enough. Just making a point that there are more factors to roster management than meets the eye of the fans. Sure MOS has also made some head scratching moves as well, but a lot of what we consider to be crazy is not viewed through a wider lens.

or... sometimes people can be really good at most parts of their jobs, and not so good at one specific portion of it.

Except that drive and passport are two completely different and unrelated things… @Mr. Perfect is correct that Kongbo was never spectacular here… his biggest contribution was providing competent reps so Willie and Jeffcoat could stay fresh… the question is not about what Kongbo was but what can he become given the opportunity… I think we’d all love to have him back but it’s not necessarily earth shattering

The point is that you have to consider all the things that a player brings.  Yes, passport (nationality) and physical assets are different, but both are what a player brings to the table.  And, I did agree with his first sentence, thus the suggestion that if only he had stopped there...

Unfortunate about Kongbo but not the end of the world. If it wasn't for his passport he'd be just another slightly above average pass rusher.

If you had only stopped at the end of the first sentence.  The problem is that you do have to take the passport into account because that's part of the whole package. Sort of like saying "If it wasn't for his drive, Milt would have been just another slightly above average receiver."

  5. Personally, I've really grown to hate the term "training camp fodder", even though I know I've used it in the past myself.  These are athletes chasing a dream and for them to be in camp means that the team sees something in them.  Sure, some guys might have a slim chance at making the team, but they're not fodder, they're taking their shot, and good luck to them..
