EDIT: tried to put the Argo's twitter video announcing our schedule in here (it's funny), it's a play on the general indifference to the CFL from many Torontonians. Thought you like the chuckle, but apparently I can't post imbed a twitter or a video.

Well, hundreds of thousands of families who need it will never qualify. We have universal health care but we can't have universal pharmacare & dental. Singh & Trudeau go on about how this is a generational change. Most families will never see it. A couple with jobs each paying $45-50,000 a year isn't much after inflation & taxes.
I am surprised you are advocating expanding the dental initiative- good on you. I agree- its a start, but we need to further with it.
I also agree that we need a national pharmacare policy- the MB one sucks. income of 90k with 3 dependents has a deductible of almost 6k. That is too much. a family income of 60k nets you a deductible of 3k... still too much.

hmmmm well it doesn't look like Streets of Rage will change much except for the graphics, Golden Axe intrigues me a bit

The title I was looking most forward to was Shinobi... until I caught a peek at the in production game... looks like garbage.
Golden Axe though- that looks pretty cool.

Laurent's performance is already on the downside with his age. He'd be way too expensive. There will be better choices.
Love Teddy, but yeah, he is not what we need right now.

Which players stood out in the Grey Cup for you outside of Brady? Willie and maybe Lawler.... anyone else?
That's not what we are talking about.
I am taking umbrage with you painting the entire team (sans Brady) as "going through the motions". That is shitty talk right there. You can isolate different players and certain plays and all that- this is a discussion forum and all... but man, to say that our team didn't give a great effort? You cheapen their accomplishments.

Outside of Brady it felt like the team as a whole was just going through the motions.
oof, that is a bad take.
This here, shows exactly what a spoiled and entitled fanbase looks like.

This makes a case for signing those vets who still have to win a cup.

You don't think having the Jeff's bookending him would a good thing?...he would excel here in that situation
Good point.

Successful because of those around him.

If we poach anyone from the Arblows defensive front 4, it better be Dewayne Hendrix - underrated beast. He tears off faces in the shadows.

Help us sign other guys. The fact that he's not worth that much (no QB is right now in the CFL with how much the overall cap is)
Ok, I see your point, but I respectfully disagree.
He put up very good numbers all year. And performed at a crazy high level... nothing in his play screams 17% pay cut.
If anything... you go along that defense and you take a bit off of everyone that was on that last Als drive, to make that 100k savings.

Does Zach need to tale a pay cut from $600,000 to say $550,000 or $500,000?
What would the reason be?

Are you suggesting that Montreal were so lights out on D that Zach gets a pass on his performance?
You better check your stats before you **** all over Zach.

I remember an interview OSH gave with the media after LaPolice was re-hired in 2016. It was noted that he had two former head coaches on his staff now, and didn’t that cause him some concern for his job (especially after the bad 2015 season and more than a few fans calling for his head) that there were two ready replacements to step in easily and take over, as opposed to hiring underlings at co-ordinaries who weren’t a threat to his job security? His comment essentially was that it was the opposite - he wanted the best minds possible and the most experience possible, and the best thing for his job security was to surround himself with the smartest and most competent people around to help him so that the team could be the best it could be, rather than sabotage the team success by hiring lesser people out of some misguided need to protect himself. THAT, he said, was the quickest way to find himself in the unemployment line. He wanted the best collection of ideas working with him and challenging him to being the best product out on the field, and it would be silly to be intimidated by it and try to silence that input and ignore that creativity in the hopes that it would give him a safety net for his job.
I rememebr reading that too... after reading that I was all:
