By most accounts that I've seen, he was a democrat. He was loud and proud about his patriotism, but he was less conservative than most people thought.
Rolling stone had an interesting article about that very same thing.

It's fair to say they're the team to beat.
But if you're making a standing prediction, is it your honest opinion that Montreal will finish 1st in the East? Because it isn't mine.
My Dark Horse prediction (in 4 months before the start of the season) for the East- ALLCAPS. That's where my money would go right now.

According to CFL Nation, Argos management has a plan. What the plan is nobody knows...
Well, one thing that helps the argos is having John Murphy digging up players he is the CFL talent scout equivalent of a truffle pig. The guy is a tremendous talent scout, but has a personality of said truffle pig. The argos will still bring in great talent into the league, they will be fine.
Side note... every time I see a pic of Murphy, I am ALWAYS reminded of Pvt. Lawrence's final scene in Full Metal Jacket.

Is it weird to go 16-2 and then rebuild?
We so far have lost the league's best Cover LB, DB (and maybe the 2nd best as well), Kicker, Import RB and Returner...
Damn, FA hasn't even started yet...
No kidding, 16-2 and then complete overhaul.
I don't get it

Genuinely curious - why??
BO is good- granted. I think he was also the benefactor of an offense designed around him, a commitment to running the ball and an Oline that has a powerful run aspect to it. I think you put Stanback, Brown or Karey in that offence, I feel any one of them would have churned out more yard from scrimmage.
Now factor in the savings- either one of those three, probably could be had for less than $150k- a savings of ~$90k. That is a good chunk of change for other areas of need.
Also, I think Stanback would have been a really good fit here- I think his running style fits the Bombers Identity best.
I do like the hometown hearo story line and he is genuinely a good egg. BUt if its team first- I think flipping the rb to import would be the way to go. Just my opinion.

Wow, what a way to kick off the day! I'm absolutely pumped that Brady's sticking around! My health has been taking a major hit lately and I've been feeling at an all-time low, this news is like a touchdown for my spirit, I haven't felt this fired up since November
Sorry to hear about that man, Hope things get better soon.

Something tells me they still manage to sign Schoen. If they can’t I think signing the Canadian RB over an American WR is the better call. Much easier to unearth another American WR. But I still have faith they get it done.
Agree with the bolded- but I was hoping to flip the RB position and go Import...

Love Roadhouse, butvifbhe is asking for 300k, I am ok with moving on.
That is going to be a stupid cap cap hit for us... rookie contract to 300k... ouch.

For what its worth the Bomber store still has Schoen jerseys but no Oliveiras.
I take that as a good sign that Roadhouse will be back.
Or that most people see BO coming back a sure thing and Schoen not so much, so they invest in Bomber merch accordingly?

Outlier maybe Mtl, but I think they may make an offer well below the others....
I think the als will gun for BO- they resigned Antwi and shed Stanback- looks like this would be the way they are going- National @ RB.

I like the Kolo, signing... cheap and effective. He would for sure be a starter on a few other teams... that low contract coupled with average started skill level are awesome trade bait.

They probably should have went with Princess Auto Field as that actually does sound better than stadium. Maybe even Princess Auto Center Then we could call it the PAC like 2pac and that sounds gangsta for sure.
Agreed, the PAC sounds badass- the PAS, reminds everyone that the pas exists... which is no good for anyone really.
Total missed opportunity.

Odd, I never got that... from all I have read about him, his politics seemed more complicated and nuanced than that.
I think he held some very strong libertarian ideals too... and many Republican ideals...
