I mean on the football side, the sellouts, a successful Grey Cup (on the business side), their work around Orange Shirt Day, the Rum Hut and the Flag Football clinics in schools with Alexander were all really good work. Hard to fault Miller.

I'm not mad about losing guys in free agency. Every team loses critical players. The issue is that we don't even TRY new guys out and declining vets are given zero competition. Guys like Singer ONLY get a chance if injuries occur. I don't follow the league as tightly as I used to, but when I watch other teams play they always have a large amount of guys I've never heard of before in the line up. Some work out, some don't but at least they rotate and continously try to improve the roster. I refuse to believe that they absolutely can't find guys willing to come up and play in Winnipeg.

Yup, he went from limited practice on Tuesday (hip issue) to not practicing at all on Thursday. Not too big a surprise but that doesn't make it any better.

Absolutely awful Smith is hurt. He's been such a good player. Also, is Wilson actually healthy? Cause sticking him out wide makes me wonder. Though still nice that it only took until what? Week 18 to start more than 2 Americans at skill positions.

Speaking of Condell.....I'd really like to see the stats on the formation where they empty the backfield and put brady as the field side WR. That might be one of the dumbest formations to use throughout a season. I get using it as a one off situation. But Condell seems convinced that the best player on O doesn't need to be close to the ball. He's essentially going 11 Vs 11 without his best player in that formation. GAWD I hate it!!!

Kelly’s actually been pretty good the last couple of games and looked good early on in his career before the injuries. Serviceable player in my opinion.

If you look at how inactive we are, compared to other teams, when it comes to scouting guys and adding them to the neg list, I don't think it's a matter of player not want to come, and more that they just aren't even being given a chance. There is definitely a vibe of "we're happy with who we have so that's who we're rolling with". Every other team is far more active in looking for/bringing in new talent and it's maddening watching other teams actively trying to get better while we stand pat, for the most part. There's a social media account that track neg list movement and they have a really helpful website where you can see what every team is doing. They recent added a feature that gives a bit of a scouting profile on players so you can kind of get an idea of who might be in the pipeline or what kind of player we're looking for. https://cfl-negotiation-list.fyi/

Dobson is 100x better at OG than Wallace who quite frankly needs to go and one never knows if we move him to Centre but even if we don't he represents a massive upgrade. Broxton is likely either not signed and we use the money elsewhere to strengthen, or is signed at LT and we make the hard decision on the GOAT. If it is the latter our OL is pretty damn good. Ford is an allstar calibre NAT db. Not even going to discuss how valuable he would be. C'mon....And Lawler is a ton better than White but having Ford in the secondary would allow us to have both. Probably not much different since Broxton is hardly a nobody at RT and Dobson didn't play centre here either.... We'd still have old man stan at LT with whatever random centre osh decided he liked... So is Dobson better at guard than Wallace? Hard to say. Would Ford look good in the secondary? Sure, but not like the guys they're using NOW are bad. Major Williams has been a major find. Yup..took words right outta my mouth as I was making my post..we ain't tied to him by any means...if we miss playoffs this yr..which is a real possibility still..after the hoopla of our big FA signings...he should be canned right after the season ends. That will be 5 yrs in a row of regression... Why not? Good organizations make the tough decisions...if we have a new coach next yr do u think we will become the redblacks? There is one out a team can use..we havnt...plus if he is punted we only on hook for salary if he not hired elsewhere. So if a fan can spot the recipe for success in how KW needs to build his roster....why can't KW. Just saying. If MOS is not great with young guys, take them out of the equation and go back to what worked. What won championships. It's not a hard concept. Build a team to the strengths of your coach, not to his weaknesses. I'm not trying to excuse MOS for his shortcomings, they are apparent and real, but when provided a certain type of roster he has proven he can succeed. Go back to that. We both know that MOS isn't going anywhere. He's locked in. Therefore, quit trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Somewhere along the line KW decided that we were going to let talent walk and replace through recruitment. We see now that this was a colossal mistake.

Nobody here knows a ******* thing about who's involved in what, but many pretend to, in order to craft a version of reality that fits their narrative.

Not to mention, Zach loves to hold the ball and try for deep shots, and is not quick mechanically to get the ball out. He really has to put in max effort to get velocity on the ball now, which has greatly hurt his ability to get it away. Mechanically, he's the anti-Danny Mac. But the outcome is almost the same as late-career Mac. Elsbury isn't worse than Kolo, imo, but he might not be better than any other C in the league. Which, going from old Kolo to a young Imp on the interior of the OL, is mind-boggling. You have to work hard to suck at replacing a guy that bad. It falls on basically everyone on O. From the system to OL to QBs to WRs, even Brady has struggled more this year in pass pro than ever before. When you make good players struggle at something they've been great at for a long time, you've really messed up. The sad thing is that doesn't get all the way into how bad our pass pro has been this year. 2.5 sacks per game against us vs. BC, giving up 2 sacks per game; vs. Sask, giving up 1.4 sacks per game. But the pressures and hits are what really separate us from even other basement-dwelling teams. We will almost certainly end up giving up more than 200 hits and hurries this year, and 45-50 sacks on top of that. Maksymic isn't reinventing the wheel over in Edmonton, and he doesn't have some insane talent set on offence. He's giving Cody easy, quick decisions and not letting the D dictate with pressure. He's running a balanced attack really well. If Maksymic had ended up here and TC in Edmonton, we would be in the battle to win the West.

When u have a 600k qb who can't climb the pocket..have escapability and essentially turtles when any threat of pressure is in his face..u generally are bottom of league in that stat..not saying our line is great by any means but not as bad as they seem..victims of what i said..some horrible schemes and weakest center in league who I dont think is making the right calls..let alone recognizing fronts and blitzers to make call outs Never thought with the dumping of kolo that in 2026 we be even worse at center...but here we are and we just keep banging our head against wall thinking that after 14 games hed be better...if anything he has regressed as teams have ample film on him and know all his deficiencies...but he got big legs according to Osh so we good

yup takes a man to be a man...good on him And agree his analysis and breaking down of what's going on...almost as it happens is top notch. He knows what he is talking about and can explain it to fans in a way that they can grasp, and isnt dumbed down. Compare him to Suitor and its like a 3rd grader vs a College Grad. And Lapo too is totally finding his groove. Best thing TSN has done is bring these guys into the fore front and it only will help with new fans in my opinion. Condell was just about the most pathetic hire any CFL team could have possibly made at this point in any role since John Huard is already dead. Nobody that has ever worked or played under that guy has anything good to say. You can tell how they are walking on egg shells with the media. He's a ******* ******* with zero self-awareness as a coach. I would have gambled on Hogan having some time to reflect and improve on Year 1 as a play caller in the league over Condell.
