  1. Yeah this hot take needed its own thread…

  2. Pretty big news already being discussed in other threads

  3. No one making a decision based on logic would look at zach and want to replace arbuckle with him for next year. But the guy who thinks jake and kola are replaceable could do any thing. torontos qb coach, not our teams coach.

  4. Osh as a g.m woukd drag us back to the depths of reinbold...Mack...hell to the no

  5. Based on this season, I don't ZC is much better than Arbuckle. Arbuckle played some decent ball and is pretty low on the list of Argos' concerns.

  6. MOS thinks highly of intangibles. Both he and Dave Ritchie were/are like that. In their eyes, the veteran leadership, been there done that element, is just as important as on field contributions. They have both said this in interviews. My question about this approach over the last couple season, would be this: you're got Collaros, Bryant and Neufeld - shouldn't that be adequate? Why is there this need to start inferior veterans? Also, which one is the bigger factor - philosophy or complacency? Just my 0.02 - I know I won't get any answers.

  7. I do not wish for him to leave but if there is a time it might be now as they are in need of a retool and he has already overseen one but not sure he can do it again.

  8. If Montreal wins, that will mean every season since 2018 the Bombers either won the Cup or was knocked out by the team that won the Cup: 2018 - Calgary 2019, 2021 - Winnipeg 2022-24 lost the Cup 2025 - Mtl?

  9. Yes I agree that Oshea's roster management is his worst quality so let's promote him to the job of managing the roster in the offseason too.

  10. What in Christ's good name are you talking about? Writing on the wall? 1 year contracts? He's never signed less than a 3 year deal....

  11. He didn’t play D, he got in on teams. Didn’t build him up into any one. Doesn’t play any thing like biggie and never said he did or that he would be biggie. Can’t not play a guy and say he’s a miss. Also, I said one of many cases. Got a link to any thing saying he was a cancer? I’m betting the source will be “trust me bro”

  12. Where's the report JJ was a cancer

  13. Ah. 💡 If I can read Wikipedia right, Mike Miller is the guy who oversaw the development of the sex pest and Arbuckle. That seems like a pretty good guy to have if you're looking at needing to develop a QB as we need to be. Jarious Jackson ran a pretty great O in Edmonton in 2024 -- he had MBT on a serious roll. Too bad for him his defense had negative clutch. Would be happy to see him get a promotion.

  14. Mike Miller Toronto QB coach, not our current ST coach.

  15. I will guarantee they don't. All people see is "Competitive team every single year that went to the GC every year from 2019 to 2024 and one of the greatest Leaders Of Men in league history".... Also: Took a franchise from the depths of hell to a GC in about 5 years. Everyone wants that.

  16. It's completely this. He has earned the opportunity to choose his own destiny. Everyone around the league knows he's the absolute top option in the CFL, and would give him whatever the hell he wants. I'm just not sure Toronto can offer him anything that we can't, aside from "physically closer to North Bay"... So it's a matter of where he wants to live at this point. We can offer the same money... The same freedom to do what he wants... Does he want a new challenge? Does he want continuity? Is Walters planning on staying and they want to keep this thing going, or does Walters situation (staying or going) have some impact on Osh's decision? I am curious what Wade's take on all this is. Maybe Wade comes in and says "a bunch of **** needs to change around here" and Pinball says "You are free to do whatever you want..." And THAT'S the clincher?? Time will tell...

  17. I'm not a die hard MOS hater, but every coach's time comes to an end sometime. Team has steadily declined the last few years. MOS's time might be now.

  18. Not if we promote Younger to head coach.

  19. Wow I read that differently the first glance...

  20. 💯... Anything is going to be a downgrade for sure. But we have to be prepared for that... And pray for the best.

  21. So who do we think Hogan will pick as his assistants? I am betting on Thomas for DC in a dual role.
    2 points
  22. He’s gone imo. Pinball will offer him the world and likely make him assistant GM. And im actually more than ok with it. Coaches have a shelf life. The team has gotten old and stale. Ive grown beyond tired of his arrogant smugness. Ive pretty much hated his brain dead gameday rosters/player usage and his in-game decision making for years now. Time for a change/new blood.
    2 points
  23. I figure the arrogant Osh will end up in Toronto and it may be a good thing for the Bombers. Their cup run is done and time for new blood to lead the squad. I am forever grateful for what he did for this club but it is not the worst time for a change.

  24. What I was trying to say in my clumsy way was that if the Bombers wanted O'Shea to stay they would of re signed him already but by letting the Argos talk to him at this early stage they wouldn't mind if the Argos offered him a GM/HC role with money that the Bombers would not be inclined to give him.

  25. That would give me Bill Belichick vibes .. great coaches but abysmal personnel guys.

  26. Not like they had a real choice. His contract is ending so they could delay it temporarily or allow it. It would probably ruffle some feathers if they deny the permission.

  27. Shoot up with BPC 157...TB 500...only a week but if just a minor lil twinge could make all the difference Guys use this alot pre/post surgery and for a lot of muscle/lig strains..pulls etc Id be all over that if I was on Als staff...but im not 😆

  28. Stay...or go...we be fine...and there are a lot of good younger up and comers in the league...joe fan tho isnt acutely aware of tho What was Osh when we signed him..a name as a player...as a couch.. pretty much zero experience...was given a st coordinator role but had zero positional coaching experience or any other for that matter...most will agree that turned out well...started bad..almost ended before the good occurred.. and is reverting to bad..stale..redundant...and that's what happens...especially after 12 seasons..and easily predictable...Ossh showed he was stubborn...bordered on arrogant and at times oblivious to the team... He valued some things over talent...but unlike Ritchie who had a similar trait..albeit more vet over whatever it was Osh sees but Coach Ritchie also valued talent...and had the x and o acumen to facilitate things...Osh lacks that and history shows us without top notch coordinator around him..hes a bit of a dud with his bad traits compound it Miller is a smart guy and knows what kind of guy to hire..Inhave no worries..If Osh wants to poach a coach have at er..some need to go..the ones that need to stay...they will stay..u can bet on it...we don't need a house clean..Just a few key spots need to be expunged... I heard a few interesting things the other day...if i able to substantiate it I will share Yeah in several instances we kept the wrong vets...and valued others where that should have went to some who walked

  29. O'Shea for all his faults is not (entirely) stupid. He has to know that his track record for the past 3 seasons was damning and if he wasn't going to be fired this year,, given his personality, it would be next. There is a saying that if you are at the edge of a cliff, if is better to jump than be pushed- you have a better choice of where you land. I an and have been convinced for some time that O'Shea's time here was done as he had become a liability. I am waffling about Walters. If he was privately dissatisfied with O'Shea and was engaged in a lost-lose-lose power struggle with O'Shea, then perhaps, with O'Shea gone, he can right the ship. My gut says that was likely the case. Nonetheess, if he leaves, clearing the decks might not be a bad idea. Sempre avanti!

  30. Goalie

    Around the NHL 2025-26

Right. It was Pick 39 2nd rd pick. Salo was pick 55 also 2nd rd. Salo played pro last year tho. Believe this is Freijs first pro year.

  31. Are we all talking about the same Mike Miller.....?

  34. My issue with all of that is nobody here has ANY idea who's to blame for any of it... It's absolutely possible that all the problems are Oshs fault as Booch insists... But we really don't know who's making what decisions. At the end of the day, the biggest problem might be that Osh is giving people too much freedom and he needs to take charge again.
    1 point
  35. I agree of course, to do otherwise would be to revise history. But what happened in 2024 and 2025, leaves me just a bit hesitant. Some decisions were simply baffling.

  36. You might be right, but Father Time is always undefeated.

  37. I am not sure who's to blame and I'm not going to pretend I am. I just think some might think twice and take a closer look, before hiring him.

  38. The current state of the Bombers OL/DL might put a 'pause' on some of those opinions.

  39. Whatever decision O’Shea makes is fine with me. It’s his life not mine. He’s free to go or free to stay, either way I hope the decision is made quickly. Maybe he calls a press conference and says he’s taking his talents to the big smoke. Who knows. He’s earned his right to choose. just hope we know sooner rather than later. I think if he goes we could see some significant changes here. Like I could see Zach to Toronto. I really could.

  40. Well to really dissect the overall situation of the argos my detailed analysis is that they suck.

  41. Regardless of catch or not, for the record tho it’s a good catch in the history books but BC had I’m gonna say 2 maybe 3 chances to pretty much get 1 2 first downs and they win and can run out the clock. They didn’t. They then gave up 73 yards in about 35 seconds to lose the game. I’ve heard Osh and all coaches say your O needs to bail out your D at times and vice versa. Well, BCs O failed as did their D. 73 yards in 40 seconds is inexcusable

  42. Oh it absolutely touched the ground but the arm was under it and he had control, more or less... I'm not incensed about the call by any means.... And that says a lot, coming from me...

  43. 50/50 if MOS stays or goes. Either way, I think Costanza in any capacity (preferably OC) would be a great hire. He’s had nothing but success wherever he’s been. Jackson HC, Costanza OC could be interesting. I would assume MOS would take Younger with him if he goes to TO.

  44. If he leaves, we have to be timely in our actions. We can't wait till shortly before FA to finalize things.
    1 point
  45. It's true, he would try out more guys mid-season, was more willing to give up on favorites who didn't perform, and he didn't just tie canadians down to STs roles. I'd add as well that he used to coach to win, would whip out a few smart trick plays through out the year, and would challenge more. Even if the challenge was to back up a player, or to make the refs look at a problematic area they weren't calling, even if it wouldn't be over turned. At each step, success has made him softer.

  46. I'm going with my heart on this one instead of my head. My head says Alexander coming up lame in the ESF is probably going to mean a 5th stripe. My heart says F**k the Riders.

  47. I would ask JT you still want to play next year? JT’s answer: Yup that’s the plan, I still feel like I contribute. Based on that answer I would then ask MOS I heard JT wants to come back next year and play. What’s your thoughts? MOS’s answer: Excellent, looking forward to what he continues to bring to our club. Based on that answer my next call is to Pinball Clemons letting him know how MOS is ready to become your new GM and head coach.

  48. Hard to call the Bombers a dynasty when there is a good chance Toronto and Montreal both end up with the same amount of cups in the same time period. What a missed opportunity. We should have had 4.
    1 point
  49. I don’t think he will get both, they’d a kept dinwiddie at that imo. He might get agm or hc and teams co etc Only positives i can think of are, Maybe he loves pinball? Maybe he wants to be captain save a hoe to toronto? Maybe he feels the walls closing in here and wants to escape before it really hits the fan. (this could be as much internal and rebuild related as any thing) I know his immediate family live here but maybe he wants to be closer to old friends and extended family? All pretty soft reasons imo. I like several pieces toronto has, but they are also past their peak by a good bit and need a heavy re tool. Delving into our fa offerings like hamilton isn’t likely to help much either. plus jake, and hallet. they can sign kramdi as well in fa
