I wrote this because the team has gone away from what worked in the 19 Cup win and we saw it tonight with Calgary's dline. When a qb doesn't have the time to throw chances are the other team will win. Collaros has no time to set his feet . We can all agree he is not the player he once was however we didn't win the cup in 19 because of him. It was the defense setting the tone. Making plays Did anyone not see the Eagles demolish Mahomes Signing Thomas so early meant our dline was going to be the same and it sucks

To me, this is such low level judging of the game. Of course we didn’t lose because of two singles. We lost because of continuous poor coaching, including the coaching choice to give up those two singles. this stuff isn’t happening in a vacuum but we continually watch our coaching staff make poor decision after poor decision after poor decision

I swear Hogan has no concept of situational football

Any single one of their receivers on Jake Kelly or whoever we play at field corner is a bad time. I'm hoping Cam Allen comes on. Kelly might be better off at field corner just given the task of managing the deepest outside route instead of trying to read into backfield and make decisions. He kept stopping his feet then trying to recover which was 3 deep balls, two catches, one for TD and his PI. Athletically I think Kelly is a good prospect (yeah he's in year 3) but the processing clearly isn't there yet at game speed. The most egregious roster management issue is that we're forcing a guy like Kelly out there when we only really need to play one Canadian on D. The DL guys don't kill us as much as is talked about, but putting a guy out there to just be a mark for the opposition in the secondary is not good. We've dressed 3 American LB's (aside from T Jones) to take about 70 reps in the past two games on D between them. That's a bit less than half the snaps on D. But we're dressing a secondary with no backups aside from our primary returner (who is not an outstanding nor experienced CFL DB) and using two Canadians in the secondary when we only need 1 on the entire D based on the number of Canadians we're starting on O. So....beef up the OL with Americans, bring in another receiver/playmaker...beef up the secondary or interior DL with an American. We can easily do two of these things. It's crazy how we're utilizing (or not) our American roster spots.

They built a great team. As it’s aged they haven’t replaced a multitude of all-star players. Then it’s death by a million paper cuts with assignments being missed down after down, no spectacular plays and silly decisions around scoring or giving up points just piling on to the struggle.

Well and if you insist on Canadians at dl, then don't waste time with a Canadian in the secondary. If you want a Canadian safety then all American on DL and get a ferocious bunch who can terrorize a qb.

The 2 singles aren't a big deal IMO, the complete lack of offense in the 2nd half though.... yeah that's a problem. Also giving away big plays for free on D.

1. Hogan is no Hero....crappy playcalls, crappy design......and crappy execution. Stamps made adjustments.....we did squat. In that 2nd half, O played not to lose....and we of course, lost 2. Pass pro on key downs....or should we say no pass pro. Getting a bit over the hill, here... 3. Lack of playmakers on O.....receiving corps is subpar, terrible situational play, in route running and blocking. Brady can't do it all by himself.... DHM: Coaching. No 2nd adjustments. Can't give away points in a tight game.... Secondary. Worked by the long ball...

30-40 yards passing in a half will not put you in the win column vs most teams. Neither will squandering a 17 point lead with out answer. we found ways to lose, many of them. Including in the passing game. Zach, and the passing attack was entirely dependant on dropping it off to Brady and hoping he could shoulder all the load of the offense.

Best case scenario; demote or fire hogan promote Jackson. I think un officially making that change behind closed doors is most realistic. Move on from kola, by hook or by crook. get pookie back from the nfl Make some thing happen at qb. We need a shake to the roster. Doesn’t mean starter has to change but we need some one to push our guys. Faj*,mbt etc. get rid of Jake, dress woods and adams. dump atleast one ar lber di. stop playing dbs that only provide a handy cap to the D. Take the team back to boot camp. Practice and week of prep needs to be competitive and demanding. No more old boys club, no more vet days, no more practices that are just walk throughs. You will never get a D to be physical and tackle well with slack ass prep. Same goes for skill players on offence blocking.

You can't let a guy like Lawler walk and not replace him.

This season was over before even started the moment we signed Jake Thomas in January well before free agency. He sucks Brings absolutely nothing to the team The money they used on him could have gone to an impact player we let walk away

A view from the cheap seats at McMahon. Actually the cheap seats turned into pretty good ones at the 40 yard line. (lots of empty seats to move to): A very promising start was followed by a disheartening finish. I didn't see much in the way of adjustments by the Bombers coaching staff. Calgary's staff made enough to win the game. How much rope does Hogan have? Officiating left a lot to be desired. The Bombers were a little undisciplined at times (especially special teams) but I thought the stripes were wearing red. When Demski is the go to guy for long passes, we are in trouble! Mitchell looks smaller than his roster height listing. Even Wheatfall looks like a waif out there. Receivers look tiny and slow. DBs looked tiny and slow beside the Stamps receivers. Wait a minute, they were hardly beside the Stamps receivers. The wind was a factor in the 4th quarter so the Bombers' tall foreheads got that decision right and it almost worked. There's more to be said but it was very discouraging. Third place.....maybe. Is a crossover playoff spot a possibility? I don't think there'll be a home playoff game so there will be revenue missed. Maybe it'll be a wakeup call for Miller and he'll start the ball rolling on making changes.

Castillo hits a career-long 63 yarder just to watch the D give up 30 yards in 20 seconds. Swiss cheese when the game was on the line. So predictable. Hogan - dogshit Kelly - what a debut for all the wrong reasons Receivers - high school level HH: refs. that 45 yard swing phantom call on Jones was bruuuuutal. Osh does a lot of things wrong, but he was right on that one. Even Suitor, the world's biggest Riders homer even admitted that maybe the calls were against the Bombers. That's how you know the scales were tipped. That was some typical CFL incompetence on full display.

And I’d suggest that it’s unfair to judge the receivers when the offensive scheme itself is terrible and does them no favours whatsoever. Not saying we are overly talented there but when your OC is in over his head, it’s hard to be successful.

It’s such a trash schedule. Constant re matches, divisional series over early in the year, 11 week no byes after 2 in 3 weeks.

I think he’s having a pretty good game. On pace for 300 yards and most importantly no turnovers, they’re clearly trying to get rid of the ball quick to keep him upright.

Yeah, hoping they fall in love with his arm talent and intangibles. Imo his intangibles are stand out in the us. Hard to find a qb with a good head on his shoulders at that level with strong talent. Maybe they feel like he’d be worth seeing how he looks after a year of coaching as he will likely get more out of it than most guys. A lot of QBs that sit pr don’t do much or get much of a shot. And don’t deal well with that reality. I think his not needing to adjust to the Canadian game up here so much as adjust to the game speed could give him an inside track after a year of pr coaching down south. And boy could we use hitting the lotto on a guy like him. Yep. Could’ve traded Zach for actual assets, kept brown, and signed an elite free agent for the price difference. Sickening.
