Around The League Regular Season Discussion

Per @JDunk12: Esks, Riders talking trade. EDM wants No. 1 pick Josiah St. John AND a first for QB James Franklin. SSK, coherently, declined.

Ed Hervey vs. Chris Jones is going to be a real thing to keep your eye on over the coming weeks and months.

To reach for two first round picks, including No. 1 overall, in return for a back-up QB with a handful of pro starts is... hilarious, really

Since his youth Bulcke has had an aversion to the circus and especially clowns ...

Constantly injured... not sure he would provide much value to us, depending on salary expectations... certainly he's not an upgrade on Shologan or Thomas.

When it comes to contributions to the team vs public recognition, Jake Thomas might be the most underrated player in the league.

I'd agree with this. The things he does consistently is what we call, 'player' made the tackle, Thomas made the play.

Angry clowns scare me too. :D

Bulcke might be a good pickup in a month or six weeks for a team in the hunt and wanting insurance.

PLAYER DISCIPLINE – WEEK 8

Grant and Mitchell fined following Week 8

Friday, August 19, 2016 — TORONTO (August 19, 2016) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today:

Calgary Stampeder Bakari Grant was fined for an illegal low block on Saskatchewan Roughrider Justin Cox.

Calgary Stampeder Bo Levi Mitchell was fined for violating the League’s social media policy.

As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed.

Wonder how the league got Bulcke onboard for their anti-roughrider conspiracy. Riders should investigate the CFL for paying him under the table.

I see Ronnie Yell was dinged $3,000 for wearing Nike cleats! This must be some sort of conspiracy against Ronnie.

That's probably the same reason Durant was fined for a "uniform violation".

Probably something along those lines...or something he wore on the sidelines perhaps. That falls under the league's policy as well.

I believe I read that Yell wears a different kind of shoes than is league-sponsored and didn't cover up the logo, which you have to do lest a TV camera catch it...

Trevor Harris will start for #Redblacks Thursday. Per Tim Baines

In light of this Eric Martin signing, a couple other guys with NFL experience that fans should keep in mind are Denarius Moore and Austin Pettis.

Which positions do they play?

PS I really think this guy will be in the lineup sooner rather than later

He's almost an ideal CFL defensive end.

They are both receivers.

Moore spent time with the Raiders and Pettis played for both the Rams and the Chargers.
