Other than that unnecessarily stupid holding call on the Perkins touchdown run? No wonder he's not the starting center

I finally had a quiet evening that allowed me to fully watch the game on PVR and rewind and rewatch many of the plays.

Whoever said that we are screwed without Zach is a troll and needs to be kick/banned. My god was he awful tonight. NIGHT and DAY difference between him and Harris. Harris had a lot of blitzes and pressures on him and was able to find a hot read and/or get the ball out quickly. Zach is glacially slow on his reads , he had what 4 sacks on him in the first half alone?

It feels like the ratio is 5 bad plays for every 1 good play. Lots of lame ducks and passes that are off the mark or thrown a second too late. What the hell is going to happen "if" we are deep in the play offs and he has to play in wind, his passes are already off with good weather.

Brown came in and on his 2nd throw he was pressured and he immediately tossed it to Singer for a big gain. That throw alone was better then anything Zach did all night. I think at this point Perkins would outperform Zach. I also did not catch why he left the game? He didn't take a big hit, was it his head?

All I know is that without Brady this team would be f''''''''''''''d.

kramdi was horrible at S every game this year save for tonight. It’s not an out dated take. He has improved significantly each year other wise, and been very solid the last two ish years. He’s still exploitable if you get him in man, the problem is he is the 5th highest db in the entire league. solid to good canadian should not get you that especially at db.

I think kramdi would be best off at wil. but if what we did tonight is repeatable that is pretty good too. It is hard to say if our D is for real from what we saw tonight though.

Eli is not a downgrade from ellsbury. He isn’t good at any thing, can’t set the line, snap reliably, pick up any thing, execute zone schemes, or pass block 1 on 1. Eli is limited, but atleast he has some strengths.

If Eli could didnt commit numerous busts in pass pro I might agree but like ballace tonight, he fails to even block someone numerous times a game. He is awful.

Talk about trolling. Easily the worst take I've read this year.

Collaros is cooked GCN20 aka Luke Wilson. It’s ok to accept your boy ain’t what he used to be. Zach hasn’t been good at all. He’s had 1 good game against Montreal and that’s it really. Has zero mobility and just very inaccurate at times. This O was apparently designed for Zach, it’s been terrible. No brady = no chance for this team. Zach holds the ball so long most the sacks he takes is on him, Dru comes in, pressure, quick throw, big gain to singer. Zach would have been sacked. How anyone can say a dude who threw 2 interceptions but should prob have been 4 maybe 5 was good is crazy to me. Zach tried giving this one away but riders DBs couldn’t catch.

I don't know...the entire offence didn't play well....save for Brady.,....scheme, Zach, Oline......

But the defence today...damn.....where has that play been.....can they keep it up....did they finally put it all together within Youngers schemes?

I think the days of Collaros running the O are coming to an end, he's had a great career and clearly can't do what he has done in the past game in game out. Also he really needs to think about his health body and mind after football.

The O line has it's struggles but if the first read is not there for Collaros he panics and gets sacked fairly easily.

Maybe time to really find out what Brown can do for the rest of the year and if he is the guy for years to come

Zach is clearly regressing and did not play well yesterday.

Shhh we're not supposed to talk about that!

Zach could be serviceable as a veteran back up making a fraction of what his current salary is. Unless he is playing behind an S-Tier o-line he just doesn't have it anymore. He has guys underneath open , but doesn't have the ability to make a quick read/toss. His only success is doing the Fajardo spin and hope that he has that extra 2 seconds to make a play.

Either that or drop back and toss it into a quintuple coverage like his first INT and hope that the receiver makes the play. The majority of his throws are off and many times Wilson was saying the ball was thrown late or a yard behind. Harris at least was throwing it to a place that the receiver has a 50/50 or even a slight shot at getting the ball.

Younger was talking about how he has to be more plain with new guys starting in the secondary, I think that's the answer there. They're not over complicating things and it works out better.

That was a horrible call, which was even called out on tsn which is surprising. Plus i mean the most penalized ol we have is big stan by a mile.

You’re right that eli has issues in pass pro Though we’ve mainly seen that at G, haven’t seen enough of him at C. Atleast i’d a guy has 1 flaw you can help cover for that. When a guy is a hole on the ol in all facets you can’t do much.

Elsbury might take a big step forward in year two, i wouldn’t throw him away, but he should be done starting this year.

If vanterpool is/gets healthy if give him some practice time at C and see if he can go in. He’s tremendous as a guard.

I love wilson in the booth. keep his ass off social media and give him the job full time. He isn’t sugar coating it on players or refs or even bad calls from pbp. Serious breath of fresh air.

100%. he seriously out thought him self for a big chunk of the year, atleast he seems to have it figured out now.

I’ll say too, we sucked with vets hand picked by jy for a long time this year. it’s not a years service in the cfl thing. His system was soo needlessly complicated it slowed down guys who usually excel in his system.

I’m begging him to please please keep rushing four sprinkling in the odd blitz stunt to disrupt mr. qb.

It all starts in the trenches, it was a thing of beauty to see TH disrupted for most of the game that makes everyone else’s responsibility more easy to execute.

We can still do better with the design of the pressure packages, and he did get caught up a couple of times in sending 5+. Id rather see us show and drop with anywhere from 3-5 rushers. More stunts and twists, some better personal useage, Etc. Reese dropping back and replacing Jones gave harris fits all night too.

Before we give up entirely on Eli, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, my total experience in football consists of playing a couple of falls in high school, so I am in no position to assess players unless they really soil the linens. Secondly, it has been my belief that a center's play is not just about ability, it is also about coaching and hard-won game experience. I am not sure Eli has been given proper coaching, and he sure as spit has not been allowed to grow into the job, O'Shea being who he is and favouring "his" players. Thirdly, so far as I can tell, Elsbury has not gotten any better with repetition and as we saw with Kolankowski, if the center ain't good, ain't nobody on the line good. Fourthly and lastly, the best one among us to give a global assessment of Eli would be Booch, and I, for one, would appreciate his input.

100%. And his breakdown of the Nield TD catch was great.

Excellent point about Luke Wilson. Hated his socials, reallbroadcasts. y like his commentary during games.

Wilson's like a nineteen year old on social media. bvery immature. Now, that he's in the booth he needs to not say anything like everyone else on the TSN

Always great to come home to Winnipeg & make it to the Banjo Bowl. Love the stadium & the atmosphere, Waking into the stadium seeing all the tailgate parties going on around it is incredible. Nice to finally meet Booch.

Living in YYC, we don't see anything like the BB. The atmosphere at a Stamps game is absolutely dead. The Stamps pad the attendance numbers. They'll say 19,578 fans attended a game at McMahon when in reality it's 9,578 that are truly in the stands. I've been to games where the place is virtually empty. Sad to see from a Calgarian's perspective. Ownership doesn't care if the team wins or loses. As people don't read newspapers anymore or the local sports on tv no longer exists, the Stamps news should be all over social media but it isn't which is a big problem,

Highlight of the year was going to the Okanagan for Touchdown Kelowna. Almost 19,000 each at both Lions games with the Stamps & Elks. The City was a tremendous host. We went to the Lions vs Stamps game. The event was very well run. It had a Grey Cup vibe. It didn't feel like a Lions home game. Lots of fans dressed in their team jerseys. I saw Montreal , Hamilton & Argo jerseys. No RedBlacks fans. Lots of Bombers, Lions , Riders, Stamps & Elks jerseys from the West. Hopefully, someday Kelowna has a CFL team.

Enough with Collaros already. Ive been more than done with him for years now, but this season has to be the end. The guy would get injured in a pillow fight with my 8 year old daughter. His brain is cooked, his arm his cooked, cant take the slightest hit, eats sacks like its his day job, and at 38 years old he still makes brain-dead throws every game that a 21 year old rookie would make. That 2nd INT was an f'ing joke. Whos makes that throw?!? Ive lost count at how many times he's turned the ball over on brain-dead plays in the red zone this season. You just cant do that. Move on with Brown for better or for worse and let Elgersma learn behind him. Enough already.

he slid centre slid other way.

Remember when eli started at C and wallace looked like an all star?

I do...and I still of the opinion that Elsbury has no clue with recognizing fronts..Blitzers...or any twist or stunt and is failing bad on making calls...as ecvident again on multiple free guys just ripping thru...It's not a matter of the guys suck around him...He sucks

Unblocked guy off the edge and Harris gets it away clean. You can't tell me at least half of this isn't on Zach

yup...he cant or doesnt recognize stuff pre sanp like he used to...or is just sooooo slow to process now...Plus TC obviously hasnt coached anyone on what to do to counter it...coaching issues bite again
