In case anyone needed more proof of what a class act Brady O. is, he came out to my son's U13 A3 hockey final today (he is neighbors with one of the boys on the team) to watch the game, give the kids

  • I for one would like to see "Hawk" Tui Eli get in the starting lineup.

To play devil's advocate just a little here, Biggie, BA, and Thomas are well seasoned vets. They have leadership abilities and experience. Sure they are not as fast/strong/agile as they were at least Biggie and BA. Taking one two or all out takes some of that away, and we already have a lot of inexperience on defence already. Those guys have been there seen that and have the shirt....

None of which helps when guys easily run past them. Might as well not be on the field if you can't get to where you need to be.

And it's not like there aren't other vets around to help the new guys on the field or that the new guys (assumingly) are raw rookies either.

Wilson & Kramdi are 7 & 5 year vets respectively and Tony Jones (if he is tabbed as Biggie's replacement) is now in his 3rd year and has a few starts under his belt with Edmonton so there's lots of experience overall there.  Same with BA if they slid Holm over to safety & put Griffin in at HB - Griffin has a bit of experience with Calgary (4 starts & 13 games played) so he's not brand new either.

plus Bonds is 28 as well....and been around football a while...and it shows in his play...The "needing" all these vets is a lil over blown....the team is chalk full of vets on both sides of the ball and on ST's

BA can be serviceable as a nice piece...Thomas and Biggie are easily replaced, and wouldnt be missed really for their contribution on the field...Let Biggie do the Mike Miller thing this yr, and be available in a pinch

With his knowledge of the game Kramdi is also a logical future replacement for BA at Safety, opening up the SAM spot for Cole, Parker or whoever steps up.

I hope not. IMO, Kramdi isn't fast enough, isn't the greatest of tacklers and may not have the football IQ for that position.

None of these guys hold a candle to having a Biggie or Alexander to learn from both on and maybe more importantly off the field. Look the results haven't been what was hoped for, but the thought process to bring these guys in for leadership is not some big whopping mistake like others here would try to sell. Honestly, just a bunch of piling on of every decision the Bombers make over the past 3 years. I don't mind the valid criticisms at all, or looking at things that didn't work out and critiquing them, but the level some posters here are going to make everything the Bombers management and coaching does appear to be without thought or the result of bias is just plain and simply an agenda. An agenda that has taken over this forum for a couple years now trying to whip people into a frenzy.  Look I get the panic of an 0-4 start,  but we got guys who have been banging this drum in 15-3 and 14-4 seasons. We all need to step back from the ledge a little. This is not nearly as bad as we are being led to believe. Is it great...nope....do I hope for some changes...yep. The season is still very recoverable, and our management and coaching is near or at the top of the league.

Biggie & BA are still with the club so even if their roles changed, they'd still have the ability to teach these new guys, just not by example.  It's got to happen eventually and for what those two guys are currently providing on the field, I'd just as rather have the new guys cutting their teeth out there and learning through playtime.

I think if there's anything we have learned about Kramdi... football IQ is absolutely his strength

When Biggie started out the year on IR... I was really hoping he would be Mike Miller'd this year.... great guy to have around the team... just not necessarily on the field on game day anymore

wonder if by strange...he means not necessarily a injury that should have kept him out....just some effect of our lame roster decisions

Hmmmm I’m thinking every pic taken of @17to85 since womb days has him with 2 middle fingers up so I’m questioning its authenticity.

So you're on the left, 17to85 is the middle and Coorsman is on the right? Anybody ever tell you that you look like a young Chris Farley?

With Hardrick requiring surgery and out for this upcoming game......let's hope Big Willy J is rested and ready to dominate the Sask. right tackle all day

Or Garbutt is worth the wait

In the next few weeks we are looking to get some expected/projected (from the beginning of the season) starters back. This season could turn out better than it looked just a short month or so ago  👍🏻

It’s always cool when new finds like Wilson (although it’s early) add to the unexpected excitement of a fan base. Let’s hope there are more especially on the D line when we get everyone back 🤞🏻

It is though because of the lack of succession planning. Been a couple years now bighill has shown a decline, that they haven't even bothered to have a replacement grooming behind him is a huge issue. With bighill and Alexander it's just a total "this is fine" mentality from the coaching staff. Well it's not fine,  dude is worse than  he was last season and that's a problem.
