Brady was better than Stanback

Interesting take since none of the examples you have here lined up across from each other..

Nah Montreal would have played zone blitz all night and he probably turns it over 3-4 times.

Noel Thorp's defense would have ripped his face off.  It would have been a much more lopsided victory for the Als if we had Cofaj starting. The fact he won say more about our defense and defensive scheme than it does about his play.

I just don't understand how Ritchie Hall came in with such a piss poor offensive game plan. He knows what Fajardo can and can't do.

This is what drives me the most insane about tonight. He called a perfect game a week ago.

He knows what he's doing. He knows Fajardo sucks. I can't understand what was going through his mind tonight.

It’s honestly like how they’ve played the first half against most of these type of QBs but there was no adjustment.

And just running a blitz into max protect when they show you 2nd down after each that’s what they will do just turns the advantage over to the O.

I think he did.  The D just didn't execute the plan.

The Als made halftime adjustments we didn't.

And it's not like Osh is going to tell him to change things.

I said at the half whoever adjusts better over halftime will win. The Als seemed to have something figured out offensively, and continued to exploit it. The Bombers didn’t adjust well enough.

Just here to say the sun will rise today, boys. Don't dwell on it too much, there are more important things in life than football.

I hear you, but save the platitudes right now man. We’re all going to hear this all day today.
We all know there are more important things in life.

Most, if not all on here, are lifelong fans of this game. We love the Bombers because our fathers, mothers, grandparents, whoever. We love the game because someone we cherish loved the game before us.

For better and worse, we love the game and the team more than the average fan, and everyone on here gets why. We spent nearly 30 years dreaming of something, and are now having it agonizingly ripped away in slow motion. Sometimes even by the very people who were meant to deliver it.

We were collectively slapped in the face last night in so many ways.

I (and possibly others on here too) am also personally dealing with the slow realization that a single television network is completely ruining the game I love.

This place right now is for us to vent and hurt with others who truly get it.

Sure - but the post I responded to also advocated for the removal of the whole coaching staff.

People are getting idiotic tonight.

we’ve seen full staff wipes or close to it on contenders in the past who couldn’t get over the hump. Not just in the cfl either. Nba coach of the year then fired, nfl teams etc.

it is over the top of fire all of them. Most of the asts are good. Mos is a double edged sword and unlikely to go in any event. After tonight and two gcs like this in a row it is legitimate to talk about mos, hall and bucks job saftey imo.  Of those 3 buck should be the safest. He didn’t do too bad considering Zach again just didn’t deliver.

I really feel like last night damaged this team's legacy. I think that only increases the chance that they run it back

If they “run it back” it’ll be all the way to 2008.

I was losing my mind on the final td pass when I saw them show full blitz again. Normally hall wakes up at half and knocks the stupid stuff off. This time he gave us one of the worst clutch moment calls on D since edm went cover 0 and gave up a game winning 100 yard td to milt.

9 starts 6 tds 8 ints 1854 yards(206 yards per game) 144/209 (68.89%, 8.87 ypa) in a full season of his play off games he’d be on track for 12 tds 16 picks 3707 yards.

2019

 11/21 193 1 td

 17/25 267 1 td

 17/23 170

2021

 17/21 229 1td 3 ints

 21/32 240 2tds 2 ints

2022

 14/20 178 1td 1int

 14/23 183      1int

2023

On both those plays the receivers waited and didn't high point it.  Wolitarsky didn't adjust to the ball at all just kept getting depth even as the DB stepped in front.  Lawler adjusted but mistimed the leap.

I had no issue with either of those throws.  Put it out there for receivers to make plays.  They didn't.

It didn’t look like Lawler and Collaros were on the same page on that play. A throw further to the corner of the end zone would have been a TD 100%. The play looked especially bad since Demski was so wide open for an easy pitch-and-catch on the same side of the field.

This sums it up for me and likely many here. Great post.

Might be time for the Bombers to look to the future and not just next year and not just at the Qb position.

I have no issues with the throws themselves either. The play call...well...I may have run the ball.

They were stuffing Brady on a good number of his runs. That's a really good front 7 over there.  In those weather conditions, it did make sense pass the ball.  IMO, ZC has struggled due to the additional hits he's been taking - he got at least one good smack last night.

Montreal got away with a lot of pushing and shoving after the whistle.  And that last sack on Zach, what was the Montreal player doing?  Was he trying to remove Zach's jockstrap through his uniform?  Seemed to go on long after the whistle, but again nothing from the refs.

As pissed as I am at Zach, make a play "dark side". Two years in a row you can't stop an inferior offense from taking the game from you. The Crum-back game was a warning sign, and the Dolegala labour day game was the clincher. In a close game, this defense can't be counted on anymore to get it done.

And the comments from Biggie and Schoen show both of them were as surprised they were playing as we were, so Oshea needs to explain to the rest of his roster and an entire city why those two guys feelings are more important.

I wasn't aware of their comments. Can you elaborate?

this should be the bell going off that they cant run it back as is....But bringing back all the oline pieces and a few prospects and select the 7 most dominant, and yes I include Bryant and Hardrick...as they were hardly an issue....U bring back the Jeffs...Lawson...Fox..Hansen....but you bring in legit guys to challenge Haba..Garbutt and Walker and then you roster the best of those guys and make your roster accommodate that...no ifs and or buts about it and get back to how we dominated games....all game...Thomas...gone..Schmeckle...never should have even been here..Bennett gone...too old already for what seems like no upside...dude hasnt progressed...at all...You target Bennet and Kongbo from the Hammer to fill those Canadian spots

Nothing next year should be handed or awarded, time to get some young hungry guys with energy...fresh and new to learn from the core we keep.....Biggie should not be back, as he won't be a force/factor for 2025.....Coach needs to make the Cal Murphy/Wally Bouno/Mathews type decision...Not the Dave Ritchie...I fell Cole is gonna be a stud, Clements really came on and is very versatile and young....both uber athletic and Wilson can be the vet now in that group, but we need real challengers in camp, and to keep 1 or two around, on PR and or as the DA's somewhere much like Cole and Clements were used

We seem to be able to find db's quite easily....We bring back Holm..Nichols, Parker, BA. and Rose, and I would say Lawrence too....Houston needs to be on the bubble and really round out his game, so he needs to beat out some new talent, and we need to bring in some guys with physicality and ability to consistently play a man game with route disruption...and let em all battle like the year we brought in Alford and Nichols

I like our receiver group as is, but I wanna see a true guy ...or 2 on the PR this year who can step in and actually be used...not stand around on sideline, or be ignored if he gets in....seen too much of that the past 2 yrs....

Our foot soldiers....I'd keep Hallett..Kelly...Exume...Karamoko....Gauthier...the rest can be easily replaced with a drafted kid who actually can contribute out side of teams....and with FA guys coming out of the entry level deals from other teams...there will be lots to chose from....And the Jackson thing needs to be eliminated...he is a raw 32 yr old import with zero upside on defence and teams, and his role on offence is laughable at best as the reason he was kept around

And if we are going to stick with an Import kicker, he needs to do all 3 jobs and free up another roster spot.....A DA kicker and a Global punter is poor use.....have one or the other do em all, or do what it takes to bring in a Hallelujha....

It's not wholesale by any means...but it's a few succession positions, and some scheme and roster things that need to get done...no more this hokey BS spin from Osh...

Now to QB....I kinda on the fence there. Is Brown the future...could be...I kinda was in doubt....but went back and watched some clips on him and more I look...more I like....I like the calmness...and he seems to be more assertive now than ZC and will take whats there more than force things.....and yeah ZC is gonna be 36 next year, 37 the following....Does anyone think he gonna be the guy for 2025...I cant see it...Tough decision time...Maybe have those talks with him now...see if he wants to end his career back in the Hammer....close to home....where he started....u never know, package him up for Bennett and or Kongbo now, and maybe a pick or two and give us the ability to negotiate before FA....and then we sign the Strev and Brown....base salary at half of what ZC was to get...but incentive built for starts, and bonuses...make em earn it....That would be a real good 1A/1B tandem...would eliminate the need for Prukopp and his higher salary than what a fresh faced rookie to develop would cost us

ZC since last yr has seemed a bit off, and not the wizard he was....is it age?...self doubt?...injury issues....fear of injury in his head?...dunno but something has changed there....He had a great 4 yrs here..will be honored for sure....but lots of guys in history had great runs, but u gotta move on...

that was my one fear...I knew Schoen was close...and very possible, but would be more limited....and it would basically hand cuff our roster more than it has been all yr....and well....it happened...MOS has been hand cuffing us all yr for no other reason than his personal bias...and was not for the better of the team.

Same with refusing to use the Nationalized rule...all damn yr...which would only have helped us in some situations this yr
